I really, truly wanted to like this place buuuut unfortunately the customer service wouldnt allow me to. First of all, I wondered the store aimlessly attempting to find someone, anyone to wait on me. I was totally ignored like I was invisible or something. Finally, I walked up to a group of employees that were talking to each other and asked if someone could recommend a foundation that provides maximum coverage. After they looked at each other for several seconds, one of them told me that the person who could help me, was off that day. Really???? I am a person of color, so am I to assume there is only ONE employee who is trained to service people of color??? I hope this type of non-customer service is exclusive to the Jonestown Road store and not the tone of Ulta company wide.

Wide variety, lots of choices. I have been to West Shore Ulta and IMHO one on East Shore on Jonestown Road had alot more choices and variety. I think they carry more trendy, newer stuff bcoz of more younger crowd. I saw more latest trends in colors for something as basic as matte lip colors, eye shadows. I didnt interact with the staff on West Shore so cannot comment but the one on East Shore (Jonestown Road) seemed to know the products in depth and suggested alternatives. I buy only cruelty free, no animal testing products and it was interesting to see these girls well informed. Note: This place is very busy. If you really want to get advice of associates best would be to go on weekdays late evenings. Avoid weekends.

They will ignore you and unfortunately they are not very knowledgeable... I am a platinum member but I absolutely NEVER get free gifts -which is weird to me since i buy high end products on online it says free gift with purcgase...In 2 years all I ever gotten was 2015 a too faced travel size mascara -thats it! That actually really bothers me! I shopped at sephora twice and I got a Marc Jacobs mascara, a kat von D lipstick and perfume samples. So yes, that really really bothers me

Been in and out of Ultas for years! I love makeup and beauty products, I went in last night and a very nice employee helped me pick my new holy grail makeup product that im now obsessed with! She helped match my color exactly! I always end up buying the wrong shade and have to make multiple returns which is a burden because i live so far away, The service was very helpful and i will keep returning to this ulta!

Horrible customer service. I had to search and search for someone to help me. I couldnt find anyone on the sales floor so I had go to the front register. There I found 2 females just standing there who didnt even acknowledge me until I said "excuse me" In the end I basically had to help myself. Ive had similar experiences here several times. The reason I rated this a 2 was bc the store is clean and organized.

I have been to Ulta now at least 3 times to get my hair done. Gilad is my designer of choice. He is very professional and knows what is current and definitely is passionate about what he does. He listens to your concerns,makes suggestions and WOW...the results are amazing. Thanks Gilad for giving me a new look!! In addition,many beauty products to choose from at exceptional prices.

Went in a couple days before Christmas... the store was pretty business but the sale lady Nia seem to have time for the customers. Very knowledgeable and very sweet young girl. A very bubbling attitude. Some of the other sales lady need to learn something from her. I also went after Christmas and I didnt get that feeling from another sale person. Otherwise store was very clean.

Im going to say... the one girl was magnificent in helping me. I got a lipstick from urban decay at first it was out of stock,until I finally found a sales person who wasnt in a circle talking. The girl found the lipstick, and lip gloss, I was looking for ,back stock. They do carry most brands,but no kat van D. But you cant have everything.

The blonde manager who was so rude when checking me out, who couldnt be bothered to make eye contact or engage in a greeting or any exchange of words beyond, "you need to sign this" while shoving paper at me and then handing MY receipt to the gentleman three feet to my left when I was standing immediately in front of her should be fired.

I had an exceptional experience today at this store. The staff was very helpful. Hannah took her time to help me find better products for my face as I had recently made a purchase and nothing worked right. She was determined to make sure I was happy and was so patient with my lack of knowledge. Thanks Hannah!!!

Make sure to be on time for any appointment. Apparently its ok for Ulta to make you wait 15-20 minutes for every appointment when you arrive on time, but if you are 5 minutes late they will cancel your appointment.
