Horrible service, no communication between employees and to the customer. i called on a friday at 10 am looking for tires, state inspection and a alignment. manager told me to bring the car down at noon and he could have all those services done and even give me a discount since they offered buy 3 get the fourth free. i drop the car off at noon, come back to the store at 3:30 to be told that they did not do one single thing to the car and that id have to reschedule. we agreed that i will drop my car off the following monday at 7am and my car will be first car worked on and will be ready by 330. i get a call at 2:30 asking where the registration and insurance info is, i have it in my jacket pocket so i had to fax it over . i was told they just needed that to put the stickers on. so i said ok it will be ready at 330 then. no not ready they havent even pulled the car in yet to do one thing! could nt tell me a time when i could expect it to be done. i show up at 4 car is nowhere to be done, cant give me a time. i wait about a hour for them to tell me the ball joint is bad and wont pass and that they dont have the part and that it wouldnt be till wednesday that it would be in. mad that if they would have looked at my car at 7am this morning and not 3pm. i said i will get the part myself and replace it, i just want my car! they couldnt give me my car caause the tires were not eve put on yet!!! now im more mad because this could have been figured out this morning and not 530 pm! so finally my car is ready. i was told everything to be done on my car, 4 tires, sate inspection/emissions and alignment was $909.00 that is what the service manager told me on friday, he was not there monday so i was told this is the price not including the alignment then the tech standing next to her tells her she heard the manager say to me on the phone they could do everything for that price. girl tells me the best she can do is when i come back that they can give a alignment for $50 instead of the $80. even though this is not what the manager told me on friday even with their tech as a witness. would be less irritated with the whole situation if the would have the customer service to at least give me a call and let me know they cant honor the time or prices they told me.

WORSE PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i took my 2008 buick lacrosse to them because it died in the parking lot next to them....well push comes to shove 900 dollars later i drive my car for 1 week and it DIES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This time I had a dealer look at it and they said TAKE IT BACK TO PEP BOYS! ITS THEIR ERROR...well the gentleman at the dealership contacted pep boys for us and pepboys decided to refund 356 dollars by this point with all the frustration i accepted it because i just needed my car back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well once the error was supposedly corrected all of a sudden you turn the key and turn the ignition and it would delay.well i called them back they said bring it in i had a manager look at it and of course it doesnt do it for him and he smirked at us and said well its not doing it now! ever since I allowed them to work on my car 11 months ago I have nothing but issue after issue! well close to 4k later guess what??? again my car died while I WAS IN ANOTHER STATE WITH MY 2 YOUNGEST CHILDREN!!! i took it to the dealership and they said it was the initial code that lead me to take it to Pep boys in the first place!!!!!! Well lets add another 500 to the 4k Pep boys supposedly fixed my car so i picked it up today AND GUESS WHAT!? NOW THE DAMN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST PICKED THE CAR UP DROVE IT LESS THAN 15 MILES AND NOW THIS!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN THE HELL DOES THIS END!? WHEN WILL THEY ADMIT THAT THEY CANT FIX MY CAR!!!!!!!!! YOUR BUSINESS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS MY COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT!? WHATEVER YOU DO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF GIVING A TODDLER A HAMMER AND TELLING THEM TO FIX YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I WOULD EVER EVER EVER COME BACK TO YOU GUYS! AFTER YOU FIX THIS IF YOU CAN FIX THIS I WILL TELL EVERYONE HOW MUCH OF A RIP OFF YOU GUYS ARE AND TO STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you dont mind vague time estimates and waiting 5x those time estimates while questioning whether they are even working on your car, then this is the place for you! My girlfriend and I brought her car in for an inspection the other day around 9am and they told us that it should take about an hour or two. Im just thankful neither of us had anything else to do because we did not leave until 4:15pm. That on top of the people behind the desk having completely different stories about what was happening to the car, less than a minute in between, really makes the experience feel a little shady and like they are ripping off you and your time. However what upset me the most occurred when I was sitting in the waiting room in one of the larger chairs that allow you to see over the blackout curtain and into the garage. I noticed one of the mechanics who had a car raised and should have been working on it, leaning against the wall playing on his phone. Since I literally did not have anything better to do while waiting, I timed him using my phone. His "smartphone break" was 33 minutes long. It wasnt my car but just think of the poor sap (who came here because they specifically advertise "fast service", that was 33 minutes later to his important business meeting because the mechanic needed to play angry birds. Glad to know my time is important to you people! If youre a die hard Pep Boys fan I would highly recommend the one in Haverford as they are much kinder and more efficient. You could probably even break down in Exton and have it towed to the Haverford one and fixed before the Exton Pep Bots would even have you car lifted and began work on it. I certainly will not be coming back to this one. And frankly I can not see anyone other than the employees of the store giving this place 5 stars. If you look on Yelp you will see the same review there and anywhere else I can think to put it. I am incredibly unhappy with them and their "fast service" claims.

Pep Boys continues to be on my s**t list. I knew better than to use them for service, but saving $70 for something as simple as mounting and balancing new rims seemed worth it. Arriving on time to my 1:00 appt everything seemed fine. The 1.5hr wait time made me raise an eyebrow... For mounting and balancing??? I decided to check after 30 min (the typical amount of time it should take to do the job) I was told that "they were currently working on it, but itll probably still be another hour", they came out at 2:10 and said "Im sorry, but we cant do this for you today because of the rim style blah blah...". So I asked, "when did you figure this out? Ive been sitting here for 1hr already." To which the tech said in front of his lying-a** manager, "I just pulled it in 10 min ago". After 5 min of trying to explain to me how they couldnt do it, I walked out into the store, grabbed a tool, and said this will work. They are now working on it. ... !@#$@&*!#$*... Its now 3:00 and they are just now remounting the tires on the new rims. ... 3:30 now. Still no tires/rims on the car. This is something that takes less that 30 going slow. How is this even possible? ... They told me the tires were mounted and balanced at 3:30 and that they were just putting them back on the car. Its now 4:00. Still dont see wheels on my car. I feel like Im on an episode of Boiling Point and if I just start acting mad theyll tell me my damn car is ready and give me money. ... 4:45. Almost left... had to go back in because they only gave me 3 of my lock lugs back. Best part is they arent even balanced! Started driving and you can tell right away. Guess I should be thankful my wheels are falling off. Guess I have to go get them balanced somewhere now. Never again. Never.
