The customer service at this place sucks. First of all, they dont take appointments because, according to a staff person, they "have too much business to bother." So be prepared to have nowhere to park in the overflowing lot and get ready to wait 4-6 hours or more for service. Hard if you dont have 2 cars. I took my Honda Civic in for new brake pads in October 2007 and found I needed rotors and pads both. After replacing them, they continued to squeak terribly--with the NEW brakes-- until now (June 2008) so I took it back today to have them take another look. Turns out I need back shoe brakes...not sure why that wasnt an issue in October whatsoever...but anyway ended up giving them permission to do what needed to be done. I waited all afternoon and evening for them to call and let me know when I could come pick my car up, and finally tonight I called THEM to get a pick-up time (I had taken the bus back home hours before) and after 3 minutes of nobody picking up the phone, the man who finally answered said, "oh, that car is supposed to be picked up for tomorrow morning." It would have been nice of someone to tell me that-- they were already closed and everyone but him had left. Also, both times I have taken my car to this place-- the second time not expecting to need any additional service--I have been uncomfortable about their trustworthiness. Find a more honest, organized, customer-oriented place to fix your car.

Please Stay Away! Please read before going to this place. Two months ago I went to get my front passenger tire fixed due to a bad valve. The tires were replaced not so long ago so the tires had warranty. Surprisingly, they found a nail in the tire said that was not possible to be repaired. They charged 100+ for a brand new one and for "labor cost". Two weeks ago I got a flat tire again and checked the valve stem and it was still broken. Today I went to the shop and did not mentioned that I had a broken valve and checked the tire beforehand for any damage. Two hours later they called me back saying that the tire had a nail near the edge (same exact problem from the previous visit) and that the brand new tire had to be replaced. I went to the shop and as I moved the valve stem it was still broken and leaking air. The mechanic staff acted nervous and surprised when I told them that it was a shame that they did not find this in the first place and that they were doing a scam. Firestone, please be careful with this shop because if this continues, you are going to lose business in the future.

Terrible service. Do NOT recommend! I have come here a few times to get wheels and tires mounted and dismounted on my car because they are the only place close that will do it. Unfortunately, every time I go I swear I will never endure the experience I have with these people ever again. They are rude, lazy, and most of all SLOW! I drop my car off to get wheels and tires mounted and they say "OK come back at 6". I dropped my car off at 12!! really? 6 hours to do a 1 hour job. So I get there at 5:45 hoping that maybe they were able to get it done 15 minutes early.... The car was still parked where I had left it and they hadnt touched it. I think they close at around 7? I left around 7:45. That means I waited there for 2 hours for them to do this. Terrible Terrible Terrible. Unprofessional and I wish I could talk to a franchise manager about stepping up their game in the W. Philadelphia Area.

I wouldnt suggest going here for all your repairs, but I think the staff is knowledgable enough that if you need something done and youre in a pinch Id suggest checking them out. Much better experience than pep boys who messed up my car so many times. I had an inspection done, new brakes (thanks to the inspection), oil change, and tire rotation all done same day in 2 hours. Not bad at all. Just be sure to get there when they open, they get busy FAST like all shops in the city. Like all Firestone, Goodyear, Midas, Jiffy Lube type shops, they will try to sell you services that dont need to be done. Expect that going in there. But theyre cool with it and the guy told me straight up if he thought it was BS or needed. He really helped a bunch of people save some money while I was sitting in the waiting room.

Im gonna start with Im a new yorker who knows little to nothing about cars (and is it shows lol). I came in broke, confused, and fustrated while knowing i need three new tires. The front desk guy Ray was busy on the phone but still acknowledged my presents and began to assist me the second i walked up. He was very knowledgeable and patient with i tried my best to explain what it is i thought i needed. He not only got me the best deal on three new tired but accepted my online coupon right from my phone! This is my second time here and its a bit outta the way for me but its worth it because if Im spending my hard earned money i want good service! I recommend this location!

Rude, disgusting service. No customer service skills at all. Took car in for oil change two hours later my car is still parked where I left it. Three techs are in main waiting area sitting around talking and eating not doing nothing at all. The shop was not busy but my car still sat there. They were loudly discussing the fact that I was reading a comic book while waiting for my car.I got my keys back and left. I called customer services at the corporate office and filed a report against the ignorant counter men and techs. Was offered a free oil change but turned it down. They will never receive my business again

I made an appointment for 11am to get my oil changed and to see why my check engine light was on. I was told it would be an hour and a half for my oil change and if I wanted the diagnostics to be done on the engine it would be three hours. I did not want to wait three hours so I just asked for my oil change to be done. I didnt think I would have to wait an hour and a half considering Id made an appointment. 2 1/2 hours after arriving my car was still untouched so I asked for my keys. They were given to me without an apology for the ridiculous time. I understand that places like these get very busy but really!?

I used to have NO issues with this Firestone, but recently my preventative maintenance visit has become a horror story. Brought my car in to have a timing belt/water pump job done. They claimed defective parts caused the belt to jump during a test start-up, wrecked one of the valves. 5 months later (after they "repaired" the engine-- and it still doesnt run right. Idles rough, loses/fails to produce consistant power under full throttle......its just a mess. Oil changes or tires are okay for this place; but AVOID having major work done here if possible.
