We have a 2007 ford focus that my wife had purchased brand new. We have never had to do any work to it. After letting a friend borrow the car, she slid it into a guardrail putting a dent in the right rear quarter panel and door. Now I myself do not do body work, but I will do just general maintenance. Our insurance company recommends Cochran. Naturally, we take it there. From the day we took the car in until we got it back was three months. I would occasionally drive by and check and they never even started work on the car for two months even though I was told that it was finished within two weeks, but was later told it was not ready. I always got the run around each time I called. I was told verbally over the phone that the car was almost completed when the work had not even been started yet. When we got the car back, the floor mat in the trunk was wrong. Had a big rust stain on it and it did not even fit. They claim that is the one for this car. We have a four-door hatchback (considered a five-door), and on the mat, it said it is for a three-door. After arguing with them that it is wrong, they ordered a new mat since they could not find mine. They ordered another three-door floor mat which naturally doesnt fit, telling me that is the only one available for this car. So that tells me one of two things, they lied, or they did such a poor repair job that the paneling inside the trunk does not line up correctly. I kept both mats and just overlapped them. Fast forward to now. On the door they worked on, the window does not go down and had quit about five months after Cochran worked on the car. Having worked on door windows before, I took on the task myself. When I got a chance to work on it, I found the door clips were broken across the bottom of the door. Keep in mind, we purchased the car brand new, never had repair work done to it until now. There are gouge marks on the door panel where it had been pried and pulled. As for the window, there is a plastic ring that holds it to the track with a plastic pin pushed thru the center to wedge it in place. I found the ring in the bottom of the door and without the pin. Due to Cochrans negligence, I had to fix something that never should have been an issue, to begin with. The one good experience with them that I had, was that they provided us with a loaner car for the time in which they had our car. That was the only reason why I did not give a one-star rating. All things considered, I will never take another vehicle to them again. Very disappointed with the quality from such a large company.

This whole experience has made me wish i could go back in time and avoid the accident as my car will never be the same as it used to be. This is coming from a car person who knows every scratch and mark on their car because i used the vehicle for car shows. Now im still trying to figure out how to get my car back to the once was on my own because i cant handle with dealing with the body shop anymore. While the main pieces on the car that got replaced were done correctly for the most part. Its all the smaller details that got overlooked multiple times that became the point of frustration. Such as, paint overspray on my rim each time i had to take the car back for something else to be touched up, which i couldnt understand how it happened since it was on the opposite side they fixed, and after all their "cleaning" my rim is now tarnished to the point it doesnt shine like the others. Also my interior trim pieces look like they been pried open with a screwdriver the lazy way instead of a trim removal piece, they are scratched up and bent. Not to mention everytime i took it back to get something touched up they forgot, it would come back with new issues. For the amount of money that my insurance had to pay to get my car fixed, the quality of the work wasnt there. Not to mention the lack of communication this place has, its almost impossible to get a call back about whats going on with your vehicle, that is the number one thing that i have to complain about outside of the quality of the work. It would be helpful to be given updates or a heads up about your car when things start to run over expected completion dates, i always had to call numerous times to get an answer. At one point i was calling daily to no avail because a job that i was told was 3-4 days started turning into 2 weeks, thats a big difference. While the majority of the car came out good, a lot of Quality Control issues were there, and i believe that they need to look over cars completely before handing them back and having people return multiple times. It becomes quite the inconvenience and frustrating process when you need to go back over and over to have more issues arise each time. I seriously hope they take the time to read this and improve on their process because at the moment they need to take the time to rethink how they are doing things and make a much more customer service friendly process. I currently wouldnt recommend a single person here unless you just want work done and dont care how well it comes out. Cochran you can do much better.

My only regret with this review is that I didnt think to post it earlier. In early 2012, I graduated college and was moving to the Greater Pittsburgh area for my first "big girl job". The day I moved, I hit black ice and wrecked my 2007 Subaru Impreza into a ditch. It sustained extensive front end damage and AAA recommended I take my vehicle to Cochran Collision Center. It took over a week for them to make the repairs to the vehicle. Despite having an appointment to pick my Subaru up, I waited over an hour in the waiting room. When someone finally came to show me to my car the front end looked great. However, now it also had back end damage. It was very evident by the white paint scrapes and a large dent, that someone had hit the rear drivers side bumper. The gentleman that escorted me to my vehicle insisted it was there when it was delivered to Cochran. He continued to insult me saying it was my fault, since I only gave them permission to fix the front end damage. He then began pressuring me to come inside and sign the paperwork. I was never in an accident with another vehicle. He was clearly insulting my intelligence. In the end, I requested they take a look at the pictures they took when my vehicle was dropped off. He eventually came back and informed me I was indeed correct and the damage had occurred while my car was on their lot. After almost another week, they fixed my car for the second time. On their bill. Fast forward to why I decided to write this review now. My car was again, hit while parked in a parking lot. So, I took the car to be repaired. The damage was on that same rear drivers side bumper. The body shop repairman not only immediately noticed it had previously been repaired but commented that it was "some of the worst bodywork hed ever seen." He explained that it clearly had never been repaired it up to the correct standards. I still to this day feel that Cochran Collision was taking advantage of me. If I would have agreed to sign the paperwork and had left their lot, they never would have been held accountable. Looking back the way they treated me still angers me. I dont trust them and I truly hope you wont either.
