I had an extremely disappointing/frustrating experience with Kristina. I emailed her before scheduling to ask if she could achieve what I wanted (silvery hair) based on my current hair, find out cost, and the number of visits it would require. She responded saying she would love to do it and would likely be able to get me there in one visit (based on all the info I gave)and gave me a price. I agreed and set up a time. I was shocked at the end of my appointment when my hair was BLUE. She did not apologize or even act concerned. She commented that she loved it and would do this color on her own hair. Not what a client wants to hear when something this drastic happens. She then sent me home with a color remover and told me to let her know how it washes out. Well, it went bad. My hair was orange after using it. I told her I needed to come in and do something about it. She did another color remover and toned it, thats it. Thats what she considered "fixing it". When I asked her if another color appointment would be part of the first visit since she did not come even close to achieving what I asked but still took my money, she said no. She said, "it takes a lot of time and effort" so nothing will be free. So she thought it was appropriate to keep my money for making my hair worse than when I started. She also tried to claim my hair in the photo before seeing her is "so silver because you used Pravana silver" which is not true because I hadnt done anything to my hair in over 3 months. I used Pravana in the past but it washes out quickly. Certainly would not still be making a huge difference 3+ months later. My hair has the damage of someone being platinum but without actually achieving that color. She eventually agreed to refund me and apply the cost to another visit (meaning free like I asked initially). I agreed but she text me the morning of my appointment to cancel and refer me somewhere else. She never took responsibility for her mistakes or the damage she had done and then wanted someone else to fix it. The best part is she said she would mail me a check for the refund but surprise it never came! I had to drive downtown (from Hillsboro) to pick it up. When I reviewed it she spelled my name wrong and wrote the date as 3/16/2015... Needless to say I had her write a new one. Ive never experienced anything like this before and hope I never do again. I do not recommend anyone go to her not just because of the skill, or lack there of, but how she decided to handle the whole situation. I have been going to Kristina for years and she always gets my haircut right! I even made the mistake of going to a salon close to home once which ended in a horrible lopsided disaster, but after one visit to Kristina she made it so much better and I ended up loving the new haircut. She has taken my hair from short to long, blonde to red to brown and back to blonde. Very professional and an excellent listener.
