My son and I joined a couple of weeks ago. We arent your typical "gym" people (come to think of it we arent typical people) and went because of their marketing the "Judgment Free" thing. Well, after two weeks of visits Id have to say that it isnt just marketing. No one has called me a dirty hippie and there hasnt been even a single instance of being laughed at in the locker room. There isnt a bunch of meatheads grunting and leering at any female that happens by. Ive been in there 4 days a week and havent had to speak to a single human being... which is awesome! The person who signed us up was very up front about the cancellation policy and was extremely helpful. I even got my picture taken and a free t-shirt. Which is really cool. I like t-shirts better than button ups. Can you imagine everyone working out in button up Planet Fitness swag? I just wish they gave free boots with their memberships since I left my boots there yesterday and no one turned them in. My brother gave me those boots and he passed away. My fault for not looking in my locker to make sure I grabbed everything though. There seems to be a tanning bed open all the time (I dont use them cause I hate the sun and cancer) and the massage beds are really great, if youre into that sort of thing. Showers are clean, toilets are flushed and sparkling, and I have noticed that mostly everyone takes the time to wipe down the machines after they use them, which is cool cause Id hate to get the flu or dirty fingers just from trying to be healthy. I mean, damn, for $10 a month they are getting it done! Think about what you can get for $10 anywhere else! $10 has barley paid for the amount of electricity Ive used since Ive been there so..... Im already a winner! Overall I dig this place. Easy sign up, nice facility, friendly staff. A+

Ive never been a gym person, but Planet Fitness has worked great for me. The staff have, in general, been very good. Lisa and Ashlea at the front are great; very helpful, very friendly, and they work really hard at recognizing you if you come in on a regular basis. Rob, one of the trainers, is awesome too. There have been a couple of times that I wanted to cancel my sign-up for a class and Rob has encouraged me to make it in which I never regret. The facility itself is well kept too. The equipment always seems to be in good repair and the bathrooms and workout areas a clean. The few times that Ive seen pads or whatever start to wear out, they get replaced pretty quickly before the item becomes unusable. They have different areas to workout in: weights, a circuit area, treadmills, and an area for abs and medicine ball type workouts. One thing that I appreciate about this gym is their focus on getting "non-gym people" in. Even though their "judgement free zone" slogan is just marketing, it does seem to work; people are respectful of the rules, and many seem to feel less intimidated working out there. There are always plenty of treadmills and other similar equipment available which is nice. I like the classes that they offer too. If you are more advanced in the workouts you do, this honestly may not be the gym for you. I will say though that I see people on all ends of the spectrum in here, so its really up to you to make it what you want it to be. I highly recommend Planet Fitness to anyone, especially those looking for their first gym experience.

My Brother and I were using the beaverton facility till yesturday when my brothers wallet got stolen from his locker! I understand it is not their fault and also that they are not liable however I will never go back there because of the staffs and specially the managers reaction when we went to them and explained the situation. We got the worst reaction, I would be brief and just say that the manager was very rude and acused my brother of lying to them. We were in totall shock to the extend that we prefered not to get in an argument with him and left the place. We were not exppecting any compensation ,at that point our intent was only to let them know that it is not as safe in there as they would like it to be and to protect other customers whome apparently they dont care about!

I love the people that work at all the Planet Fitnesses however I dont like how the system is. I moved to another city and had to change my bank cause there wasnt one in the city I moved to. However when I went to the Planet Fitness close by where I moved to they couldnt help me cause they dont have access to make any changes to my account. So I called the Planet Fitness that I signed up with and they said I am not able to change it over the phone that I have to go in and take care of it. I really wish that they would sinc their systems so other people wouldnt have this problem. Oh and I couldnt update my payment information online either. Please fix this

The rate I joined for was $20 a month with no introductory fees. The only means of paying is with an actual account number. Which I feel stupid for even continuing. So $20 is paid upfront and implied from month to month for their top membership. Then the second month came and they charged me $59.00. When I tried to find out why, you have to call individual establishments and the person who answered the phone which was the manager said that was the charge for the year plus month to month. When I asked to cancel and get my money back. They flat out refused and require me to come in person to cancel.... though you can join online... So now Im out $59.00.

Good gym for a decent price. The finally switched the direction the pec deck is facing so you dont have to make uncomfortable eye contact with someone else using the machine across from it. Still annoyed by the occasional group of teenagers that seem to use the location as a place to hang out. Theyve started to disappear now that the summer is over and the days are starting to get shorter and wetter. The staff that works in the evenings and at night seem to do a great job of keeping the place clean. Urinals in the mens room always have two urinal cakes in them which is a good sign that they keep the place fresh and clean.

The gym itself is small, but good enough if you just need the basics and can go in the middle of the day when its not packed. They force you to come in to cancel your membership but dont mind signing you up over the phone. MAX BACA, who named himself as GM for the location, was pretty rude and unresponsive when I called. I was frustrated that an employee was acting that way and then when I found out he was the GM I couldnt help but laugh. If thats your GMs level of customer service capability than the whole place is screwed.

The staff is friendly and it doesnt give off that typical hard core gym vibe. Be aware of the freaking Anual fees and penalty fees for cancelling. They really screw you over with those and arent very up front about them when signing up. Each year it rolls over automatically without any communication that they will be charging you another $40 "annual fee" not including however much you already pay monthly. If I could give any constructive advice, it would be communicating these things with your freaking members!
