I love my gym. Ive been a member for over 9 years and I appreciate that there are people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and fitness levels and its a judgement free zone. The fitness trainers, led by Luis, take the time to help you map out your fitness goals and make helpful suggestions for your individual needs. There are so many classes to choose from: spin, yoga, body works, zumba, water aerobics and more. There are free weights, weight stations, elliptical machines, stair masters, bikes, and treadmills available. They also have a basketball court and large room used for formal classes with punching bags you can use in between classes. All of the trainers are great to talk to and "pick" their brains for more information about correctly using the equipment and they ensure your safety. The locker rooms are spacious, with plenty of room to store your "stuff". The pool is nice and they have a sauna and a Jacuzzi. They keep the place clean, they are constantly cleaning. Finally, they have a cool "mini" gym area for the kiddos with really nice staff to ease your mind about leaving your babies while you work out! Their prices are comparable to other locations and you can add on "guest privileges" that allows you to bring in friends and family members for only $20/month to work out together. I recommend you come and check it out - you might find that you enjoy it!

I was going to walk in just to ask about their classes before joining. After work, I walk in and the lady at the front desk is looking down while waving at people to give her their keychains to scan in for whatever reason. So I am standing there, she continues to look down, and snaps and waves her hand, so I turn to the guy behind me who was obviously already a member and tell him to go ahead. Before he could, the lady looks up and says in a very obnoxious and impatient tone "Somebody come up." So the guy behind me gets his card swiped and I just laugh and turn around and walk out. I am not a dog and do nott respond to snapping and waving and will never step foot in there again. I do not know what I was thinking in the first place. What a great way to lose business. I wish I could give zero stars. Ive heard they also do not have a pool.

So, I can get past the old and dated equipment. I can even get past the lack of free weights. But there is one experience I cant get past. I was working out with my fiancée, trying to get ready for our upcoming nuptials, and in LA Fitness employee pulls me over to side and accuses me of "training under the table". With just one or two questions they could have easily found out that we were a couple, engaged to each other, and working on our fitness for upcoming marriage. After 45 minutes of discussion, they eventually apologized but at that point we have already used up all of our time for the workout and were far too heated to continue. What bothers me the most about this exchange is that it was the first time that an LA Fitness employee at this location actually spoke to me.

Dont do it. I did a student membership and they told me that I had to cancel by the end of the week. Then when I went to go cancel that I was told that, that was wrong and I just had to cancel it at the end of the month before I wanted to end it. I then got charged 40 for a month that I didnt want. I called them to get my money back and the person was out of the office and I was assured they would call me back and that I would get my money back. I never got a call back from then and when trying to call again all they told me was about cancelling my account. I even tried getting the money get from my credit card company and I got it back at first but then I ended up being charged again. Its ridiculous that they messed up and I am forced to pay them more.

GROSS/unhealthy locker rooms ! There are some nice LA Fitness facilities in the MonCo area, but the East Norriton gym is not one of them. The cardio equipment is frequently broken. The free weights are always a mess. If you want a pair of barbells under 50#, good luck finding them, they wont be in the marked spot. Partly because the members are too dumb to put them back in the right spot, they hog them, and the staff doesnt keep the place organized. The biggest complaint though is the mens locker room: Its just gross. It has smelled like rotting flesh for over a year, and is only getting worse. Theres no indication it will ever be cleaned, and the mold/mildew causing the smell is undoubtedly very unhealthy.

Ive been a member for only about a month and I have had a great experience so far. The GM was helpful and informative when I was deciding if I wanted to join. The only issue was trying to schedule my free training session - there was some confusion and the trainer was not there when I arrived for my appointment. Other than that, I have had an overall good experience. The staff are helpful and are there to answer any questions about equipment. They have a nice pool, large locker room, and a great class schedule. I am glad I joined when I did!

Horrible Experience. Buyer beware - I used to work near this gym, and no longer have for more than 2 years. Cancellation was a nightmare; they refused to cancel without it being in person or with a signed form which was mysteriously misplaced - over a year ago. Finally got it canceled without having to go there but I couldnt get any kind of refund from them. I will make sure to take my business to places with better business ethics in the future.

Very friendly staff, good-sized locker room, and a good amount of equipment. Theres a nice calisthenics section in the center, which is nice to have, and more than enough machines for anything you want to do. They do have a studio with punching bags, which I appreciate, but unfortunately they arent accessible when a class is going on. The classes are included in membership, though, which is quite nice. They also have a pool!

LA Fitness is a scam job. I have sent in letters to the headquarters twice to resign my membership and it never was processed despite them telling me it would not be a problem. They treat people like widgets. Why does someone have to go into LA Fitness in order to resign. Cant do it over the phone? Simple, they want to upsell you and continue to sell you. This place is a scam job. Really? What bullshit!

I had been an LA fitness member for years and kept on getting more and more disappointed as my membership went on. I am no longer a member because even after their update, the machines were still outdated and inconsistent (if not, broken), I didnt feel the classes they had left were challenging enough, the locker room was often dirty, and I felt as though the staff was rude and/or disconnected.
