Took my car here for an oil change and an inspection. My car is basically brand new and had absolutely nothing wrong with it before taking it into their Ridge Ave location. I picked the car up and it would barely start. I didnt think much of it and figured it would be fine. The next morning, I went out to my car and it was completely dead. I had a friend jump my car and called Midas to let them know I was bringing it back. I got to the shop and the manager told me I would need to pay another $29.99 to test the battery. Really dude??? I said no and went back out to my car and it was dead again. Thankfully, Charles, the team member at the front desk was nice enough to send a guy out to do a simple battery test. They told me the battery had a bad cell and needed to be replaced. Went back in to see if they had the battery in stock/check the price. They wanted $307 for a new battery. No, I do not have a Maserati, I have a Ford. Went next door to AutoZone and got a brand new battery for $118. Please save yourself the time and money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. These people will try to rip you off any way they can and judging by other reviews, they break more things than they fix! This isnt even the full story... Im just sick of typing at this point. Midas---- You NEED a new manager at this location. If I treated any of my clients at my job the way I was treated at Midas I would have been fired long ago. I will never go here again.

Non-transparent in their pricing. Fiance was given a quote for the work that needed to be done that was not given in an itemized fashion, but rather a sum total of charges. When I took a closer look at the bill, I noticed an exorbitantly high price for her battery. We paid nearly $300 for a battery after labor. The battery retails for less than $120. When I questioned them about the costs, the regional manager never got back to me, and didnt return my calls or voicemail. Ideally Id say hopefully you have your own mechanic you know personally, and to avoid these jokers. if youre new in town, and you dont have this luxury, I would recommend the Pep Boys 2 miles up the road. Despite being a chain like Midas, theyve been good to me in the few times Ive brought my car to them. Just dont go to Midas, they will slam you. Its happened to me more than just this one time, and I wont let it happen to myself or anyone I know again.

The service that I received was terrible. The mechanics repaired the gear shift cable in my car and they did not have my vehicle ready in the time frame that I was first told. I was told it would be ready for pick up on Wednesday and it was not ready until Friday. The people that I spoke with on the phone including the manager were rude to me even before I picked up my car. THEN the day after I picked up my car my parking brake mysteriously stops working. When I called the shop to explain the situation the manager was really rude to me and claimed that they did not touch my parking brake. It worked literally the day before I brought it in. So I do not think it is a coincidence that it breaks the day after I get my car back. I will not be returning to this shop. They are unprofessional, rude, and untrustworthy.

If I could give 0 stars I would! My car was purchased 2 months ago and has had to be in the shop 3 times already because of issues. I brought my car to Midas for two of those times because I was referred by the dealer I bought my car from. The last time I needed a new water pump and an inspection! After I picked my car up my gascap light was blinking and my check engine light came on! Come to find out that they failed to put my transmission lines correctly in the car which then led to my transmission fluid leaking and me breaking down on the side of the highway during rush hour traffic! they also repaired my serpentine belt and fuel pump which will all have to be fixed AGAIN because of their negligence! I am now out hundreds of dollars and I will be calling corporate! This is unacceptable!

This Midas is a complete ripoff. I brought my truck there and they told me there was a hole in the muffler. I said replace it and when I showed up to get my truck I asked to see the muffler and they said they didnt have it. They gave me a discount after I spoke to the manager but it was some serious shady stuff. I have them the benefit of the doubt and a few months later I had them do my brakes. They told me I needed new calipers because my pads were wearing differently. I had them do it and it cost me a lot of money because of how large my truck is. 1500 miles later my brakes are shot Again and they want $900 to fix it. Take your business elsewhere.

Came for an oil change. Mechanic asked me if there was anything else I wanted him to check as well so I mentioned the brakes. They were honest with the brakes but noticed my hubs were a little loose. I mentioned I had another 2000 miles to drive in a week and they advised I get it done for peace of mind. I never once felt pressured to get something fixed that felt unnecessary. They told me the brakes should be fine which they couldve easily mislead me on. I was also on a time crunch and they more than exceeded my time limit. Thanks guys!

I went for an oil change with my VW Passat, and they didnt have a filter. They said theyd order it, so I came in 2 days later. When they changed my oil and did the courtesy check (as I waited 1:20), they didnt bother mentioning to me the 6 items that apparently needed immediate attention (check engine light, dangerously low fluid levels), because they dont bother to have "VW approved" fluids on site. So I had to go to another place the same day to get them to diagnose the check engine light problem and go over the routine maintenance issues.

I got a starter put into my car in July 2015 from this store. I just had to have it replaced again in November of 2016. When I called the store asking about the warranty of the part, all they could offer me was a free oil change. I wont go back to this store and would suggest anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy service to go elsewhere.

I went in for the $19.99 oil change and tire rotation combo, when I returned the next day to tell them that they forgot to rotate my tires they refused to perform the service and told me to come back the next day at 7:30 am. DO NOT GO HERE, horrible service and they cannot even perform the most basic of services without forgetting something.

Ive been going to this Midas location for a while now to do necessary maintenance on my truck. I wasnt feeling well and the personnel worker Tim arranged for me to be driven home. While I was home recuperating they did necessary maintenance and notified me when it was done. You dont see this type of service anymore. Thank you so much!
