I moved to Plymouth meeting area in January and was looking for a cross fit. I found CrossFit MontCo, and straight away called them to see the availability. My request was considered immediately and I joined the next day. I went in the for my demo. Dave introduced us with the workouts and the coaches. The coaches are just awesome as they get. I will start with Kristin: Kristins coaching technique is unique. She wants every crossfitter to surprise themselves everyday. She is very informative, very committed and inspiring. (INSPIRING because: she was a 9 month pregnant and was doing a bottom squat better than any crossfitter on that day. After giving birth to baby, she came back to workout probably after 1 week and started working out. Who will not be inspired in this world after seeing this?) Lauren: Is probably one of the coolest coaches, she understands individual requirement of every person in the group, scales the workout to fit the requirement of every person. Working out while she coaches feels like you are not working out at all, but at the end of they day, you work out the most. Brooks: Coach Brooks is a very fit athlete himself. He is a very good crossfitter who works on his form first and then coaches to other crossfitters about the form. Funny guy. Mantra for Brooks: Form is everything. Christina: Christina is very cool and understands individual problems of crossfitters and suggest workouts according to their comfort. If you have a problem and unable to perform a workout, she is ready to help scaling it, or completely replacing it with a different workout, but workout on same muscles. Very fit athlete, very well knowledge on the workouts, has a lot of information about food, diets, and can suggest on any topic in this world. :P Rob: Coach rob is the fittest person in the crossfit I feel. Very calm person with good understanding of workouts and scales. The best part is the way schedule is made. If I attend the 6 PM class every day, I do not see the same workout on same day with same coach. There are many crossfitters in this crossfit who are as awesome as the coaches. Rach, Lauren Fox, Scott, Sam, Katie, Damien, Todd, Brain, Meg, Amy, Chris, Misti, Jen and the list goes on. Thank you CFMC for making me a stronger person mentally and physically.

This gym! I have been a member of gyms most of my adult life, even signed up for a personal trainer. I looked into joining this gym before, but was so intimidated because…well…it’s crossfit…and I’ve seen the videos of those people lifting insane amounts of weight, and performing crazy workouts! I mean, I couldn’t do all that, AND have people watching me. Then, May 2016, I decided – all those gyms, personal trainers, diets…it’s not working. Why not try that gym up the road, what do I have to lose? The day I walked in for the On Ramp, man, I was so intimidated. There were those athletes lifting weights and doing the workouts. Then I did the On Ramp with Coach Kristin. It was with a nice group of other newbies (including my fiancé). They had great music blasting over the speakers, we learned all these techniques and workout moves. Two hours later, I was hooked! I worked hard, and I loved it. Then the next day came around, and I learned that there was muscle (in excruciating pain) under all that fat! Couldn’t walk for about two days, but it didn’t stop me from going back. Nine months later, I have moved up from lifting a PVC pipe to actual weights! My cardio, a little better, and I am so much stronger than I was before. I even participated in the CrossFit Open! Why I’m better at this than before is not only because I go, but I go because of the people, the community, the coaches. Everybody there wants you to do and be better. And that encourages and pushes me. People I didn’t know would come up to me and explain about correct techniques, and help me correct my form. Or, they would cheer me on if I was close to finishing before the time. And these strangers, they become friends – and the community grows! Walking into CrossFit Montco was one of the best decisions I have ever made. When I think about it now, I can’t believe I was so intimidated – they are the most welcoming group of people I have ever met. I was not an athlete, I was not a weightlifter, I did not look forward to working out. I can’t say that anymore, and have CFMC to thank. So glad that I walked in their door!

When I moved to PA i looked at appx 7 different Crossfit"boxes" (gyms) within 30mins drive of my home. I crossfit for 2yrs before moving so I knew what i wanted; an open, accepting environment, a knowledgable team of instructors, a group of members that were diverse in skill level, supportive of each other and goal driven. Lastly, I wanted a box where there was a true sense of community. I found exactly what I wanted at CFMC. The coaches are great. Theyre there to provide formal instruction and real-time feedback that help you make great gains and achieve your goals. The members are very supportive of each other and fun, while still maintaining focus on working hard. The coaches/owners are also open to member feedback. They want their members to be happy to work out here. Ive heard of other Crossfit gyms that cater to their "elite" athletes, ignoring their members who are new, intermediate or just not interested in Crossfit competitions outside the gym. That is not the case here. I feel everyone is treated the same - with respect.

I started working out at this facility 3 months ago and I have been consistently going 5 days a week. I honestly cant get enough of it. The coaches are personable and focus on proper form and safety. If you think CrossFit is too difficult that is not the case. Each work out and movement can be modified for any level! The atmosophere during every work out is supportive and encouraging. I cant say enough good things about the programming. Every work out is planned from start to finish for each hour class. The work outs are varied each day and never boring. If you are looking for a fun and exciting place to exercise that offers amazing results, you have to give this CrossFit box just one hour of your time. You will never look back and continue coming back for more!!

I must say I was apprehensive at first to try CrossFit, but now Im hooked..all thanks to CrossFit Montco!! The atmosphere at CrossFit Montco is unlike any gym Ive ever been to. The coaches are not only knowledgeable, but they are also friendly and attentive. I could feel the changes in my body within the first week of visiting. I highly recommend CrossFit Montco to anyone interested in changing themselves for the better...experienced or not. Be afraid no longer...! Thank You CrossFit Montco!!

The community of CrossFit MontCo is unlike any other gym I have been to. The members as well as the coaches are so supportive of each other and they are a community of passionate, dedicated people. The coaches are truly interested in your success, focusing on proper form and safety with every movement. The programming is outstanding in fitness and strength training and pushes you to achieve your full potential.
