I hired Alick in 2012 because he was recommended to me by a friend who owns investment properties in Easton. I wanted a quality job as this was my primary residence, and an expensive one. I use top of the line shingles. I want a new roof to last 20 years. He had a small dormer roof to fix. He installed a new roof and replaced a rotted facsia board. The fascia board rotted again, and it was because his guy did not extend the roof to have a drip edge. That is roofing 101 - a drip edge. When the re-rotted fascia board was pulled up the new roofer showed me that all the joists inside were completely GONE (old home - probably birds, or rot). Alicks guy had nothing to nail the roof or new fascia to in between the first and last framing member. There was about a 5 span with no support. So I would never hire Alick because when I pay for a roof I expect it to last and to be done right. This was not a supposed to be a slap job to sell my home or something. That is what I received. Roofers can slap new shingles on and hide things. You need to trust the roofer to make sure even though you can not inspect the hidden items that they were taken care of and 20 years shingles, or whatever you use, will last 20 years, not rot underneath and all around from water penetration and cave in from missing wood!

We called to get a rubber roof-quote for what we thought was an isolated leaking area... Once this roofing team got in there, they found a crucial rotting structural wood beam issue, and took the initiative to then discover a few other areas that were not yet visibly leaking inside, but were quite obviously on the verge. While the news was unwelcome, we are very happy that during the job Alick Smiths team took the initiative to find other major roof issues that would no doubt have become untimely roof surprises this winter. Everything was handled very professionally and fairly. Our new roof and rebuilt chimney look fantastic. While Alick Smith Roofing is quite busy (you may need to call a second time); the service & quality of workmanship are definitely worth a little wait, if they are on other jobs when you call.

Alick Smith Roofing did two jobs for us in the second half of 2016. The first one a ranch has had no visible issues to date, the other a rubber roofing job on a twin home has had continuous leaking since the job was completed. It is a joke trying to get a hold of Alick the owner, his voicemail is full does not respond to text messages, his employee has now been easier to get a hold of. They started now blaiming the neighbors roof even though it started leaking right after they did the job. The job was completed in November and we still have small leaks. We have to keep having tarps in the attic to prevent more damage to the living areas of the homes. Do yourself a favor stay away, I would not be surprised if he goes Bankrupt soon based on how he runs his business.

Just bringing customers up to date. Mr. Smith has not changed the way he conducts business. He has totally blown me off for months. On his last visit to my house, he agreed to fix his botched job saying he would be back in a couple of days.....That was three months ago. His workers lied to me continuously when they were replacing my roof. They even placed different colored shingle (possibly different quality from what I paid for) on my roof thinking Id never find out about it. On the roof ridge the workmanship was so poor that the shingles are falling in on themselves. He doesnt answer his phone. Never use this guy! Never! I wouldnt even give his firm one star, but its the only way to leave a review.

TERRIBLE!!!! We hired ALick Smith to do Vertical siding on our building. Mr. Smith said ,I quote" we do more siding than roofing" After 4 months of madness, we had little work complete,none of which is correct. We fired them. Mr. Smith apologized (after more than a 12 phone calls to get a response) for the lack of workmanship and agreed to refund our deposit. He then called his lawyer and put a mechanics lean on our property, stating that the project was complete.He is a LIAR! Project is still not complete! He will not return phone calls. DO NOT USE THEM!!! They will take your money and RUN!!!

I live in a development and when other people start replacing things.. You know yours will be next. A few years ago it was our air conditioning unit. this past year we noticed people replacing their roofs and used Alick Smith. When we saw some leaky spots we knew it was time. We loved the look if the new roofs and our neighbor was very happy with them so we called they came out in two days and setn me the quote in writing and it was a week from my phone call to the finished roof.. the price was fair the crew was very nice and neat and we are very happy and would recommend them.

Well this is the beginning of my review...I will see how it works out. However I will let you all in the internet world know my beginning and my out come it has been a lot of months since the storm and I am still waiting, I have details to share with you from day 1 on how they treat repeat customers. They do a little and make you wait.

Had an appt set for Wednesday, October 27th and the estimater never showed up or bothered to call. When I called and left him a message he never bothered to call back and apologize or reschedule the appt. Like people have nothing better to do than wait around to give another company business. Would not recommend....

My husband is a general contractor; his business is Elio Construction, and at times he needs a roofer on his job. When he called Alick Smith he was pleased with his workmanship, and the job was completed before it was promised. He cleaned up all the roofing debris and he is priced competitively.

Ive used Smith roofing for years.last years we called to have a repair done. We had no leaking at the time, just knew it had to be done.after they finished the job,we had More leaks then ever. Many phone calls and left messages nothing has been done. Needless to say I would not recommend ALICK.

Extremely disappointed with Alick Smith Roofing. There is not even enough space to record the madness that was associated with their workmanship. Very disappointed. How they remain in business is beyond me.
