Will NEVER use them again or recommend Fender Mender in Pawleys Island to anyone. They kept my moms car for almost 6 weeks. (My mom had no rental car on her insurance, therefore the insurance company did not hound them.) Once they go the car together, oops they didnt realize the break line was broken, ordering mix up with ford, they blame ford for sending the wrong part. Another week gone, then off to the dealership for a front end alignment. Next on the list was faulty seat belt (why they didnt replace the seat belt, and all the parts connected, I have no idea). Another week gone. My mom finally got in the car and drove it a 1/2 mile down 17, the engine made a weird noise, she turned around and the Fender Mender guy said oh its a generic light so he turned it off. My mom wisely drove it right to Ford and its a part outside the transmission PCM ++$1,000 to fix. Fender Mender said it wasnt from the accident, they didnt do it. Ford in Pawleys Island I highly recommend, very professional and knew exactly what it was. Ford fixed it and the insurance paid, we felt so good when the car was at Ford and out of Fender Menders. Last two problems the drivers side visor was put on backwards and they broke the plastic cover between the drivers seat and door, which they offer to replace for free out of the goodness of their heart. The manager at Fender Mender was very rude, unprofessional and untruthful.

Our experience with the manager, BRIAN, was extremely distressing. We had been told the car was ready. It wasnt by any means ready. We could have taken the car and bought it back at a later date. "Brian said they were waiting for the Cadillac logo which goes on the back of the car. A large scrape on the side of the car had been left there. $7.800 later and a rental car for 3 plus weeks we left hearing swearing from Brian saying f..k off I dont need your business. This was on a Friday afternoon. On Monday we went back to FM to find the car had been finished?? We can only guess the missing logo had appeared from somewhere and the scrape had been done. This encounter lingered over our week end. We were shocked by the entire episode. We will be writing to owner as we now have what we need to contact him. The work on the car was satisfactory. Before we thought we were returning the rental on Friday we had the car washed, vacuumed and filled the gas to the level it had been at. Brian threatened to charge us $30 a day for storage. Storage for a unfinished job. We have never encountered such unprofessional behavior the man in charge But as we now know Brian does not need our money or business we will find somewhere else should we need to.

We took my daughters car there and they did such a bad job, not lining the parts up or putting them on correctly, we had to take her car to another shop! They also tried to explain it off as it was the best they could do and it was good. They put on a NEW DOOR and the alinement was so bad I would love to attach pictures-huge gap & door dragging. They also missed painting spots & left body compound inside the door & never reconnected the speakers. The only good thing was it was a "preferred shop" of insurance company but I dont know for how long since we had to take it to another shop to correct the many errors all on the insurance companies dime. I would NEVER TAKE ANOTHER CAR THERE LET ALONE TELL ANYONE TO GO THERE!!

The insurance company had our Prius sent here, even though its pretty far from where we live. We read the reviews and noted the positive ones were from employees. That, coupled with the extremely long wait for the repair (weeks) had us concerned. However, there was a valid reason for the extended wait (had to order parts from Japan). After all is said and done, the car seems to be in better condition than before its accident. The work is guaranteed and everyone I dealt with was professional. Communication could have been better. We had to call them to check on the car. Thats the only negative, and its pretty minor.

This shop Sucks. They have had my car since 4/6 and today is the 5/10 and i still dont have my car. they lie on the estimate so they can make the money and it takes longer to cover up the lie!!! i was hit from the back okay and if the car is taking all this long then they should have totaled it. Very disappointed in the time that its taking to fix my car 6 weeks were working on the 7th week after 5/11. WOW UNBELIEVABLE!!! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR BACK FAST!!!

Wish I had NEVER crossed their thresh hold..... disappointed in the response and promises that are mostly hot air. Will NEVER recommend them to anyone. If there was less than a one star rating, I would assign them less.
