I bought a 6 month physical training package in May and my experience has been sub par. The trainer that sold me, Matt, is a salesman first and a trainer 2nd. When I was being sold I was told that my workouts would be written out for me between each session and Id have 2 sessions a month. So far nothing is written out prior, he always has to look for my training book, he is hard to track down and the sessions do not seem to follow any type of plan although he claims he has my plan in his head. You are supposed to get reminder e-mails before each session but I only got 2 since I have been there which tells me he isnt even putting my name down in the schedule. It is not worth the price I paid considering I can find out everything online or learn more from my friends when I come with them. I really hope after the 6 months I can cancel easily. I do not recommend gettting "personal" training at LA Fitness Easton bc it is far from personal and hard as heck to get any type of routine or program going. Seriously, it is their job to follow through with what they say but joining becomes a job when you have to hound your trainer for workouts... if you can find him while you are there.

This facility has a "put a bandage on a problem, rather than fix the underlying issue" kind of mentality. The bathroom/locker room is disgusting, which up until a few months ago it was carpeted with the nastiest carpet known to man. The showers are rusty, grout is black with grime, and I wouldnt be surprised if there was mold (bleach is cheap!). The sauna generally has a pungent smell that I can only liken to that of a wet dog, and usually has trash from lazy members. Speaking of trash, locker room trash is always overflowing. Spa is constantly broken (I wouldnt use it anyway because of sanitation concerns). Water fountains suck, but dont worry if you want to purchase a water bottle the vending machine is most likely out of order. Employees are nice, however they generally seem like they dont care about the facility, just collecting a paycheck. The equipment is nothing to write home about...ultimately if a new gym opened with comparable(less disgusting amenities) this gym would collapse in on itself like a dying star

Its a good gym. Has issues tho. The need to get rid of the basketball court for obvious reasons. Most people who come to play basketball have no memberships. Today someone refused to have there picture taken, he showed his borrowed cell phone pass, when the worker asked to have his picture taken, he said he didnt feel like it, and just walked in. As for me, if I dont have my picture on file Im not allowed in. Didnt seem to work for this aspiring NBA player. Bathrooms are dirty. Sauna is filthy, from used water bottles, food wrappers, and a floor covered in dirt and hair. For the others that come to actually workout, well theres no issue. The real members are all respectful, courteous, and take pride in their gym. More pride then most employees. Employees seem to think they can park where ever they want, between handicap spots, double park, just overall no dignity. Local teens dirty up the place, leaving their filth, and have no respect, not even for themselves.

I had a horrible experience trying to cancel my membership. I went there several times and they said that they were going to cancel it in the computer, but every month I received the charge in my card, then after I was so upset the manager said that there were no proof of my requirement to cancel it, so I had to loose that money. He also said that I needed to mail the form to their main center and I did it and more than one month later I still being charged for that, even if I changed my credit card. I called them and they want me to call their main center and their main center wants proof of my requirement, fortunately I mailed certified, but they need to process the proof and I do not know how long it is going to take. This time I have the proof, but anyway I lost my money because they never told me what I needed to do.

I have been to a number of fitness clubs in the area, a few other LA Fitness clubs in the east and a few other chains down south. After visiting them all, I can tell you that the Easton LAF is the best I have been to overall. The staff mostly consists of idiots and the trainers are all obnoxious and unskilled. However, the selection of equipment is good and the clientele is pretty decent as well. Most people just do their own thing and remain courteous. The repair crew is non-existent however. Stall #2 in the bathroom has been missing a lock since October 2008. Many of the cable machines break weekly and remain broken or break again shortly thereafter. Still, I have seen what else is out there and it makes this LAF seem pretty good.

LA Fitness only cares about money. Those who work the front desk are very miserable, they never have a smile on their face. The trainers will bother you during workouts to enforce their workouts in hopes for you to waste even more money than you already are wasting on a monthly basis. This is one of the of more expensive gyms in the Lehigh Valley and they dont offer wifi, even though streaming music is at an all time high, you wont be able to enjoy your music during your workouts. I paid in full until July of 2016, and they are refusing to give me my money back, they said I would only be allowed to cancel my membership but I will not be allowed to receive any money back. I highly suggest avoiding this gym at all cost.

Overall its an average gym. The pros would be a friendly atmosphere with great zumba and bicycle classes provided and overall good variety in equipment. Cons would be the price its a bit expensive to what they offer if you are charging customers $25-$30 monthly plus the $90 initiation fee they should offer tournaments with prizes plus WIFI!! what type of business in this era does not offer WiFi its cheap to get plus a very good marketing tool to attract customers. This gym I highly recommend to people who are serious in working out, have kids, and love the perks of having clean sauna and bathrooms. 3 stars for an average gym that will satisfy your work out needs

Great amenities, staff, environment! This LA Fitness has a lot to offer, multiple spin classes, diff assorment of group fitness classes, and the trainers actually DO know what they are doing. Usually you can always find open equipment, may have to wait during peak hours just like you would with any other gym. The gym has a great cleaning crew that has been put together, and everyone is very friendly. I also belong to another gym as a trainer, but prefer to work out here due to the environment and amenities available. The pool is always open and the gym is open except when designated for certain sports.

Ive been going to this gym about two months now. I love the variety of exercise equipment and the kids club hours are great. Most members are respectful and friendly and the staff members are great. However, since Ive started going to this gym, it seems that the showers have never been cleaned. The shower curtains need to be changed and there is visible mold and rust in the showers. Absolutely disgusting. I would recommend bringing slippers in the shower and a bottle of bleach spray....or just shower at home. This could be a five star rating if it wasnt for the icky showers.
