TERRIBLE customer service! When I joined two years ago I was informed that if I move (which I was planning on moving to NYC) they had a gym there I could transfer to...There are NO gyms in the area. Also, when I moved, I called the gym to cancel my membership and all I got was attitude the moment I told them I wanted to cancel. The first girl was extremely rude and told me I am going to have to come to the gym and left a message for the manager (Laurie) to call me. I never heard from her. I called a second time and got attitude from a different receptionist and they refused to put me through to the manager, so they left a message. I never heard from her. I finally called the main office to file a complaint, and they first hung up on me when they heard I was canceling, I called back, and the man was extremely rude and told me that they could not cancel my membership over the phone, and that I was going to have to travel the 30+ miles to the nearest LA Fitness. I continued to argue and he finally caved and canceled the membership. It took him all but two seconds to do this. This was a task that took me over a week to get in touch with someone and I was billed for another month. They refused to remove the charges even thought it was a problem on their end. DO NOT join ANY LA Fitness! Join Planet Fitness (only $10/month) or a local rec center. ****Men who are planning on joining LA Fitness**** Proceed with caution. This gym is notorious for gay men cruising. It is disgusting. I complained once before and the management did nothing to stop it.

I looked at a few gyms in the area before deciding on this one and I still feel as if I made the right choice. I looked at a few gyms that cost less money but they over all seemed dark, dirty and smelly(granted I know most gyms are). I love that it is so open and bright and that everything is so clean. The locker room feels more like a hotel bathroom and I love that. Showers are cleanand there are lots of counterspace to get ready(I work out before work). I love that I have never had to wait for a tredmill or eliptical and rarely for a machine. The staff was and is very friendly, they made signing up easy and when I did consider canceling(only because my life had gotten too busy to go), the front desk girl printed my form for me(love them too, they always make sure to say hello and goodbye). I ended up going more and not canceling. You can always sign up for weekly as well in which case its easy to cancel(which is a good idea if you arent 100%, a contract is a commitment). I also love the website because I can see how often I go...which is great motivation if Im not going enough! And of course I have the app on my phone so I can easily look up information. For the money, this is without a doubt the best and cleanest gym in Lancaster.

Do not join this gym unless you want to get ripped off. - Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. - Do NOT sign up for training program. You do not need someone following you to keep in shape. I tried to cancel my 12 month program after signing up for 2 weeks. I was told that it was easy to cancel. The contract has fine print that if you cancel within 3 days, you get your full amount back, if longer than 3 days you have to pay 50% of the remaining contract. Cool if you signed up for a 1 - 3 program. The 12 month program was $1600. Now I have to pay $800 for one training session. I called the corporate office to dispute and the supervisor would not budge. If this is LA Fitnesss business model to generate revenue, then FU. This is legalized robbery imo. Even canceling my membership was a pain. Had to show proof of moving and took 2 months to process! They try to lock you into this gym. Plenty of other gyms that will let you go month to month.

Definitely look elsewhere. The mens locker room is absolutely disgusting and has been since day one. It smells terrible, its dirty and I dont even like to walk near the urinals and stalls. Last visit, the trainers and front desk staff were arguing over who was going to clean up the feces that was splattered all over the bathroom floor. Awesome. Ive been trying to cancel my membership for a week but apparently no one knows how to do that for me. They have equipment that has been out of service for over a year. Its just not a good gym. However, if you dont mind the site or smell of poo...or any of the other things I mentioned, this might just be the place for you!

I joined LA Fitness on Lititz Pike in October. I was seeking a new experience. Every day is a pleasant one. Club Manager Lori R is always cheerful and personal trainer Kyle is well-versed and demonstrates as well as explains everything in detail. The gym is well-designed, open, spacious with high well lit ceilings and nicely maintained at all times making for a consistently pleasant experience. Wide array of equipment, luxurious locker rooms, pool, racquetball courts, basketball court, spinning & aerobic classes - simply an awesome experience I highly recommend. - Mark!

I have been a member for a year now and I have been very happy with this gym. There are always enough machines so I have NEVER had to wait for anything. I have taken several classes and I love that theyre free and I can just show up whenever I want. They also offere a variety of fitness programs available. I have never signed up for a personal trainer, but have had several members of hte management staff take time out of their day to help me with machines and give professional advice. The bathrooms are spacious, clean, and never crowded. I love this place!

Yea its got a pool and sauna but alot of the equipment is out of order, so your waiting to use whats available, No Wi-Fi!!! Who the heck doesnt have wifi these days?!?!, the hours suck the staff are clueless (i ask one lady about a machine, she went to have a whole entire conversation with someone else and not to mention the tvs are small and old. You try to mention stuff, they dont care, they just brush it off like its nothing. The Harrisburg one is closing down soon, i wouldnt be surprised if this one did.

The worse . Got a pass to try it out. But the staff keep ask me when to sign up the gym I was there less an hour been ask about four times. When try to sign up they told me the special three months membership promotion ended. But my friend got the promotion two days later. Tried to cancel more than a month before membership ends, been told to paid a additional month, got mad and ask why, then told me they want to keep me there and bla bla bla . Have to call the credit card company to void the card.

The clientele will make you feel like you are working out in the prison yard. Also way too crowded. Poor gym etiquette everywhere and the staff does nothing about it. Folks leaving huge duffel bags in the middle of the free weight area for you to trip on, not putting weights back, and goofing around with their friends while "using" sought after pieces of equipment like the squat racks. Would avoid if you have other options in the area to work out!
