Brian and his staff are awesome. They always tell you what you actually need done and what can wait. They also have much better prices than anywhere else. They dont rake you over the coals with labor and really know their stuff. When I had to get my clutch replaced a couple of years ago, Brians price was HALF of any other quote I got. Since then, I dont even bother shopping around. Brian is always willing to talk to you and make sure you understand what is going on and will tell you what you need to pass inspection and what you can wait on if you dont want to fork up more money to fix everything at that time. Great, honest mechanic which is very very hard to find these days. I take both my wife and my car there now for everything without a second thought. Keep up the great work over there, even if/when I end up moving a little further away from this place I will still more than likely make a drive up here to give them the business. It is so nice to have a mechanic you can really trust. GREAT establishment!

After I had received an $850 quote from another garage for replacement of struts and springs, I went to Fountain Street Auto Service for a second opinion. I experienced impeccable service and kindness from the staff. As a female, it is nerve-wracking to bring your car to an unfamiliar garage because of the fear of being taken advantage of. However, that was not the case. Karl took a ride with me in my car, was very friendly and making small talk, and willing to help me in every way possible. Since, it was the one day that the car wasnt making the noise (just my luck) and I knew the noise was coming from the rear wheel, he took the rear wheel and drum off the car to look and inspect to make sure that everything looks as it should free of charge. I am very thankful for the service and the help that this garage has provided me, and would recommend it to anyone that I come in passing with. Excellent customer service, excellent knowledge, and excellent experience.

Fountain Street Auto is trustworthy, very reasonably priced (show your AAA card to save even more), and incredibly friendly. You can always count on Brian to call within a few hours of dropping off the car to diagnose the problem, including what it would cost and how long it would take to fix it, and he is very straight-forward about everything. He would even outline other problems for me to keep an eye on that could come up in the near future (i.e. your brakes are okay now, but you need to at least get the rear ones replaced in six months or so, and it will cost $__) - I drove a 1997 VW Cabrio, which needed a little extra love once in awhile. He was not trying to upsell me to drive his business but rather provided the service and honesty that I wish I could expect from every car shop. Even if it is a few miles out of your way, you will not regret your choice to go to Fountain Street.

Ive been going to Fountain Street Auto with my VW R32 for at least a few years now and thought it was time to give them a review! Brian and his team are incredibly honest and kind. I dont have to worry for one second that I may be getting something done to my car that isnt necessary. Theyll even tell you if they notice any potential upcoming problems without trying to up-sell you. They genuinely just want to give you a heads up so you dont suddenly realize, oh no, I need two new tires, brakes and rotors...I knew this months ago when I got an oil change and was aware they may not pass inspection so I could plan accordingly! Seriously the best...but the consistently full parking lot speaks for itself. Glad to have these guys right up the street!

Once youre pulled in Fountain Street Auto will not Acknowledge your long time patronage. After giving fountain street auto thousands of dollars worth of business they ripped me off for a thermometer for my coolant that was not needed. Instead of being courteous like they did when I first started going there they topped off their saws with a mandatory service fee just to test a part that actually worked ended up spending 220 dollars on a part and labor I didnt need, found a new mechanic two weeks later.

I can not speak highly enough about Brain and his staff at Fountain Street Auto. Everyone knows when it comes to mechanics and their shops its about honesty and fairness and fountain passes each with flying colors. They do tremendous work on cars and in a timely fashion. I recommend it to all my friends and anyone who asks. Never once have I felt taken advantage of or Up sold, and I know nothing about cars. Weve been fortunate to be going to Fountain Street Auto for about 15 years (since when they were a Getty station). They helped us make it through with really old cars and even gave us a great referral to buy a good used Honda. We have always had an excellent experience with this place. I think when dealing with mechanics its very similar to what I do with computer repair. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO TRUST. Being able to understand something that others do not, some choose to exploit this by overcharging or worse fabricate damages when their are none! In the end its greed and short sightedness. Brian and his team came HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. With regards to automobile repair and overall trustworthiness, this gent is an ace!

I had a great experience, my gf originally went up the street to Jiffy Lube to get her car inspected, but according to them it was "too late"(even though the guy that does the inspections was still there). Not only did they take care of me, but the price was cheaper and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time! They definitely have a customer in me, great job guys!

Took care of an inspection, oil change, and a brake issue in a few hrs. Only charged for the inspection and oil change bc the brake fix was easy to do! Staff is very easy going but friendly. They handle calls great. Only word of advice, call in a few hrs to check on the car. It might be done sooner than expected and they didnt call to let me know that it was finished.
