I was interested in checking this "gym" out based on its favorable location and second hand reviews. I asked for a tour as there was no trial pass and it was 20$ for a one day pass. Literally, the first thing the girl told me when we started the tour was that this gym was a "judgement free zone". I asked for a little more information and as it turns out, they actually have a written policy against judging others. Unnecessary, dishonest, and effeminate. An appalling first impression. She went on to tell me that the gym was not geared to weightlifters, which very soon became readily apparent. My spirits lifted briefly as I thought I had identified a gun rack on one of the walls which she claimed was in fact a set of stretching bars. This was not going well. As we moved to the resistance weight area I was informed that the dumbbells only went up to 60lbs, roughly the weight of the rack of ribs I had for dinner last night. As if all of this wasnt bad enough, every possible piece of equipment was painted a sprit Ely shade of purple I havent seen since the dodge neon came out in 1994. Clearly the work of a tasteless yuppie (couple). At this point I had become overcome with emotion and requested to end the tour early for fear that I would contract menopause if I heard any more. I didnt even waste my time asking who their local connects were for anabolics. Planet fitness. Perfect for napping and running into your passive aggressive body dimorphic x-girlfriend. 1 out of 5 stars.

I enjoy going to this gym most of the year. It is spacious, the staff is helpful and friendly and the place is clean. There is only one problem--during the warmer months when the outdoor temperature climbs into the 80s or 90s, the temperature inside the building becomes elevated to a level that makes exercising very uncomfortable. This condition has occurred regularly for the past two years and seems like it will be a problem again this year. They have tried fixing the problem numerous times but never with any permanent success. Hopefully, the franchise owner will be motivated to do whatever needs to be done to correct the problem, but it seems unlikely. If the problem is resolved, I will edit my review to reflect the change.

My wife and I were in the area for 3 months. We started our membership immediately after our "tour" of the facility. The staff was nice, the machines, locker rooms, and building were clean. The members are respectful of each other. I did not fear anything of mine will ever be stolen, in fact Ive actually witnessed someone loosing there phone and a staff member smiling telling the member not to worry and that it was probably turned in at the from desk. He was right! as if he new know one would steal from anyone in the area. Parking lot is safe. Jenkintown is great. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to save money and work out in a clean environment.

This place can get super crowded at certain times so can be a real pain to use the equipment you want. Otherwise though, one of the better planets Ive been too. Big and pretty decent selection of machines, staff has always been friendly, large stretching area upstairs is great, though I think they should have all the mats stacked instead of permanently on the floor. They would prob stay cleaner that way. Still overall seems pretty clean (for a gym).

Absolutely awesome. LaFitness, specially the one on grant ave doesnt COMPARE. LaFitness may have a sauna and some really good equitment but the staff are very rude and the gym is filthy and way too crowded. At this planet fitness the staff are very nice and friendly and so are the members. The gym is big with lots of equitment and very clean. Great place to workout. Went there yesterday to try it for a day and was very happy. 5 stars

Just exercised here for the first time yesterday, very happy. The whole place was very clean and the staff was friendly. Lots of open space and new equipment. Im an LA Fitness refugee, and Im very happy I made the switch. Great value for the money, and frankly - much better attitudes than what I was used to before (@ LAF). Great place to workout! (Think LMFAO) - I workoooouuuut!

I had a terrible experience discussing an issue I had with one of the managers there I wouldnt recommend discussing any problems you have with the gym with anyone who works there. The staff doesnt seem to care about their guests needs. I am disappointed and will not be returning

Clean, friendly, super convenient to my office, and to Route 611. Ample parking space. Next to Whole Foods. If you are looking for a basic gym for an efficient workout at a (very) reasonable price-- this is the place.

Always open is the best thing about this place. You pretty much cant get that anywhere else. And for $20/mo you get unlimited tanning and use of massage chairs and water massage bed. Its really a great deal!

I,ve worked out in here for over two years. Very few people wipe off the equipment when they are done and no one monitors this. It,s like a big petri dish of germs in here. I am cancelling my membership

I love this place. Its close to home, reasonably priced and the staff is always friendly. The machines are always clean and the locker room is too. No intimidating people here. I LOVE this gym.

Large gym. The staff is very friendly. I wish they would expand the free weight area a bit as it can get rather crowded, but I also know PF is more geared towards cardio equipment.

Love this Planet Fitness! I was going to LaFitness but its always crowded, this Planet Fitness is clean, and spacious. Its worth $20 if you ask me.

Mans locker smells horrible.Restroom in looker room is clogged or wasnt cleaned for a long time.
