the numbers on the weight machines are nearly all peeling off so you cant see how much weight your are lifting. It is ALWAYS crowded. They encourage you to come in during "non peak" hours but there unfortunately isnt any unless you plan on coming at 4 am. they need to put more of the same machine in there. There is only one ab curl bench that you can add weight on and its in the 30 minute workout which is only reserved for people using the 30 minute work out. Also, there is only one pec butterfly curl machine that is never open. I patiently weighted 20 minutes (no exaggeration) for the fly curl machine to open while some guy just sat there texting on his phone. I politly asked him if he was almost done to which he snarkly replied, "IAM using it" I told the front desk the dude is just playing on his phone hogging the machine to their reply "sorry there is nothing we can do, if they are sitting on the machine, we have no way to distinguish if they are exercising or not as we are the juddgment free zone".. seriously pansy? one more thing. CLEAN YOUR SHOWERS THEY ARE DISGUSTING. The shower curtins are always full of black and yellow grime and they are barely big enough to cover the entire shower stall. There are many other planet fitnesses out there that have a much better facility .. I will be uploading pics too

Even before this location received an overhaul with its design and upgrade, it was in a location that was not conducive of a true Planet Fitness experience. Planet fitness locations seem to usually be from automobile sales locations that they have bought out and converted. Or, some sort of factory type location and then converted. They usually have tanning in some locations even offer a haircut service in place of the tanning (like the one location up in New England). This location stated that it was not able to have tanning due a noncompete agreement with a tanning salon in the same strip mall. Your they assured customers that this would happen. And they at least offered Red Light "tanning" services where none other locations offer that. So because the location didnt offer tanning for quite a while and the staff was more rude, lazy along with cramp parking… This became the less ideal location. Which is why other locations (i.e.- Flourtown, Jenkintown) became preferred locations for consumers.

1) It is ALWAYS crowded and usually with people that otherwise should have no business in the gym because they arent using the equipment correctly, or they are just sitting there playing on their phones taking selfies. 2) Trash cans are ALWAYS full. Seriously, they are always spilling brown paper towels everywhere, every trash can, every time of day. Associates just hanging behind the desk waiting for their shift to end 3) Their trainer always makes you wait 15 minutes after a scheduled class starts just incase more members show up late...this is unfair for the people that show up on time trying to get training in before work. The people who are late should be penalized by missing class, not the people who show up on time. 4) Showers are gross and the curtains are so small that they offer no privacy. 5) The associates are always miserable, there are better PF locations where employees dont act like they hate being there

Planet fitness prides itself on being a "judgement free zone." However, when I went in to cancel my gym membership, they were completely the opposite. The woman at the front desk was rude as could be. When I said I wanted to cancel my gym membership, she stared at me, and just handed me the form to fill out. Finally she says in a snarky attitude, "Can I ask you WHY you are canceling?" And when I said my reason, she snickered and laughed to herself. She gave me the carbon copy of the paper without muttering a single word. While Planet Fitness is a good gym for anyone looking for basic gym equipment (because that is all that is there), their customer service is lacking, which is one of the most important aspects of a gym. They should rethink who they hire

if you sign up for a membership with this gym, you will absolutely regret it. The people at this gym, especially the manager are so rude and extremely greedy. If you want to cancel your membership before 10th of each month, the front desk will ask you postpone after that day. They use various excuse, e.g. computer is not working, The reason is they want to charge you one more month. Even you cancelled your membership, they may continue charge you. If you point out that you already cancel your membership, they will use various reason such as they can not find the copy of your cancellation form, or the cancellation was not recorded in computer, to charge you a couple of month membership fee. So if you want to trouble free, never sign up this gym.

SOOOO MUCH BETTER!! I was always hesitant on leaving a negative review for this place, but seems like these staff and the atmosphere has changed. I am NOW greeted with friendly faces and treated respectfully. Some of the staff before were rude, stuck up, and not friendly. The fact that I work late helps bc it isnt usually too crowded. The new stand up tanning bed rocks! Just really really wish this gym had StairMasters. Then it would be PERFECT. They are always being used at the other gyms I go to. Thanks for the workouts!

OVER POPULATED no matter the time of day. If you want a nice complete daily work out consider waking up at 3 am and going. The employees here are a joke that I would respect more if they were taking my order at McDonalds not controlling my checking account. The monthly fee is not bad but thats all that its worth with the hassle of waiting for machines to complete your routine. pay the extra and hit up retro I would pay 10 a month just for there cardio movie theatre.

Ive been to multiple Planet Fitness locations, but this one is the worst. For starters, the front desk didnt have a guest log in and couldnt look up my account. The locker room was hard to find in the back. The whole gym is very dark and cramped without windows. Ventilation also seems to be a problem. There were additional machines on the second floor. I wont be going back. I prefer the Montgomeryville location.

Joined last night and the guy at the front desk was really helpful- showed us around, explained the machines and layout, shook our hands etc. The facility was clean, people respectful, customer service great, machines in good order and not too crowded- delivered exactly what was promised for a quarter of the cost of other places. So, good in my book.

One star for the payment policy... Direct access to my checking account? I dont think so!! After all the credit card hacking that goes on why would anyone leave themselves open to this by providing bank account access to a retailer like Planet Fitness!??!! Why not payment via debit or credit cards? Ridiculous.

Do not sign up for a membership with this gym. You will thoroughly regret it. The people at this gym are rude and extremely unhelpful, specifically the assistant manager Tori and her co-worker Mike. I have been stuck paying for a membership for the past 8 months that I was told had been cancelled.
