Let me preface this review with two things: 1) I like the USPS carriers that deliver. They are nice, kind, and always on time. 2) This is specifically for the Ephrata PA post office building, the front counter workers. I have a business in Ephrata, and about twice a month, for some reason, a package is un-deliverable to me, so I get that beautiful orange slip that says come pick it up from us tomorrow. Although its annoying, thats not my problem. Its the service inside the post office. Not ONE single time have I ever seen more than one person working the front register. Almost every single time I go in, there are more than 4, if not 8 or 10 people in line. Sometimes I honestly just have to walk out and try another day, because the line is so long, its taking so long, and for some reason, they cant call someone else. The ONLY time I ever go in is to pick up a package. There should be some sort of a line, some sort of a quick pickup thing. I dont want to wait 15 minutes in line to pick up a package that should have been delivered yesterday. The employees are not friendly. I dont expect much because they work for the government, but they theyre simply, at best, OK. I will end this review with an experience from my brother. He ordered some comic books online. The person shipped via Media Mail. Apparently this is a no-go, and comic books should be shipped some other way. Thats fine and all, but has NOTHING to do with the person PICKING IT UP. He went in to pick up the package. First of all, the post office charged him the difference that it would have cost to send it priority mail instead of media mail. This is... somewhat understandable, but should be picked up by the SENDER. The part that blew both our minds is that the lady working (this particular incident was at the Denver PA post office) pulled out a little slip that said what was allowed to be sent Media Mail, and essentially made him read it out loud, and highlight the part that says no comic books We are NOT 8 years old, and we were NOT the senders. We did NOT send the comic books, we were just picking them up. To be treated like an 8 year old is beyond anything I can imagine. I dislike almost everything about USPS, except the carriers.

This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with! If I could.. I would rate no stars! I had a package to ship. But was out of tape. I figured, no big deal. I will put it on at post office.when I got ther and stood in line and waited for about 20mins! It was finally my turn. when I asked the lady if she could put some tape on it for me.... I got the dirtiest look!! as if I was crazy. then was told we dont do that!! come on. cant even put tape on my pakage?? my buddy that was shipping to me that day. I told him about it. and he told me that his post office helped package his and put tape on!! I could not believe it!! This post office is so rude! also should have mire than one person working behind counter when so busy. Not everyone has that much time, or patience! This place really needs to get a grip!

WHY are all my penndot documents being forward to somebody that has the last name as my maiden name in MN?! They should not be forwarding any kind of mail from PENNDOT. it has been about 1 year and a half since theyve moved out. I had to repay for my registration and now my license renewal?! Times are rough. I dont have the money to pay again and again!! I have two toddlers and a sick husband that is unable to work. Im the only income. We are very limited. This is very stressful!! we still use the postal mail quite some, as a matter of fact, we support them. This just makes me wanna turn the other cheek. errgg!

Sent an envelop from this Post Office to Trexlertown Pa ( aprox. 40 miles away )and it hasnt arrived for 3 days. Why???? Now I know why the Post office is losing money. You cant even mail a letter without it getting lost. These where important papers also .

I would rather go to the dentist and get a tooth pulled without novacaine than deal with the miserable, worthless, people who work the front desk.

Easy to access the building, they have a handicapped ramp for wheelchairs. There is usually a wait when you go in as it seems understaffed.

HUGE post office. Nice and neat most of the time. Parking is a joke, though.
