WOW! My wife and I were considering a move from Los Angeles to another Western state and we somehow found Marcus, and were glad we did! We told Marcus we likely wouldnt be moving until the end of 2014, or possibly 2015 - and, we said we didnt know where we may move to, but Portland was on our list. Marcus was incredibly responsive, sent us tons of info about Portland communities, food/wine, activities, schools, and anything else we asked for. We ended up flying up for a weekend and Marcus cut a family trip short to spend a Sunday afternoon with us showing us 10+ houses in different Portland neighborhoods. We loved what we saw, but after the trip, we again told him that a move likely wouldnt come for another 9-18 months. At that point Marcus fine-tuned our wish list and we ended up flying back up about a month later to view a few more houses. As you may have already guessed, we found our dream house and then sat down (on a Saturday) with a loan officer that Marcus recommended. After a few hours, we received the pre-approval letter and submitted the offer the next morning and it was accepted. He gave us great advice on the offer and helped us get what we ultimately wanted. BTW, the loan experience was also first class and very smooth. From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. We didnt know anyone in Portland, but Marcus made us feel at home and that Portland was the right call. I used to be in the real estate business, and we were dealing with true professionals who cared about us even though we told them we werent moving for a long time (if at all). Most agents might turn your back on you at that point, but Marcus really went out of his way to show off Portland and to make us feel at home. I highly recommend Marcus - youre in good hands if he represents you!

Marcus Brown is the consummate real estate professional. We interviewed several agents prior to moving to Portland and Marcus far and away out shined them all. He excels at all aspects of the real estate game and because of that, we felt we had an advantage over other buyers. I have worked with Marcus on three transactions over the past two years, and he is the only agent I will use in the future. I have worked with and interviewed several Realtors in the past and none come close to Marcus Brown. Marcus is patient and really listens to your needs. He is never pushy and doesnt try to "sell" you. He tries to figure out what youre looking for and focuses on the type of home that meets your needs. He also would let us know when we were visiting a home if he thought it wasnt right for us. He puts the buyers needs above all else. Not only did he do an excellent job in helping us find a house, he also did a amazing job of leading us through escrow, including suggesting non-standard inspections that he felt were important. Once our house was purchased he continued to help us get set up in Portland and still checks on us regularly even though our house closed over a month ago. If you are considering buying in Portland, I really think its a mistake to go with anyone besides Marcus.
