Let me start by saying that I have been an active member of AAA since the eighties. I own several vehicles and have always had a good experience with AAA until recently. As mentioned I have several vehicles and my 18 year old daughter was driving our Mazda Tribute and the transmission gave out while she was driving on the highway. She called me at my work terrified alone on the highway. Her location was an hour plus away from me. I told her to call the AAA and get it towed to the dealership where I would meet her. When she called the AAA person that answered told her , " your not a member " and it was going to cost you for the tow. She then called me frantic and alone on the highway. I then called AAA and asked them to get my daughter off of the highway and to a safe location and they wanted to argue with me for a half of an hour about the fact that she was not a member and she couldnt be towed and if I was driving the car it wouldnt be a problem. I was livid. My daughter was on a highway by herself !!!. They then told me that if I gave them a credit card for $16 that she could be added on our membership. Now that is a HORRIBLE way to do business. Shame on you and your practices. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and leaving an awful review on Google reviews. If this is how you retain your customers of 20+ years by going that extra mile ( especially in this economy ) then I hope you lose plenty of customers from this complaint. They "NEVER" said anything about adding my daughter or that she was not covered and what if it were my wife ??? she has a AAA card but it says my name on it. What has our society evolved into ? Absolutely pathetic customer service. I would like to know what I can do to escalate this complaint. Whenever I think of this incident it just infuriates me to no end. Please respond to this concern. I was a multiple business owner for 18 years and never experienced this lack of concern. Thank you for your time and consideration. William

This morning I tried to start my car to go to a very important meeting, My car responded with clicking sounds & a flashing dashboard clock! I called AAA. The customer service rep (sorry I didnt catch her name), was very pleasant & helpful (although she did get the year & model of my car wrong for the tech). I received texts, updating me as to the status of my call. Within the hour a very pleasant technician, Kyle (from Northwest Road Service), arrived at my door! After listening to my description of the problem & checking under the hood, he determined my battery terminals were loose & corroded! (This was particularly frustrating because my Jeep had been in for over $800 in repairs last week & the printout I received stated everything was working fine). A quick clean up then tightening & my Jeep was humming along nicely! Kyle stayed for a bit to be sure things were OK. He was very knowledgeable (he even let me watch while he worked...a neighbor came to observe too) & even noticed I had a screw imbedded in one of my tires (which I took care of right away before having to deal with a flat)! I was given a printout that showed the battery readings...very helpful! Thank-you Kyle & AAA. Interestingly I just renewed my AAA membership on the 1st! Money very well spent!

What crap I moved from California out here they never changed my membership over to a Northwest account. They left it as a California account which cant be because I dont use a California address so I dont really have an account they took my money never transferred my things over never sent me a new card and then when the time was up they cancelled my Triple-A Services premier Services Ive had for the last for 5 years. Not only did they take my money for a year and not provide a service they claim to provide to me thank God I didnt get stuck on the road but now here I am having to pay another start-up fee does to get Triple A again

Long time AAA member and Ive had to use the service a few times. Had a very poor experience and hope that poor reviews here will at least get responded to. My waterpump went out and drove my car to a safe(ish) location and called AAA for a tow. Since I was in Portland, and it was 6pm, I was expecting a bit of a wait but it took 6 calls and over FOUR HOURS before someone showed up. The driver was great (once he finally got to me) but waiting for 4 hours and 20 minutes is absolutely unacceptable level of service.

Free maps, whatever you need. Discounts at most hotels. Quick service to come and get me back into my vehicle when I lock my keys in; always ask if there is a child or pet inside and if I am safe. For free. Cracked windshield from gravel in the highway, free, quick window replacement. I know if I get a flat or break down or get stuck off-road and need a tow I am covered. If I run out of gas, no problem. Definitely worth membership fee for every driver in the family. They always check the membership card and id...

I wish it were possible to put zero stars. I went into the AAA building downtown Portland to ask to pick something up. The man sitting at the desk was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me. I couldnt even finish a sentence without him interrupting me and telling me I had no idea what I was talking about. No one there has a clue of what is going on. I would be embarrassed to work for such a disorganized company.

I have been a member of AAA since the early 1980s and have found them very easy to work with, offer great services and very personable, professional staff. But on Tuesday, when I locked my keys in my car with my purse and phone they went above and beyond! I no sooner hung up (someone let me borrow their phone) and turned around and the person was already there and within 3 minutes I was in my car!!! Wow!!!

Norm Burks was great to work with. He saved us $500 a year in home owners & vehicle insurance with more coverage than our lizardly insurance company. He was always very pleasant, professional, and personable. I will recommend him to anyone looking for insurance.

This review is only based on a single experience but they helped to straighten out some confusion around billing for our membership and then provided me with all the state maps needed for an upcoming road trip. Excellent customer service.

Got my international drivers license here as well as some travel supplies like a money belt and a mini-sewing kit. Everyone was extremely helpful! There is a parking lot for members so you dont have to park on the street.
