Ive been coming to Ancill for brazillian waxes for about five or six months now and am consistently impressed by her and this establishment. I started coming to Ancill because of the fabulous price and location (just steps from the Eastern Market metro) and because of the flexible hours (MSI Beauty Studios stays open well past the 9-5 work day and is open on the weekends which makes it convenient to stop by whenevers best for you). The reason I keep coming back though is Ancill herself. Ancill is friendly and chatty throughout the whole process and has a remarkable ability to remember what Ive told her about my life and follow up with me during my next visit. She always asks me about my sometimes ahem mostly non-existent love life which I find un-endingly entertaining. Of course shes also an excellent waxer. Shes extremely thorough and generous in her waxing. Ive tried quite a few other places in the DC area and have never found this level of service. Even though I live and work in the complete opposite side of DC I will keep coming back to Ancill - I wouldnt trust anyone else!!

Ive gone to MSI once and got a wax treatment where A LOT of my hair was not removed by the root, thus I had plenty of hair growth the very next day, as if I had shaved instead of waxed. When I called to cancel my next appointment (a month later), the aesthetician called me back and way more aggressive than she was understanding. I can say that during my wax, she was very personable and easy to work with overall. The other staff was sufficiently friendly though not consistently professional. Not a very clean office. Seems to be in a sketchier part of town.

I dont where to begin... I first meet Nina about 3 years ago. I was in transition with my eyebrows (a previous person did a wack job) and I was trying to grow them out. Nina approached and asked me in a very gentle way, what was the deal with my eyebrows. Since then, she has contoured, reshaped and trained my eyebrows. Its a given that no matter what I look like, whether to just rolled out of bed or ready to go to ANY event my brows are on FLEEK. She is incredible at her craft, whether eyebrows, hair removal or healthy skin, GOD HAS TRULY GIVE HER A GIFT!

I have been coming to MSI studio since June 2014 and it was the best decision Ive made! Ive gone to other places but noting compares to this business. The service is great. Ancill does a wonderful job waxing and makes sure you feel comfortable (painless as possible and no double dipping). She is knowledgeable of how to take care of your skin before and after waxing.The location is perfect as it is right across from the Eastern Market metro. I would truly recommend giving MSI studio a try. Once you do youll keep coming back.

I found Ancill through Groupon and she is AMAZING! She makes the experience as comfortable as possible. I will not sugar coat this at all, the wax is definitely an...interesting process. Some people are different, but I will say that it is pretty painful because the area is so sensitive. Ancill does her best to try to keep you on a regular schedule by offering her $99 promotion for three brazillians. Definitely worth it! She also offers several in-house products that aid in after-wax care, in-grown hairs etc.

I absolutely love this studio. The staff is so friendly and positive, you can tell they love what they do. They are knowledgable about what they are doing and care. Very kind, quick and efficient. My brazilians are amazing. I have refered 1 person and i will refer more. Also it is in a nice neighborhood, after your wax you can walk around and go out to eat or get starbucks. Hookah house within walking distance too.

I have been looking for a place close to home where I can get a good bikini wax. MSI and Ancill are now my go to place. Ancill is knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. I mentioned I was nervous and she consistently asked how I was feeling and explained anything she was doing. She uses both soft and hard wax which makes the experience so much easier. go to MSI this place is the best.

Ancil...shes the angel of waxing! Great conversation ( a plus) and very laid back! I lovedddd the outcome and after 4 months I continue to return. Premium waxing and its done in a timely manner! Ive been to many places, but none with as great prices, positive attitudes and that actually take the time to tend to any conditions or areas of concern! Great team! Great work!

I moved here a couple of years ago and had trouble finding a good waxing studio. I finally came across this one and it is the best on the hill. Ive been going to Ancill and never had a bad experience. She makes you 100% comfortable and takes pride in her work. She even had me come in for a touch up a week later for no charge. This is the best place on the hill!

I couldnt ask for a better experience. Nina did a great job with my brazilian wax. Excellent results, no bumps or irritation afterwards, while comfortable and painless during the session.
