I was asked to write a review of my personal experience from the crew there at Planet Fitness. I of course said, "yes," Obviously because here I am writing it. I have taken Statistics and know that reviews are more common from people who are either really dissatisfied or had such a good experience that they have to share it with the world. So, you cant really count on people subjective opinions because your experience will be far different than anyones, plus you should go because you want too, not because you want to follow in some ones foot prints. I have just started going because I made a deal that I would get into military shape again before I got to old to care, or hurt so bad I would be discouraged. I go and workout everyday, use the amenities everyday, talk with the staff everyday, and feel better each and everyday. The people are nice, the staff are nice, and it has been overall a positive experience. So, if you so choose to better your life through working out, why not try it for yourself. I love that there is no fees to sign up and I can leave at any time without being charged for future months. Its up to you and what you want, dont go try it out because of what I say, or someone else, go because you want too. Wish you the best and I want to say thanks to this gym for just being close to home and not being horrible! :)

The 30 minute workout is an awesome idea and when everyone is following the pattern its like you have a room of workout buddies. When someone isnt though, the staff does nothing despite walking through there multiple times. Then I get to be the awkward one having to tell men twice my size to stop hogging the machines. I enjoy the hydro massage and massage chairs, the total body enhancement is something similar to what my chiropractor used so I feel like its science based at least? It is a surprising workout. I hate that all the tanning beds are standing beds. They should at least offer some variety. The last thing I want to do after working out is stand for 10 minutes in a hot bubble with inadequate fans. Ive also had to, multiple times, get redressed and go back to the front desk because they forgot to start the bed. The beds at the Salem location are amazing, not sure why this location decided to massively downgrade. Also, after going to the Salem location, Id highly suggest this location upgrade to the computerized check in system. Fumbling with clipboards and wasting paper seems silly if other PF locations have better tech. Overall the gym is pretty good. If I had not seen the clearly superior Salem location it probably would have got 4 stars.

VERY POOR Costumer Service. My wife and daughter joined the gym about to years ago but I was the one paying it. Just after few weeks of joining, they stopped going due to some reasons but I kept the membership anyway. I thought of cancelling it but went to a staff and honestly told them about it and asked if I can use it instead of cancelling it. The staff agreed. I havent gone back to the gym myself. So I decided to start today but our membership badges are missing. But I went to the gym anyway. I asked for new badge and honestly told them that Im using my wifes membership. They said that I cant do that. I explained but the lady working in there wont give me a chance. I was mad and I am sorry. I ended up cancelling two memberships which are getting paid every month for not being use. PF can check on that in their system. Im pretty sure that with their poor system of checking in for the gym, people are just passing their badges to one another. What is $20 anyway? Im only one out of the millions PF members. I just wished that my case would have been treated in a propesional way. It really made my day. Anyway...best wishes to Planet Fitness!

After attending at this gym for several months, I officially canceled my membership yesterday. Why did I do that? Well, if youre going to the gym for long term, then grabbing a membership pass at Costco for 24 Hour Fitness is a much better deal than Planet Fitness. Planet Fitness for this location is nice, but I felt like it could be improve in terms of the professionalism of staff members when interacting with themselves. The place is very clean and I love how everyone always clean their workout machine after they finish using it. They also offer free pizza and veggies every first Monday of the month (around 5 p.m. PST). And they offer free bagels every second Tuesday of the month (around 6 a.m. PST). The mens locker room is alright, a bit cramped, but alright. The bathroom and sinks are sort of clean, but not always (some toilet paper left out on the ground and such). Ive been to this gym at least 3-4 times a week and spent around 2 hour for several months. When I enter the place, it doesnt feel like "home." I think they can definitely improve the environment of this gym. If anybody has questions about this particular gym, feel free to contact me.

I had originally joined at the Beaverton location but recently moved to Hillsboro and decided to go to this location. Before I had went to the gym I called to see if I was able to use it and was told "yes", no mention of transferring locations. My first visit at this location at check-in, I mentioned I was from the Beaverton location but moved up here, they had me sign on a clip board (no mention of needing to change locations). So, I continue to go for 5 days in a row no mention about transferring or signing onto a clipboard. Until, the 6th day I go someone stops me telling me I cant use the gym until I pay a $5 fee or transfer locations. Then Im told I need to download the app in order to transfer which takes 20-30 mins trying to set it up, when I could have easily done it on the website. Now I cant use the gym 2-3 days until the transfer goes through. Extremely frustrating and horrible customer service experience.

The customer service personnel seemed so distracted that I could not tell who was staff and who was not. One staff member , Brenna was so very helpful and did her best for us in getting our member tags and info. They are busy though and I understand but its not good for future business. When asking a question of staff members other than Brenna, the vacant look in their eyes tells me the training is not very formative and that is not fair to staff members or their customers! Staff person Brenna was terrific and both myself and my wife really liked her and her helpfulness. More attention to staff formation in customer service should take care of it. Otherwise I liked the Gym and the set-up. Its spacious and clean with enough equipment for easy access to the machine of choice. Its a friendly place to work out!

I joined this gym and used it once. I went to the locker room after working out and started to disrobe. I turned around to realize there had been a male staff member cleaning in the womens locker room while I was getting half naked. There were no signs posted and he never said a word. I quickly dressed and left. I returned that afternoon to speak to the manager and one of the girls at the front desk laughed when I explained what had happened. The manager seems like the only real adult employee in a sea of kids who dont care if they humiliate and mock the customers. I am overweight and I was attracted to this gym, thinking it was made for people like me. Their motto is no judgement, but I left feeling very judged.
