I moved to the area one year ago and was looking for a place that would help me achieve my fitness goals, help my Varsity athletes develop as strong confident women/competitors, and lastly feel welcomed and supported in a new social community. CFH has exceeded my expectations. Their coaching staff, expertise, members, individual coaching styles and management are exceptional. Its clean, organized, and provides a variety of class times and showers. I can get my workout in before anything else can pop up during the day with their 5:30AM class. I was impressed with their initial assessment of my mobility and how they addressed and strengthened my weaknesses (especially with squatting and kipping). I havent had any injuries in my time here, and feel appropriately challenged outside of my comfort zone with every workout. The coaching staff takes the time to learn about your personal goals while providing recommendations and encouragement along the way. They check in frequently. They are easily accessible! You are not just someone who goes to their gym. You are a valued client on a journey they take seriously. Having played and coached in college, I was looking for individual programming for my basketball players to develop strength, explosiveness, and mental toughness. CFH has provided training for my girls throughout one spring, fall, and two summers. Our players are currently on their fourth cycle. If you want to help your child or athletes develop as competitors and prevent injuries, this is the facility for you. There were many other gyms in the area that offered "team training", but what sold me on CFH was their coaching staff and how affordable it was for the families of my players. They evaluate the way my athletes move, make them feel supported and challenged at the same time, and program workouts tailored to what they need knowing when they need to peak. I have anywhere from 10-15 athletes consistently training twice a week and our basketball program knows CFH will help us when it matters in the 4th quarter of a game or when things get tough in life! None of our players have had any ACL injuries or season ending injuries. CFH also supports the local communities with fundraisers benefiting families in need, especially around the holidays. This is a community built on giving. Everyone here is grounded, humble, enthusiastic and positive!!! I have never had a CFH coach seem tired or moody. They give each class their all as if you are the only thing that matters for 75 minutes.

There is a saying from a famous strength coach that says, "if you run with the lame, you will develop a limp". Which means to me that we must surround ourselves with people that will strengthen and support, not only our day to day life, but our strength, fitness and nutritional endeavors as well! By joining crossfit Hershey I have done just that! When I joined a year ago I suffered from severe day to day back pain. At 28 years old I couldnt run, jump or even pick up 50lbs without pain and the worry of further injuring myself. Fast forward one year later, and not only can I run, jump and pickup more than my body weight! I can go through each day without debilitating pain! So by joining crossfit Hershey I feel as if I have put my self in a environment that enables me to "run with" people that not only strengthen my body and mind, but my nutritional needs as well! Adding in access to expert level nutritional coaching is the icing on the cake in my opinion! The nutrition program I experienced, coupled with expertly programmed crossfit classes, propelled me into a just shy of 20lbs loss and drop in multiple pant sizes! So in closing, do not put yourself in an environment that offers sub par training and pizza and cookie days! Put yourself in an environment that offers real life GAINZ and the ability to better yourself and your future!

I joined CFH about a year ago after playing 4 years of college field hockey. For the majority of those 4 years, I struggled with an over-use injury that limited my ability to play, which was the result of being narrowly focused on this one sport. I vowed to be more well-rounded in my fitness after college and wanted to rediscover the joy I had for working out pre-injury. I found this and so much more at CFH! From the very beginning, the coaches assess strengths and weaknesses in mobility, as well as truly teach you how to execute each movement properly. They constantly watch members to ensure safety and avoid injury, program wisely to vary up movements, offer safe scaling options to build growth, and emphasize the importance of flexibility, stability and recovery. This gym has so much to offer including olympic lifting classes, yoga, open gym time, nutrition counseling, and ways to get involved in the community. Most importantly, working out in the class setting with the wonderful group of coaches and members is invaluable. You will never regret showing up to a class and putting in the hard work with this group of people cheering you on. I have been injury free and truly enjoying working out again thanks to CFH.

My husband and I started at Crossfit Hershey in November 2010. They had just opened a few months prior. I had always considered myself a strong and athletic person. When I started Crossfit, I was definitely humbled. But the trainers worked closely with me and provided me the constant positive feedback I needed to not get down on myself and to continue pushing. They openly shared my excitement and pride when I improved and hit goal after goal. The programming is difficult, but there isnt programming like it, anywhere around. They also have SO MUCH equipment. Many of the other CF gyms Ive visited, equipment is a premium. The members of Crossfit Hershey are also a family. Social events take place regularly and Tim and Cait are constantly reaching out to everyone through social media to keep the lines of communication and accountability open. You can tell that this is their passion and not just a job. My husband and I moved away to Philadelphia and I almost didnt accept the job that took us there, because it would take me away from my Crossfit Hershey family. We still make the drive every couple of months to work out with the old crew. Top Quality facility, Top quality coaches and top quality members.

The majority of my life was dedicated to gymnastics (18 years). I trained at the Olympic Training Center and then after finishing high school I was recruited on scholarship to Penn State. I quit halfway through college due to school and gymnastics conflicting. Afterwards, I didnt know what else to do so I trained for marathons and hit the "globo" gyms. The regular gym was monotonous compared to gymnastics and running was not much better. Older friends who had retired from gymnastics kept trying to convince me to join CrossFit. After a year I eventually caved. I called, told my story, and asked if I could come check out the place. After my first class, I was hooked. I finally found something that was intricate and constantly changing like I was used to. Every day at CrossFit Hershey challenges me. I am very blessed to have picked such a great place as my first facility. As many athletes know, it is hard to find a place and coaches that you fit well with. Every single coach here is more than I could ask for and so are the other members. I am achieving a higher level of fitness that I never though I could have reached. Working out here is the highlight of my day and its like a home away from home.
