Where do I begin. VillaSport is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Ill try not to make this long, but I want people to be aware of what kind of scam they run on their members. I began membership a year ago and added 5 other family members. I went from 24 hour fitness to Villa because of the upgraded experience, atmosphere, and friendliness of the staff. Boy was I wrong... Sadly, I lost my job, had to move back to Colorado, and my card got declined from Villa. A member account representative by the name of Samantha contacted me about it and was one of the rudest people Ive ever spoken too. I explained my situation to her, asked if there is any way she can make an exception to waive the fees and she pretty much just said no and told me to contact a director at the Villa. I promptly visited the Villa in Colorado Springs by the cancellation date, Oct 15th, and was told by the CO Villa staff that I must cancel with the Beaverton location where I started my membership. I called the Beaverton location that day, and the front desk said they would relay the message to the staff that handles the cancellations. Keep in mind, Im calling on the 15th, which is when you need to cancel in order for it be be effective that month. I stressed that I need to cancel that day. Then two days later, Cody, emails me the cancellation form. I filled it out, emailed it back to Cody immediately after receiving it, and then I dont get any type of response from him. I sent out another email on Oct 21st to Cody to follow up due to his lack of response after I sent the cancellation to him, and then he replies that he received it, but that my cancellation doesnt take effect until next month (Nov) which means I am getting charged another month of dues. Now Im getting upset because I did what I was supposed to do on my end in order to cancel by Oct 15th. Not too sure why my message was not given to the staff that handles cancellations immediately, especially when I told the front desk that I needed to cancel that day. This is a clear mistake on their end, yet they are still trying to squeeze out another month of dues out of me. Had they provided the form to me that day when I requested, then I wouldnt be in this mess. I asked Cody what he can do about the additional dues they were going to charge since this was due to no fault of my own. He gives me the email of the Director of the club, Jeff, regarding the waiver of the dues. I email Jeff, no response for 5 days. This seems to be a consistent theme amongst everyone working there.... Then I send another email and Jeff finally replied, and let me say, he is ALSO one of the rudest, unprofessional, and unsympathetic persons I have ever dealt with. You would think that going to a club like Villa, and paying a higher premium than those other gyms, that you would be treated with a little bit of respect. But no, Jeff was the exact opposite. He really didnt care to hear my situation. Im not sure why EVERYONE at Villa is EXTREMELY rude, but I have yet to encounter someone there that will actually listen to me without turning my request down. So long story short, they wont acknowledge the fact that they messed up on not canceling me on Oct 15th like I had asked. They are making me pay that extra month. In reading other YELP reviews, it seems that this has happened before to others. I would expect this type of behavior from a other, sub-par gyms, but Id have to say Villa leads the pack on the most unprofessional, rude, and irresponsible companies. Please beware when you decide to sign up for a membership with them because once they have you as a member they dont really care for you.

Aside from the beauty and kind customer services and amazing facility there is a problem with pool area ... it appears that babies and untrained kids are allowed in the big pool! My suggestion would be that there is a separate kids pool ages 4 and under. Three times this week the guests were summand out of the pool as feces were found in the water. This is not only disgusting but highly bacterial and dangerous. I dont know if they actually drain the pool or simply treat it ... but in any case I cant allow my grandson to swim here with a chance to get echoli(SP?) I am concerned for the indoor kidee pool area to where many babies and 6 and 7 year old also play. Many babies (tons) are allowed to swim in diapers that may leak or allow feces to leak as well. How do or could they monitor this at all times for cleanliness and safety? ROPE SLIVERS Additionally, on the first day we swam with our membership package my grandson was subject to a ROPE sliver that embedded under his finger nail and caused great pain and agony. This injury was caused from the pool ropes that fray and splinter when touched. We almost had a trip to Emergency over it; as he cried for 5 hours as we tried to get it out ... It appears the rope at the play area tire jump splits or shreds; and in the water slide area rope as well. These rope slivers are painful and hard to get out. Parents Beware! Had I seen a sign I would of warned my grandson not to touch them. if you have ever had anything go under your finger nail ... you can imagine how painful this was and to try and touch it made it worse... Not a good experience on our first day and now 2 times getting out due to this poop problem... awwwwwww A total refund should be given ... We cant go back after this or until there is a solution. The staff was not concerned, I never got a call from the manager as requested and I feel that notices for play at your own risk should be posted. I would like to add that only one English lady that was a staff member and who was amazing cared to help. After seeing my grandson screaming in pain she offered to assist, but to no avail could we touch the sliver without further shrieking and crying ... I was a wreck to staet the least. I wanted to also mention the teenager in the locker room who tried to find tweezers for me. . My grandson was screaming in pain and the first aid people would not assist me or did they have any tweezers on sight. Just young kids who did not know what to do...... and did nothing to assist the situation. I since carry tweezers in my purse at all times. Slivers under the fingernail can be very torturous. So in all our experiences for the money spent has not been good or worth it and I am saddened at the lack of concern of the owners and managers.

On occasion, on Monday morning, early, the spa tub in the mens room is being drained and isnt in service. And thats about all I have to complain about if thats even a complaint. To me, its a good sign that this place has service and hygiene controls in place. This place is awesome - great staff who are courtesy and friendly without pushing a product or sale - excellent machines and pool/workout rooms - fabulous accommodations for after the workout including sauna, steam-room, hot tub, lounge area as well as a lot of the extras - shampoo-condition-body wash-shaving crème-aftershave-etc. I read some of these other comments and figure they must have been born just short of royalty or blue bloods cause this place is better than some of the spas at the best hotels in this country. There is always a staff or crew person cleaning, picking up, checking on things and its clean. I mean really clean. I love the review the complained about the street noise from traffic while laying by the pool - yeah, its right next to NIKE World Campus in the busiest suburb in Portland, that might have been a clue theres going to be some noise but pretty sure your choice for an outdoor pool area as nice as this with spa and short lap/kids pool and a outdoor bar and cabanas in the Portland area is ... yeah, none. And I too lost my swim goggles and earplugs in the locker room and had them returned to me by end of the week when I went up as POLITELY told the desk staff of my loss. Amazing what asking for help versus demanding service will accomplish. It is expensive. Frankly, a lot more than I wanted to pay. But the setting, service, quality of machines and classes is great - it doesnt have the "I just drank my 12th caffeine laden protein drink and am going to grunt and sweat on the machine next to you" feel nor is it a "hey baby, hey baby, hey baby" hook up joint. The fact you can come in, relax, chill in the locker room and lock up your stuff - work out or not work out - there are days I just want to watch ESPN SportsCenter in the sauna - and then clean up and leave feeling great. For that, couple times a week, other than maybe a membership at the MAC, where can you get that ? In Portland ?
