I moved to the neighborhood a year and a half ago and found Incognito a block and a half away. My wife and I have taken both of our vehicles there throughout this period and weve been pleased with the work done and Daves willingness to explain car problems and find reasonable solutions. On the other hand, Ive been increasingly frustrated by the unreliable estimates on how long work will take, often accompanied by the excuse that guys didnt show up for work. Also, despite being asked for my phone number each time, Ive never received a call telling me when the vehicle is ready ( or for any other reason ). Most recently, I spoke with Dave on Monday and we agreed Id bring my vehicle in Wednesday, so I arranged to work from home that day. When I arrived Wednesday morning, however, I was told that he probably couldnt get to it that day, so I had to reschedule. That makes 5 visits for the same issue and Im thinking its time to find a new mechanic.

I am so moved at the kindness of these people. I have been going to this place off and on for a while. I used another place in Roxborough but it simply does not compare. I was down and out, pregnant, and alone at the time and these guys fixed my car and gave me the best deal that could be possible..... and still drove to to and from my home. I was so moved at their generosity that I cried. These people have always been honest with me, and friendly! Not all places are like this. If you need your car fixed in Mt. Airy this place has always gotten rave reviews from my friends, and now for sure from me. Thank you Incognito for being such a community asset. Bless you.

Urged by a couple happy customers in Mt. Airy to use Incognito, Im also pleased with their services. They are good troubleshooters, for one thing, having identified a couple issues that left another mechanic scratching his head and making bad guesses. Also, they are flexible with their schedule and Ive never had to wait days to bring in a car for an (overdue) inspection or to fix a problem that needed immediate attention. "Sure, bring it this afternoon or tomorrow morning -- no problem." Thats something a customer always likes to hear.

Dave that owns the Shop hes a good mechanic, As a woman he does not do unnecessary work on cars, (like other Car Shop does), He guarantees all his wrk, They R very nice, friendly & very proffesional.....The prices are reasonable to B a Shop on American Cars, They do everything here, Engines, Transmissions & all Emssions work !!!! They do fix Foreign Cars as well !!!! They will figure wht the promblem is wth ur car, Truck, Van etc......I hve brung all my cars here 4 many yrs !!! I dnt trust nobody on my vehicles but this shop !!!

Ive been going to Incognito auto repair for 5 years for inspections and repairs. Dave and his whole team are personable and friendly. The work gets done quickly and correctly. Hes never been late, and theres never been a delay. This is the kind of place where you can expect them to look out for you. As an example, my truck started pulling to one side. I brought it in and asked for new tires and an alignment. I got it back in 6 hours but without alignment. "You didnt need one" was the reply when I asked.

Honest work for a very reasonable price. I asked the mechanic to change my brakes which were squeaking. But after assessing the brakes, the mechanic said they were high quality so even though the brakes squeaked they had a lot of mileage left in them and he decided not to change them. On that day, I only paid for a bulb change and another minor fix. He could have done the expensive brake fix that I asked for, but instead he was trustworthy and had the customers best interest in mind.

Real old school garage: no techs in matching uniforms. Not always the best at remembering to call and tell you whats going on so plan on hitting them up frequently. That said, I wouldnt trust my my classic 60s vehicles (or new ones, actually) to these guys. Just remember to call them again...

For those of you who just cant find good quality mechanics, you have found paradise. I have 3 cars , 745i, x3 and lr3 and i must say they get cared and repaired right the 1st time. The best im Mt Airy, trust me, youll regret going anywhere else. Quinn and Natisha Smith

Excellent shop. Honest and fair. Prices are low. I have been getting my cars repaired by Incognito since 2006, and I always recommend Incognito to my friends. The building may not be attractive, but they do good work here.
