Save your money. It was not the experience I was expecting. To sum up my visit: 1. They double booked my first reservation. So I went to the shop only having to be rebooked and turned away. 2. When I did get my hair cut the barber stunk of cigarette smoke. Clothes, breath, the whole bit. I guess it supposed to be part of the whole experience with being able to smoke cigars in the place but having a person talking to you at close range whose breath stinks like smoke isn’t a pleasant experience. 3. He chopped my sideburns off without asking. To the top of my ears. Not only did he chop them off they weren’t even close to being even. I was watching the TV the whole time and wasn’t paying attention. Otherwise I would have complained right there. 4. He then explained to me that I wasn’t allowed to write my tip on the credit card receipt. The “register was broken” and tips put on the credit card receipt weren’t paid to the barber. He did direct me to an ATM across the street so I could tip him in cash. Whatever. $35 bucks and a $10 tip = $45 haircut. Which if it was a good experience I wouldn’t mind paying. However I will not be back and will not refer any friends to this place.

Went to Shaving Grace on Main Street in Doylestown for the first time today. I previously had my haircut done at Great Clips. After having a few semi mediocre cuts there I figured that Id try an actual barbershop and not drive back to NJ where Im originally from. Due to the rain I didnt want to walk the half mile to Shaving Grace. When I checked in after being a few minutes late my barber, Garrett, introduced himself and got right to work. He asked what style I was going for? I told him and if it was possible to fix the hack job of a part haircut that I got a few weeks ago. Not only did he do a great job fixing the previously bad haircut the conversations we all had were funny. The whole staff was great! Garrett did a great job, is a cool dude and Ill definitely be going back to Garrett for my haircuts from now on! Thanks for also suggesting True Detective!

Great barbershop and great service! Booking online was easy and convenient. Immediately after making the appointment I received a text message confirming that everything went smoothly. Looks alone, the place has class. Roomy layout. High ceilings. Leather furniture. The works! I was greeted with a smile and offered a beverage while I wait. I accepted a coffee as it was greatly appreciated. I asked for directions to a restroom and upon getting back into the lounge area my coffee was there waiting for me. And not in some foam cup, but a coffee cup you might have in your house. Just a nice touch that adds to the atmosphere. The gentleman that gave me my shave and cut was friendly and went over all the details (this was my first straight shave). Hot and cold towels were not a surprise and he made sure I was comfortable. I will definitely be coming back!

I went in unscheduled to get a haircut and if there was time a hot shave... The friendly girl at the desk booked me in and offered me something to drink (which i took a beer) while I waited, very nice. They have this great "living room" style waiting area with comfortable leather couches and free wifi for my iPad. In a few minutes in was called up and the experience was great. The atmosphere is very upscale and the attention to detail shown by the barber Leo was exceptional. Dont let price divert you from coming here. If you want a great shave and cut come here... I am now gonna be a regular. Big TVs,pool table, darts, stacks of great reading, comfortable.... I would come here to hang out let alone get a haircut.... Awesome

Substandard barbering skills unfortunately complemented by regrettable customer service. Booked an appointment for haircut and top shelf shave -- the Shaving Grace. Barber did not perform full set of services included with the Shaving Grace. Drew a bit of blood during the shave, which is a strong indicator that this individual had not even reached journeyman status when it came to their trade. He did not even bother to warn me -- nor did his colleague with whom I settled the bill. I walked out on to Main Street w blood still on my face. Perhaps mine was an exceptional experience at an otherwise professional establishment. I highly doubt it.

I got my husband a gift card for shaving grace in Doylestown. He is a hard working, great guy and I thought the experience would be wonderful for him since he rarely does anything for himself. Well, it was awful. The guy he had was miserable and unfriendly. He gave my husband, who has a close beard, a VERY close shave which was uneven and left his face red and blotchy. He has half the amount left on the gift card and I doubt he will go back. To be fair, this experience was over a year ago. I have always meant to write a review, or contact the shop, but never got to it.

I called in advance and made an appointment for 1pm. I showed up at exactly 12:59 and was asked to take a seat and wait until my barber was ready. At about 1:05pm I watched another guy walk in, clearly late, and sit down for my appointment. I walked up to the front desk and was informed that my barber was "running a little behind". No, actually my appointment was just taken right in front of my face. Needless to say I will not be coming back here.

Brought my son to get his first haircut at Shaving Grace at 5:45pm The sign specifically states they are open to 8 pm and the front desk advised me that even though there was a barber there cutting hair the barber who stays to 8 was sick so they were closing two hours early!?!? How long could it possible take to cut a 12 year olds hair. Bad business. But that is what happens when you have an 18 run your front desk. I wont go back.

I am a semi-regular customer who has been to Shaving Grace 7-10 times over the past 2 years. This is my go-to spot for getting my hair cut. The quality, amenities and staff make this shop worth every penny. Yes the price is more expensive than going to a Super Cuts but you get what you pay for. "Good work aint cheap. Excellent service. Brought my daughter in to fix undercut that was done elsewhere. James not only took the time to listen to what was wanted, he also did a meticulous job and the end result was not only fixed, it was shaped and buzzed to perfection. Awesome service. James is a top notch Barber.
