I wouldnt wish this place on my worst enemy. I have no idea why their Google rating is so high -especially after reading poor reviews elsewhere. My transmission went out at the beginning of July. didnt get my car back for 3 weeks as they kept pushing the due date out. Claimed that it was driving just like new and that they had run a 25-50 mile test drive (numbers not supported by the odometer). Service light went off as I left the lot. They claimed the computer hadnt been reset. One day and 50 miles later, it goes back on. Soon every light goes on and the car shudders to a halt in the middle of a forested highway. Said theyd cover the tow and fix the problem. A few days later after checking in with them, they said they couldnt cover the tow and that they had no idea what was wrong -theyd have to keep the car for a week or 2. After a few more rounds of phone calls they said the battery was shorting the electrical system and needed to be replaced for $200. I was beyond done at this point. My wife goes to get the car with a AAA tech to pick up the car. AAMCO hands her their report about the battery and she has the AAA technician test it. The battery is fine and their report is bogus. They didnt even put our battery back in properly. A few days later, a reputable local shop took all of a few hours to figure out that the issue was with one of our catalytic converters. Avoid AAMCO like the plague. From the beginning their communication was poor and the lies became more evident the longer I was forced to deal with them. Do your research online and youll find several stories that sound just like this one. Dont make the same expensive mistake that I did.

I feel honored to be the first to post a review on such an awesome and respectable company. The new location( being not far from the old one) is very spacious and comfortable, not just for the customers, but for your automobile. They take great pride and care in their work and in their customers. AAMCO is dedicated to customer service and making sure customers are happy and satisfied. I recently had my transmission rebuilt, and I am so happy with the results, that I now take my car to AAMCO for regular routine check ups and maintenance. With the cost of living at an all time high, and jobs limited, please do not be discouraged. If your like myself and cannot afford the big projects (such as transmission repair) AAMCO offers financing along with a 10 year warranty on their work. The Gresham AAMCO has outstanding customer service and thee best qualified employees. I can personally guarantee that YOU will be just as happy as I am with their services.

My first time experience was so wonderful! They took great care of me and answered all my questions. Also, got my car done in a short period of time. The manager Mike is so wonderful and friendly and he made me feel comfortable with all the ridiculous questions I had, with me not knowing anything about cars, and briefly explained to me what was what and why my car wasnt working corectly. Also, the towing guy that they go through was also wonderful. They kept in touch with me the whole time and kept me updated about the car and what was going on. I love the fact that they dont make you feel like theyre trying to get over, by that I mean Ive been through a lot of different companies and they make you feel like we dont know anything and charge the MAX! and I love the fact that they do FREE checks! And GREAT AFFORDABLE PRICES! Definitely would recommend! And would go back again! THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE AWESOME EXPERIENCE!

If they would allow me to put a - on here I would. Gresham AAMCO is by far the worst of the worst. The lie and steal your money. 3 months ago we had a $5500.00 transmission done by this company, within a week my employee complained the transmission was doing the same thing as it was prior to new one going in. They checked it out, said no problems. less then 2 months with issues, tranny failed. We take it back to the shop, they actually blamed the driver. YEP BLAMED the driver. Said that 2 tranny parts were rubbing together and put a hole in the line, making this the drivers fault. They now want me to put another $2000.00 into it for parts. After arguing with them, they now will not accept my calls and only want cash when I had another employee call. Called customer care and they said there is nothing they can do since they are franchised. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLES HERE.. I am posting blogs all over the internet.

5 stars is NOT enough. Mike not only helped me with financing, he was also on the phone with me every step of the way. The day my car was done [right on time] my loaner car broke down. By the time I had a ride to get my car it was close to closing time the day before Thanksgiving. I called Mike and he and his crew stayed late for me to get there. The outside temps were in the 30s so Mike had the guys keep my car inside and running so it was warm for me. Until I walked in the door Mike had no idea I am 47 years old and disabled and the cold temps make it difficult for me to walk. Ive been burned by other so called shops in the past and let me say this...take your car to AAMCO. I know I will for the rest of my life.

A big round of applause to Erik the manager of the gresham location!! I was having some trouble with my car so I called the aamco on 82nd and I was sent in circles by Dave who after blowing off 2 appointments actually asked me to leave my car with the keys in it and he would get to it... At that point I called Erik and never once regretted it. He was professional and patient in dealing with me I really appreiciate him and everything he did for me. Absolutely wonderful guy!! I went in today for my 10 day inspection to find someone else there who did not acknowlege my presence and sent me away for not calling him first. very disappointed with the service I got from Andy O.

I had my car at the dealership for three days and still had not looked at it. I called Aamco in Gresham and I talked to Leo. He was very pleasant over the phone and I felt comfortable with him. He told me to bring it in and they would have it looked at in two hours, not three days. He always called when he said he would and he keep us in the loop the whole repair. It is nice to found a repair shop you can trust. That is why I have and will let friends and family know were to have there cars repaired. Thank Leo Russ and Susan

Mike and crew were awesome. I dont remember a time I have left a repair facility without feeling a little screwed, until now. Mike was great on the phone, and when I dropped my car off, very nice as well. He called me and told me that there were some things that needed attention. My immediate thought was "here we go", but Mike told me what was needed, what did I want to do. We got things fixed up and I left the store spending LESS than expected. Nice surprise! Thanks, guys! Ill be back.
