Update: I took my mom to Dafnos tonight and it went so bad I felt that I had to amend my previous review. Hopefully it was just a bad night. We had originally gone to Feniccis but the wait was two hours, so we headed to Dafnos. We were seated and I unwrapped my silverware to find the fork crusted with dried food. The waitress came and took our orders and said there was no lemon for my water. She brought our drinks but left no straws, so we sat for quite a while with our tongues hanging out but after the dirty silverware I wasnt going to drink directly from the glass. She brought a basket of bread but there were only two tiny round rolls in the bottom of the big basket. My mom didnt want the salad so the waitress offered asparagus or broccoli so mom ordered the asparagus instead of the salad. My salad came and nothing for my mom, so she watched me eat my salad. We waited forever for the food, and apologies started coming about something got messed up in the computer. The food finally came and my moms chicken parmesan came as two small pieces of chicken, not breaded like a parm usually is, on a plate with some random pieces of asparagus. My mom asked wheres the linguine and they said they gave her asparagus instead. Hello, the asparagus was in place of the salad not the linguine. They brought more linguine and rolls when we pointed all of this out. My manicotti was pretty mushy and disappointing, not as I remember it. The pomodoro sauce was excellent as usual though. To top off the evening, the waitress brought a tiny styrofoam box for my moms leftovers, which was quite an ordeal getting it into there and a mess. Not sure what the heck was going on a Dafnos, but I really had to knock my review down by two stars after that fiasco. They werent all that busy, so it was very disappointing. Original Review: Love, love, love Dafnos! Very good Italian fare in a quaint restaurant. It was my late sisters favorite spot. They have a great selection of Italian dinners, and the pizza is excellent.

Ate here for the first time this past weekend (Sept 6-7th) while in town. Our waitress was nice enough, the place was clean and has a decent atmosphere overall. I had the bruschetta caprese appetizer- the tomatoes werent ripe enough. The side salad that came with my meal was literally nothing but lettuce, lots of red onion, and two grape tomatoes, and they didnt have any kind of vinaigrette dressings. I ordered the gnocchi for my entree. This didnt taste bad, but I wouldnt order it again. The gnocchi was more like cheese ravioli with the edges cut off, and the pasta was very chewy. All in all, not the worst meal Ive had, but I wouldnt go back. It was also weird that they were completely empty over an hour before closing - the staff were sitting at a table near the door, and we were the only diners in the place as we finished, and we walked into an empty parking lot. This was a Friday night.

ate here a few times - menu had so many delicious looking items -- unfortunately food was average at best and way out of wack with the prices - big anticipation to disappointment ratio -- dishes could really use improvement - except the jalapeno fried gnocci - theyre a great snack. also - and this is why it gets 2 stars - salad was actually crunchy as if the greens were completely unwashed and had sand on them - how basic is that? shows how much the kitchen cares about quality -- also and most important -- everyone in the kitchen needs to wear full outfits - we saw a sweaty slob of a man exit the kitchen in a tank top - I dont want armpit hairs in my food!! save that for a 24hr burger joint... I guess I shouldve taken a hint from the fact that there were no cars in the lot...

I went to this restaurant for my birthday this past weekend with my husband. We were in the Hershey area and I was craving Italian food so after reading reviews on here it seemed like a good choice. When we walked into the restaurant it smelled amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs, but I was highly disappointed in the food. We both ordered an entree that came with salad and rolls. The salads were nothing, but iceberg lettuce and a sliver of a tomato. We received two of the tiniest rolls in a big basket. The rolls were nothing impressive and we didnt even finish eating them. Our meals were so so. Cant say well be back any time soon.

We live in the area and have enjoyed many of the finer restaurants in the region. Dafnos Italian Grille" has become a First Choice when members of our family ask " Are we going out for dinner?" The term Grille in itself - does not suggest the always freshly prepared High Quality foods served by a well trained staff. The selection will be enjoyed by the kids on up to the fussy eater too. Another important requirement is the cleanliness of the entire property. All in all - its a well run and family owned establishment that you should experience more than once! BTW... The coffee is very good and dessert choices are fantastic!

We were staying at the White Rose Motel in Hershey and saw a menu there for Dafnos and checked it out. Everything from the fresh brewed ice tea, to the great little rolls, and especially BOTH of our entrees were amazingly delicious. The booths are very roomy and the service is great too. Great food and we were actually served relatively quickly for a sit down place. I think we were in and out of there in 40 minutes, which was great because we were headed back to the park. I had the Chicken Chesapeake and rank it within the top five meals Ive ever had. Husband had the shrimp scampi ravioli and it was equally delicious. GO!

After living in Hershey for 4 years and wondering about the place...I was beyond disappointed The food was okay, nothing special...I refuse to buy a salad to go with an Italian Dinner, thats the first time I have ever ate anywhere that you didnt get a salad or vegetable with your dinner...The service was good but again the food wasnt anything to write home about, kind of bland tasting...this was my first and will be my last visit Lori Hershey PA

Im from the Philly area and I know good pizza. This place has the best brick oven I ever had. Fried calimari was splendid, it was not rubbery. Chicken caesar salad was incredible. The staff was awesome. Very impressed with my waiter, asked him the best place to watch the 4th of July fireworks, besides actually being in the park and he gave me a great place to watch from. Excellent all around.

Great food and staff even with a large party they were still able to get our food in a timely manner. Waitress gave her suggestion of baked ziti and glad she did, it was very delicious as was the tiramisu. Others had the chicken fettuccine which was a hit as was the cheese ravioli, chicken parmesan and special cheesesteak. Had a great time and will recommend to anyone heading out this way.

The best Italian restaurant in Hershey... probably the best Italian food around. Feniccis has nothing on dafnos. Good food, great staff, and the owner is always around and is always so nice. Ive been going to this place for years and I would recommend it to everyone. CUDOS to dafnos I literally live this place. 10/10
