As a first time homeowner, you dread the day youre hit with a major home repair. Water in the basement was my case. I called Roto-Rooter because I wanted someone to come out that day and not charge me additional fees because it was Sunday. Mike was sent to assess the situation. I was very impressed with his depth of knowledge that complimented his many years of experience. Mike was practical, honest and straight-forwad with his recommendation to explore what could be going on with the plumbing outside the house. He built a trusting customer relationship so quickly and easily that I called the office the next morning to schedule an appointment to do the job. Even though the initial job appointment didnt follow through as planned, the staff worked with me to reschedule for a Saturday. Pete showed up early Saturday morning and began to go over the goals of todays job. I was impressed, AGAIN! Petes knowledge, years of experience and down-to-earth customer service was phenomenal. It didnt take long for both of us to conclude that this job just got bigger. Pete proposed a plan (for that same day nonetheless), obtained a quote and gave me time to make a decision. When I gave the go ahead, he called for backup. Next to show up was Aaron, who stated "this should be an easy one". He was kind, courteous and eager to work. He followed the direction of Pete and they worked well as a team. As the guys began to dig and uncover the sewer pipe, things began to fall apart, literally, and water filled up the hole. Pete determined it was time to call for another backup technician. Pete and Aaron headed to the store for supplies because "easy" just turned into "late night". While they were out, technician #3 showed up. Roto-Rooter Rob! Rob began troubleshooting the sewer backup issue and within 30 minutes he found the clog, cleared it out and the hole Pete and Aaron dug out was empty. What a lifesaver because I was starting to think nothing about this job was going to be in our favor. Long story short, I was a spectator throughout the entire job and learned more about plumbing than I ever could have fathomed. I commend Pete and Aaron for the long, grueling hours they put in on Saturday just so I could use the house plumbing and the hours it took on Sunday to wrap up the job. Kudos to Mike for building the trusting customer relationship so quickly that I chose to go with Roto-Rooter. Way to go Roto-Rooter Rob for saving the day and finding that house trap. Aaron, keep up the good work. Youve got an excellent group of talented guys to learn from. Pete, you made it all happen. You knew who to call for backup, how the job needed to be carried out and took the time to explain things to me. I had a magnificent group of technicians. They exceeded my expectations in everything they did. A huge THANK YOU to the crew who helped me through my first major home repair. I will certainly recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone and will be sharing my story for weeks to come. Keep up the GREAT work!!

Roto rooter made a plumming nightmare worse. I called to make an emergency appointment but they were booked up for the day so I made arrangements to have a plummer come over. Early in the afternoon the next day. I also told them I had a buisness to run and needed to leave my home at 5pm. The plummer showed up 4 hours late. There was not enough time for him to complete the task so he said someone would come back tommorrow to take care of my clogged sewer line for $274. . I informed dispatch that I would be leaving my home at 5pm again the next day. So the next day they sent someone out at 4:45pm? Right as i was trying to leave. I was so mad that I decided that $275 was alot of money for 1/2 hours work.I rented a sewer snake to attempt to clear the line my self. I was unsuccessful. So the next day I called another plumming company who advertised $150 to clear my clog. Once they arrived at my house they upsold me to $650 to have the job done correctly. Then charged me a $55 dipatch fee. Just for showing up. What a scam. They must get filthy rich. When they give this over priced uncompetitive quote and force the poor home owner to fork over the dispatch fee. So I called roto rooter back told them what needed done. I was told the technition who came to my home late last time would call me with a quote. After no call1 hour later I called back and spoke with another dispatch lady she said the same thing she would page the plumber and he would call me back. 2 hours later still no call. So I called back and the lady i spoke with the 1st time. Told me she gave me the quote. No she told me how much they charged for a cretain task wich didnt include everything so the job would be done right the 1st time? She lied and is incompetent. She lied to leave room for upselling. that way they could rip me off when the plummer arrived at my home. I had been waiting all this time to hear from the plummer that was at my home earlier that week. But she already gave me a quote?. She should be fired. DO NOT Use roto rooter their costomer service is horrible and they let the plumer set the rates on the job site so they can rip you off

Roto-Rooter On December 5th I had Culligan come out to my house to open a drain that was clogged. The man tried a mechanical snake to open the line. It did not work, only made it completely blocked. Told me he would talk to his manager and get back to me with a solution which never happened. I called Culligan and spoke to manager about situation. He told me he did not see the invoice but would look at it tomorrow and call back, NEVER HAPPENED. Very poor communication and reliability. Will not recommend Culligan of Harrisburg to anybody, left me with an expensive bill and no solution to the problem. Called local plumber which opened line and was a lot less expensive. Today is Dec. 26th still no reply. Sincerely, UNHAPPY CUSTOMER The head manager at Culligan did reach out to me the very next day after my initial post - and let me know that he would rectify the situation. He let me know he was not aware of the problems that had occurred. Culligan has rectified this situation and I am satisfied with the results Thank you Culligan for following through.
