I cant say that I hated this gym because I didnt. I was there 4 - 6 times a week sometimes. After a while, you get to know some people and your attention is a little more focused. Today I had to cancel my membership because issues that have been brought up in the past are not being taken seriously nor are they acted upon. I had asked the club manager, Ashley, at least twice before to get certain things cleaner. The urinals, the floors in the bathroom, the shoes on the ellipticals. Today I walked into the club and there is no paper towels in the non-functioning dispensers, no soap in the restrooms, toilet paper and garbage on the floor in the stalls, used band aids in the showers, and the maintenance guy is upstairs on a treadmill. The weekends are worse. Even while discussing these issues in front of another employee, Ashley didnt apologize nor did she try to make a consolation for me to a different location or anything. I dont mind paying $35 a month to go to this specific club and only this club, but not at the possible expense to my health. This is even after asking about what could be done to prevent the possible transmission of a disease that could be transmitted in the locker room when carried by another member. I was told that there is nothing that could be done about it because its against the law to ask about medical conditions. I was assured that the cleaning schedule was sufficient enough to prevent the spread of disease. But not from what I saw today. In addition, its way too overcrowded at times and when asked about this, I was told to adjust my work-out time. The trainers dont seem to care about clients at times when they are too busy talking to friends or boy/girlfriends. I will go to 24hour and give them $40 a month to go to any club in the country. I would not recommend this club to anyone and as a matter of fact, stay the hell away from it.

I went to the first free personal training session they offer when you first sign up, making it absolutely clear to Jake, a memeber of the personal training staff, that I havent been physically active for the past couple years. We began the work out normally with some basic exercises to get the heart rate going. Then Jake takes me over to the squat rack and has me do A SUPERSET (alternate two exercises in the same set without rest between reps) with a deadlift exercise and a weird inverted pull up that Ive never done before. I was confused as to why Jake was making me do such an exercise that would even be grueling for a person in good shape. Halfway through the exercise I reach a point where I know Im going to puke. I had to sprint to the bathroom and puke my guts out because Jake worked me so hard. Absolutely terrible experience for a new customer and Jake needs to be fired. The most outrageous thing was him STILL TRYING TO SELL ME ON THE TRAINING PLAN EVEN AFTER WHAT HE DID TO ME. And not just after I came out of the bathroom, but calling me 2 SEPARATE times after I said NO. It should be common sense that if a customer says they havent worked out in 2 years, then you should give them a light workout, but with Jake it felt like I was back in high school running sprints until I threw up which is everything but enjoyable. Jake of the personal training staff at you Beaverton location needs to be fired immediately, he has no respect for customers.

Weve been members for six months now, and overall we really love it. We werent given the hard sell (but to be fair, my personality type doesnt allow for it and I would have called them out on it immediately if they had started doing that), and they worked really hard to find a membership option that was a good fit for our familys needs. Even though theyre not as cheap as Ballys and the YMCA (our previous gyms), they have racquetball (and we can make/cancel court reservations via their app! awesome!) their facility is very clean and the layout is well-designed, the equipment is newer and more plentiful (Ive never waited for a machine here. Ever.), and their kids club is really inexpensive (and the primary selling point for us, even if its only open during the morning and evening peak hours). I second the other reviewers recommendation about Matt...hes always been helpful and made himself available when we have questions or concerns. Were there 4-5 days a week, and the staff always greets us and our infant daughter by name, which Ive rarely had happen as a regular gym-goer except for at the Ballys on Beaverton-Hillsdale highway (before they shut down that location and we signed up at the Y). So overall, its not the cheapest option, but in terms of how I feel when I go to this gym, its totally worth it by far.

Gym has terrible management and bored kids as employees. As opposed to a friendly message that the gym is about to close and starting to kick stragglers out after close they hassle everyone extremely rudely every night starting 10-15 minutes before close and rudley stand while you leave showers or spas when you still have plenty of time to be out of the door before close. Occasionally they decide they are going to close the gym 10 minutes early because the "cleaning staff is coming" or some other lame excuse. You have set hours...does it make more sense to kick everyone out early without notice or to have your cleaning crew come 10 minutes later. The hours are already extremely limited as is. Locker rooms are full of creepy older men who think it is OK to trim various hairs while standing butt naked in the most crowded area possible. Trainers often seem to spend more time picking up dates or gossiping then doing their job. Bottom line is the gyms need a clean sweep in management or to start reducing their price.

I have had a lot of trouble getting them to keep my membership price the same 2999 a month but they charged me 3499 a month and are doing month after month even though I hav been trying to quit my membership with them. I have heard over and over they are going to check my history and get back to me, I have alled over a dozen times and still yet have to hear back from them. Nobody seems to know what I am talking about. I even sent in a paper to quit my membership and I am still receiving bills for 3499 monthly. Good luck if you are looking for a great place to work out. Be careful when you go in, they seem very friendly and the place looks amazing, but they will get you behind the billing and costomer service.

Its a nice facility with current equipment. Like most gyms, they are packed during peek hours, so I usually try to avoid them if possible. For the most part the staff is friendly. Occasionally, I will enter or leave a session and a few employees are kicking back and talking in the check-in area and completely ignore me. It doesnt bother me on a personal level, but from a business perspective, I think its unprofessional. The major negative I can say is the cleanliness of the facility. They seem to have a hard time keeping up with the traffic. The Purell and soap dispensers are often empty, trash cans full, that type of thing. Overall, theyre not bad for the money. I guess it depends on your standards.
