Ive been a long time member of this gym and while I understand the desire for a perfect gym experience but well it is a place that you should expect imperfection. One area they definitely could use some improvement is their pool maintenance. I maintain two outdoor pools (albeit with less usage) and I keep them looking crystal clear and pretty. I think proper training in this area is critical, and definitely a lacking area at this gym. Another area that could use improvement is the clean up in the locker rooms. The gym is a very busy gym; parking and the use of equipment can be a hassle at times. You have a problem with that use another gym. Enough about the bad stuff, time for the good stuff. They have been updating their equipment and making it friendlier to the crossfit crowd, the only thing they need now are bumper plates. The maintenance on most of their equipment gets done in a timely manor, some of those specialized machines can take time and I understand that. The staff have been great to me, and the crew that is in there most late nights are really good people, Im not talking about just the staff Im talking about the people in there training. Their trainers are also great, though a bit on the pricey side of things.

I just moved from the Pearl in Portland to somewhere closer to this gym. Because this is a "Super Sport" I needed to upgrade my membership and pay them just to try the club out(my membership is only for "Sport" facilities). They wouldnt even let me try it out, they wanted my money right then and there and then explained that I could get a refund if I dont like it. I find this really shady and unnecessary, I have been enrolled with them for years. You would think they would cut you some slack for being such a loyal customer, but think again. No matter how long youre with them they still treat you like youd expect any large faceless company would. I was also with a friend, who they refused to let in FOR JUST ONE NIGHT because she happened to live out of town. What a waste of time to go in there. We went to a smaller 24 hour gym that was close--Snap Fitness--and they let us in and let us try it for the day. Needless to say, I am cancelling my membership to 24 hour to go to the smaller gym. 24 hour fitness is not worth the money and hassle, and they dont treat their customers the way they should.

Ive been going to this 24 hour fitness for about 7 months and pay $45 per month. I would give this business an excellent rating. The staff is always friendly and go out of their way to say hello when I come in and say good bye when I leave. There are plenty of cleaning supplies around and we customers do a pretty good job of sanitizing the machines ourselves and there are always employees cleaning something or other. The lockers are bigger than than the lockers at other 24 hour fitness and they give you as many clean towels as you want. The place is always busy but Ive never had to wait for a machine. Most times I can get a good parking spot near the entrance but if I time it wrong sometimes you do have to park on the 2nd or 3rd story of the parking garage. I definitely give the place 2 thumbs up. The only things I would improve would be to not have the employees hog the best parking spots, the water level gets kinda low in the hot tub sometimes, and some of the customers could show better manners in the locker room.

I dont mind the crowds because you can pick times to go in when its not overcrowded. What I dont like is the steam room shower area shady people. Employees dont do anything about the shady behavior that goes on in there. I have always loved the steam room, but wont even go near it now. Also, its not so great to see the hairy guy drying his balls with the hand dryer when you go in to wash your hands. Thats not even the least of it, I have seen things that I cannot even mention. I would give 2.5 stars if I could but will give them the benefit of the doubt. Not good for family, your kids should not have to see that. I would switch gyms but I was grandfathered in and locked in to contract so im pretty much stuck. Plus its not that bad if you know how to avoid the crowds and the locker and pool areas.

I wanted to commend these 3 trainers at 24 hr fit! Ryan A. Barry M, Scott.C 8 months ago I ruptured an upper right ab tendon, which I had no idea, I went to kiser to see my general md, she had no idea, after some time speaking with Scott C. And Berry, they put there heads together with Ryan A. Ryan A. Was able to explain the anatomy, what could and could not happen, I verified with my buddy josh on the east coast. Who was a military medic and chaplain assistant what excise to do and who to see, better than the hospital in my mind. THANKS TO RYAN, BARRY, SCOTT! GREAT TRAINERS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE WHICH IS MOST IMPORTANT I I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE SEROUS, NOT SO SERIOUS AND EVERYONE IN THE MIDDLE, ABOUT TRAINING, HEALTH, FITNES ! :-)

This place is disgusting! The shower rooms have an extremely high urine content, the smell is so strong! Its smells strong day after day, many customers have complained with me. The vents in the shower room are dripping dirt out of them! The staff is horrible, rude high pressure sale tactics. If you come to them with any actual problems they could care less. When I came to them about the high urine content in their shower rooms I was told it has something to do with the pipes. The work out floor has many areas that in sure have never been cleaned, Just these nasty permanent smells that are their day after day in the same sections because no one has cleaned them.

1) didnt let me read what I was signing for completely 2) signed up for a year long membership with out any knowledge of doing so 3) kept me on a goose chase telling me there was no way out even though I never went after the 3 months I thought I was under contract for 4) very rude, unprofessional, didnt care at all about my issues and just liked to shove that cooperate wont do anything 5) NO REFUND EVEN THOUGH I NEVER WENT AND NEVER RECIEVED A COPY OF MY CONTRACT Never going again, never should have. Honestly the most anxiety driven Ive ever been... Huge waste of money!! About 400$ and counting since Im STILL UNDER F****** contract.

Ive worked out at just about every major gym in the Portland Metro area and the staff here just doesnt care. After a couple incidents with trainers kicking people off equipment and members taking up massive areas during peak hours it is a miserable experience. From rust, "loogies", and dirt all over the drinking fountains and piles of towels all over the locker room it is simply unpleasant, coupled with cardio equipment constantly being broken, I wonder what I am paying for. If it wasn;t right next to my home I never would go, and as soon as I find different gym I will go there.
