After reading others reviews before scheduling my own appointment, I agree the stylists at Shag are brilliant. I saw Shereise, who understood my overall vision and executed it better than I could have ever imagined. My thin hair has always been an issue with previous stylists, but Shereise knew how to achieve the look I wanted despite of my hair. She made suggestions, but I always felt comfortable and in control of the cut. The end result was spot on the picture I had shown her. I was delighted! Plus, the atmosphere at Shag is intimate and relaxed. I had a lovely time chatting with Bill, Lisa and Shereise. Until Shag, I had never left a salon truly satisfied. Im happy to say Shag has changed that for me. Thank you Shereise!

I have gone to Bill several times, and each time the color/highlites get worse. I have left his salon with uneven color (blonde ends peaking through a dark color), highlights that look 3-4 weeks old (because he does not get to the root of your hair) and my personal favorite.... uneven highlights (they look like zig zags going down the middle of my part). It makes me sick that I paid full price for each of these treatments, only to find out the next day (after I style my hair my normal way) that Bill let me walk out of his salon knowing he messed up my hair. Who doesnt notice a big blob of blonde on one side of your part? Dont waste your time here.

I have been going to Shag Salon for several years now and have had nothing but a positive experience. Before finding Shag, I felt like I had tried every salon in the Harrisburg/Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg area & was never consistently happy with the results. I had even gotten desperate and tried paying waaaay to much for a decent cut/dye job. Bill and the girls are awesome and I am always happy with my results. I always leave the salon smiling both from the way my hair looks and for the good time I had while sitting in the chair. They are skillful, professional, and all around good people. I highly recommend Shag for a great salon experience.

Ive been a client of Bills for over 20 years. I take comfort in knowing that I can just sit in his chair and he will work his magic to provide great highlights and a perfect cut to keep me looking great. Ive referred several clients over the years. I also know of many that would rather travel a few hundred miles for Bill than to even think of allowing another stylist to touch their hair. That alone speaks volumes to me. If youre in the market for a new stylist, See Bill at Shag. You wont be disappointed. Great Salon and Stylist.

Ive been coming to Shag since I moved to Harrisburg two years ago and have always been very satisfied. Everyone is so friendly and theres always chocolates and drinks to help you relax. They really go the extra mile to please their customers. I was also especially pleased to find a place nearby that was knowledgable about black hair and able to do relaxers and keratin treatments and they were very accommodating, as I have a sensitive scalp and they helped me try some different treatments to figure out what worked best.

have been going to Bill since the mid 1990s when my previous stylist moved from Harrisburg and recommended Bill to his customers...and I have not been disappointed...I have a wacky schedule at times and he always does his best to accommodate me...always get compliments on my hair color and cut....Lisa his receptionist is great and keeps everything running smoothly. I have recommended him to several of my friends and they have all been very pleased!

Ive never had a hairdresser than I could trust... until I went to Heather at Shag! I wanted a drastic change and she listened to my ideas, looked at the photos that I had collected, offered advice and gave me a FANTASTIC cut! Im in love with my new look! We had a great time chatting and I love the atmosphere of the salon. I live 2.5 hours away, but I will ONLY be getting my hair cut here from now on!

When I moved from State College 3 years ago I needed a new place to get my hair cut. I tried a few other places but did not like the experience I had. The first time I got my hair cut at Shag I knew it was the place for me. Bill and staff are super friendly and very accommodating to my busy schedule. Bill will be the only stylist cutting my hair for know on and I am a very picky person.

I was looking for a SMASHING short haircut, something fresh, something that would flatter my face. I was looking for a stylist who could just look at me and my hair and figure out an awesome cut. And oh boy, did Bill deliver! Awesome cut! Different! Perfect for a professional lady yet with an edge. I am definitely going back. Oh, and his price is pretty reasonable, too.

Cant recommend. There was an unhappy customer before me; my cut was mediocre for $42. Bill barely included me in a conversation he was having with another client my entire cut, never asked about anything so unlike another review saying he was a good listener I certainly wouldnt know. Theres professionalism, and theres nelly. $42 of nelly.

Great hair cut and great color. I hardly ever get my hair cut, but I wanted a change and some color for fall. I went in and Heather and Bill consulted with me about what I wanted color wise, and I couldnt be happier with the results. Everyones has been complementing my new color and cut. I was charged 45 dollars for 20 minutes of work. She didnt even style it and even asked if I wanted it to air dry. She spent 5 minutes blow drying and it looked horrible. I will never go back!!
