Great staff, a little awkward equipment arrangement, & uncomfortable and potentially dangerous group exercise room. Staff has always been nice, friendly, and helpful - and that gets most of my positive ratings. Exercise machines are little too close, and could use better organization (there is not enough space to organize it better though). Quite often, Bumper Plate/Kettlebell area is closed off for group exercises. Its hard to gauge when it may be available even with the posted schedule (same group exercise may/may not use the area) The group exercise room is small and equipment stored in the room makes it less useful for classes. A/C doesnt keep it cool when its hot, and condensation makes the floor dangerously slippery when its cold. At the lower price point and good people, I still recommend the place. Make sure to consider the above issues before you sign the agreement though.

This gym is great! They have all the equipment needed to loose weight and tone up. The price is great.. The staff is just okay. The people that go here are always so willing to teach you how to use something new. The bathrooms are clean. Overall is great the only issue I encounter was when we switch from a non-chip card to a chip card. We gave the new info ahead of time so it could be switch and mine was taken out just fine but my husband wasnt. When we went we had to pay and extra fee for being late (which we werent since that info was giving ahead of time, not our fault the staff didnt put it thru) and some bank late fee. If it wasnt because this is the closest gym that has good perks we would have walked out. They didnt offer to waive it even though we are always on time so that made me angry a bit.. payed over $40 in extra fees

I really have to call bullcrap on the two negative reviews for this place. For one, outside of an occasional errant water bottle, this is one of the cleanest gyms I have ever used. To say that it smells bad is just ridiculous. As far as the collection agency is concerned, if you sign a contract for 12 months you owe for 12 months. That is part of the reason they have such low monthly fees, with no upfront costs I might add. Halfway thru my first year contract I was deployed to Afghanistan. They had no problem freezing my membership and allowing me to restart upon completion of my tour. Bottom line is this is a GREAT gym with a friendly helpful staff, ample parking, and great after workout drink offerings. I would recommend this place without reservation.

Ive been going here 3 times weekly for 3 months now and really like this gym. I like the layout and equipment better than the one in Bethlehem even though that one is only 5 minutes from my house. Also enjoy the movie theatre although I never get to watch an entire movie. Initially I signed up with a trainer and was so glad I did. The trainer was always prompt, very encouraging and very helpful. Staff has always been friendly and the gym is clean. I signed a contract for $19.99 a month for one year. Bottom line is if you cant commit to using the gym for a year then dont sign a yearly contract.

Been with the Gym since April 09. I love the facility, the locker room is great. The staff is great and the price is wonderful. Just beware of signing up with a trainer. Very expensive and barely keep appointments. Never available to make up missed sessions and was a waist of money and time. If you do it only sign up for a few months and see if you enjoy it first. Otherwise I love Retro! To the previous comment, every gym smells like a gym; however it is not that bad and doesnt warrant cancelling at all.

Love the gym and the original crew. They need to work on some of the new staff. Not all, but some. Members are loud and sometimes very obnoxious. My headphones on full blast volume does not even keep me from hearing them. Same with the classes. Music is obnoxiously Loud!! And they go in and out during class, sometimes even holding the door open.Most people just have lack of consideration for other members. It make it annoying and distracting when all you want to do is work out.

Terrible customer service. Manager is never at there when you call. Staff I very unorganized. I had to call at least 5 tie and visit there twice before I received a call back from the manager. When every single time I went in I was told I would receive a call the next day. The gym has good machines, not the best but better than average. But the customer service doesnt make it worth it when trying to do anything related to freezing you account or canceling.

SCAM!!! I have now paid for my year that I couldn't cancel and now they say I have to provide a 60 day written cancellation and pay during that time too!!! ARe you kidding me?? What money hungry jerks! I haven't even used the Membership since after the second month. It smells so bad, they don't turn any air on, the tanning booth is DISGUSTING and would not pass a department of health survey! Gross! Do not waste your money!

I cancelled my membership through a letter like required and money is still coming out of my account. Not to mention I cancelled auto withdrawal and they continue to automatically withdraw money from my account. I cant reach customer services due to their hours with my work schedule. Head everyones warning and do not join Retro Fitness you literally cannot cancel your membership.

Ok gym but damn they only care about money they make it nearly impossible to cancel, 20 dollars a month fees not counting 40 dollars every August for maintenance fees yeah Im supposed to pay to fix your equipment. Late payment for whatever reason even if its their error add an extra 20 dollars for a total of 40 for month just go to LA fitness 29 instead of 20 but NO HEADACHE

Best gym Ive ever been too in 35 years of serious working out. Clean and plenty of staff in the floor. All the people complaining about cancellation fees, too bad for you obviously your weekend warriors in the gym scene. Seriously only $20 monthly to workout is a deal of the century. Keep up the good work.

The equipment is good, the place is alright, the price is decent, but the hours are where I have my issue. Theyre a little backwards, all week they open at 5 am, then close at like 10 pm, but on Fridays they close early and the weekends they dont open till 7 am. Why not open at 5 am on the weekend too?

Everything in the gym is broken. Water fountains & specific equipment has been broken for weeks now. Why have a suggestion box if you read the suggestions and dont act on them? Funny how all these things are broken, yet they didnt forget to take out our 60 dollar " fee " for the year on August 1st.

It looks as if Im stuck with paying for a trainer that I didnt even schedule with yet. Supposedly you can only cancel that within the first three days and no one informed me of this at the time of signing up. I will definetely be contacting corporate.
