DO NOT GO THERE. I lost 6 inches of my hair because of this place!! I went there for the first time and had my hair done with Tee. I asked for an ombre with darker roots (my hair is dark brown) and I already had highlights on. I spent 4 hours there and my hair came out ORANGE with red roots! I looked absolutely awful and it wasnt anything close to what I asked for. I went back an hour later and asked them to fix my hair. Spent more 4 hours at the salon and left looking even worse. My hair started to fall out while I was at the salon and they did absolutely nothing! I left there with my hair falling out and looking absolutely terrible. They literally cooked my hair, and I lost 6 inches of it! I went to a different place on the next day and all the hairstylists were terrified with what happened to my hair and said they had never seen worse job in their lives. It was all damaged and the color was so ugly. I had 6 inches of my hair cut off and I used to have really long, pretty hair. Now my hair is half of its old length because of Mark and Anthony Salon. Not only that, but when I called they said it would cost $60, I ended up paying $150! I asked for a refund and they gave it to me right away, but they can never give me my hair back or all the money I had to spend at the new salon and with all the products I have to use it now to fix what they did. Its going to take about an year for my hair to grow out and not to be damaged anymore. Ive never regretted something as much as going to that place. By any means, do not go there if you care about your hair. Dont make the same mistake I did.

When I first moved to Pittsburgh I immediately began looking for a hair salon that does natural locs. I found Mark Anthony on Google search & while it was only rated 2nd best in the area, I can personally say it should be number 1. When you first walk in, the atmosphere & aesthetics of the store shows that of a team that gets it. The staff is very courteous, kind and above all knowledgeable. My consultant was Domonique and not only is she really good at shooting the breeze, but definitely knew her stuff. She recommended the finest products to use, how to maintain good locs, and even explained type of activities that help with keeping them healthy! I could probably keep writing on how amazing the entire staff is but youll just have to experience it on your own. I will definitely be returning and keep doing business with them. P.S. Bring back #freewine!

I am African-American and my hair is not relaxed but I still choose to wear it straightened as opposed to curly or a more natural style. I have been to several salons in the Pittsburgh area over the past few months looking for a stylist who could maintain my hair. The stylists here are all experienced with my hair type (as well as many others as Ive observed a pretty diverse clientele) and take the time to blow it dry, press it and also flat iron it so that my roots stay straight for 2, sometimes 3 weeks. With the exception of traditionally busy salon times (i.e., holidays, weekends) I am usually in and out in less than 2 hours. All of the stylists and staff members have been friendly and pleasant. Decor is modern and the atmosphere is nice. I think the prices are reasonable for the product and service.

I went to this salon one time as a first time customer and it was a nice experience until it came to their customer service which sucks! before i attended my appointment i asked how much everything would be b/c i never been there before. After the nice hairdresser was done with my hair and it was time for me to pay i was blind sided. the price was more than what they said it would be on the phone and then the manger argued with me as if i was in the wrong. For me to be a first time customer i got the worst customer service ever. The manager blamed me for why i didn t know their prices and charged me the extra price. I wouldn t dare step foot back in that salon after being treated like that.

Went in for a consultation because I wanted to get a wash and set with a partial sew in, but was suggested by the hairdresser Dominique not to do a sew in and in suggested to let it breath leave it natural. Because of the breakage that I suffered from box braid and past sew in that occurred over the past couple years. She took time with me and answer all of my questions and gave me her honest opinion and that is what I like in a hairdresser someone thats just not going to take my money but wants to take care my hair. So I give this Mark Anthony hair salon five stars for just a consultation itself my hair appointment is this Saturday at noon so well see thanks Dominique see you soon.

My brother and I discovered Mark&Anthony on a whim, but were so happy we did. Collin did my hair perfectly. He took the time to talk it out with me and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted, and Im incredibly happy with the final product. My brother got his hair done by Angel, who also did a phenomenal job. I would definitely recommend this salon. The atmosphere is great, the stylists are friendly and really care about making sure you get the cut you want, and the haircut I received is the best cut Ive had in a really long time.

Luckily this is the first salon I happened upon when I moved to Pittsburgh 2 years ago. Angel helped me transition from relaxed to natural hair and I wouldnt go anywhere else. I am amazed when she blows out my hair and my daughters hair that its not damaged at all. It is always softer and silkier than when I came in. I have found the assistants to be wonderful - they give fabulous scalp massages while shampooing. I also find the prices to be very reasonable.

Im African.. Went in there to get a Press and Curl... First Ill say that the service was very pleasant, people were very nice.... Hair was beautiful.... Whats the problem? My hair received major heat damage as a result.... I had to chop off almost 6 inches from my hair... Hair hasnt recovered since... If I was permed, I would go there to do my hair, because it is the best salon ive been to in the area, however my hair is extremely damaged as a result.

My first time was an amazing experience. When it comes to professionalism they absolutely nailed it. All my nervousness and tention was eased and I had an overall amazing time. My daughter and I go to Mark Anthony salon. Carmen is my daughters stylist and Anthony is my stylist. They are a little pricey but the products they use are great! Anthony is a world color expert, he has colored my hair for years, and im pleased to say my hair is healthy and long.
