After working in customer service for a number of years, Ill be the first to admit Ive come to have pretty high standards. However; while Im quick to praise great service, Im rarely one to take my complaints online. Thats until today. THOMAS JOSEPH PERSONALIZED DRY CLEANING in Clackamas-DO NOT GO THERE!! First they misquoted me when I dropped off my wedding dress to get cleaned. Thomas called me to let me know they would need to charge me double. Annoyed as it was their mistake, but fine. I went to pick up my dress (they did note there was a stain they werent able to remove on the bust, which I expected) and when I took it out of the plastic when I got home, I noticed tiny little splatter spots across the front. They were rather randomly specked across the bust, under the bust, and along the front. Probably not noticeable at first glance, but on a white dress, they looked like tiny pen marks everywhere. I called to let them know and they said they had to see the dress. I took it back in and then got a call from Thomas he couldnt get them out without damaging the fabric and then accusing me of dropping off the dress that way ORIGINALLY and that his cleaner said they must be red wine or blood stains. Um, I didnt even serve red wine at my wedding, so therefore I wasnt anywhere close to it. And blood splatter stains? On my WEDDING DRESS? Am I Dexter? Again...fishy. He then said they were maybe sugar from alcohol settling into my dress? Again...nice try. The stains were NOT there when I dropped off the dress. Yes, they did clean the rest of the dress as the hem was cleaned and tiny food stain was out. However; it loooked like someone shook a gold paint marker nearby and spots landed on my dress. Close up-the color is GOLD. He started yelling at me when I got upset that they ruined my dress. He was terribly rude, raised his voice and constantly interrupted me when I spoke. I was clearly upset, but the way he handled it, which was to get defensive and angry at ME was terribly inappropriate. He even said that I was just trying to get a "deal" in the first place, when it was their employee who misquoted me-resulting in them calling me to change the price after I dropped it off. He claimed my dress was so soiled when that is a complete lie-he can ask the employee who I dropped it off with. There was a yellow stain on the bus from a lei I wore, but otherwise, pretty standard. In the end I settled for a small refund and he said the stain was permanent, no one can get it out and he would pay for anyone who could in a very condescending manner. I was appalled at such terrible service-both on my dress and from the owner- from "someone who has been in business for 32 years and has a great reputation". BOYCOTT this place, PLEASE!

I have used Thomas Joseph Personalized Dry Cleaning for the past 9 years. I am very satisfied with their drycleaning and laundry services. They always note any specific instructions I give, especially when dealing with delicate or stained items. Some of the clothes I buy are expensive and I dont buy them very often, so I know I can trust Thomas Josephs drycleaning with my items, whether they are expensive or not. Drycleaning is a great way to lengthen the life of my clothes. My husband loves a nicely pressed dress shirt and I havent found another drycleaner that takes care of the clothing like this cleaner does. They even replaced buttons on my husbands shirts that were missing when I took them in, as a courtesy! As a business owner, I appreciate the wonderful customer service that this drycleaner has. The staff is courteous, which is very important to me. I highly recommend this cleaner.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR MILITARY ALTERATIONS!!! I purchased a brand new set of ASUs and took them here. Two days after I was fitted and dropped them off, they called me to tell that the jacket was damaged. When I arrived to pick up the jacket and inspect it, I was amazed at how much of an unserviceable state this brand new jacket was now in. (1) This jacket was brand new (2) While being marked/fitted, we (the tailor and I) had no indication that there was damage. The only thing that she said was that it needed to be cleaned. They made no offer that they would compensate me for the damage. They immediately and emphatically blamed it on the manufacturer (Marlow White). Now I must spend another $250 to replace it. I will be letting everyone I work with and interact with to AVOID this place.

Thomas worked with our company to establish a unique model that only could have been accomodated by a small business owner with the flexibility to adapt to consumer needs. He was eager to help keep costs low and followed through with every detail. Thomas is a very cordial individual who made my job easier, would definitely recommend his company.

I have taken my dry cleaning to Thomas Joseph for several years at mulitple locations and have never had anything but the best of service, from the quality cleaning of the returned clothes to replacement of buttons and repair of minor wear and tear.

Washed my clothes ($15.00) and they became stained with black grease. Told person in charge and they laughed and said, "He He He thats why we put up the sign" which said they were not responsible. Never use this place. What a waste.

Great place. Cleanest laundromat in town. Wish they were open sundays.
