Terrible customer service. If youre not happy with what you got here, youll be treated as a cheap customer. Getting a perm from an inexperienced hairdresser would be fine at least unless you feel like you should be paid for letting them to practice on you (which happened to be my wifes case though). I know that even a future super expert should get started somewhere. However, the way how they treated the customer is just wrong. The guy we talk to, who claims to be the owner of this shop, never listened to us, cut off every sentences we tried to say, and didnt even care to give a close look on my wifes burned hair to see what could be wrong. Im not even sure he has the appropriate expertise as the "owner" of such a hair shop, and he obviously has no idea on what his business is all about. Actually, I had my hair done at there last month and I admit that it might be okay with the right hairdresser. But once you become unhappy with what they have done to you, you will be treated as a cheap and pathetic customer who seeks to trade spoiled feelings and emotions for only few dollars.

I made an appt at Lewis because I knew it was priced well and it is hard to find that in the city. The day of my appointment after I walked 15 minutes in the rain, I came to found out that my stylist (Brandy) called in sick and the receptionist said they were all booked the rest of the day etc. She offered to get me in the next day however I declined and she didnt even mention a complementary style or cut for the inconvenience. One other time I went there with a former boyfriend and I was appalled by how snobby the stylists were as they talked among theirselves about how much money they spend on shoes. They were extremely unfriendly and did not even take notice to the fact that I was sitting there by asking me how I was or anything....bad bad bad bad business....I will never recommend this place to anyone ever!I went to Salon 5844 where I was treated like royalty and given a great cut and style!I recommend it to anyone if your willing to buck up.

I normally dont write reviews but after seeing so many terrible reviews, I had to add my own. Ive been a customer of Lewis Hair Salon for the last five years. I have always had incredible customer service - the receptionist always find a last minute appointment and my stylist is always willing to stay late to accommodate. Everyone there is really friendly and will definitely provide a unique and relaxed atmosphere for their clients. My stylist, Reva (go see her!!) is AMAZING! I always get compliments on my cut and color. They use superior products and my hair is very healthy (even though I color it all the time!) The prices are incredibly reasonable given the superior level of service. If youre looking for salon products, they have the best prices!! There are numerous reputable stylists who have been long time employees of the salon, so definitely make your appointment and head over the Lewis Hair Salon!

Ive been going to Lewis Salon since 2008 and am a very loyal customer. I see Cassie and she is the greatest. She knows my hair and style really well and we always come up with fun new things to do with my hair. Ive had it long and layered. Ive had a purple streak. Now shaved a bit on the side and bright blonde. Shes really versatile and detail-oriented. I am never disappointed and I always get tons of compliments. I feel like a million bucks whenever I leave the salon. Everyone is really friendly and we all share funny stories. Its a great experience every time. If you are uptight then you probably cant hang with everyone there because they actually like to have fun at work. :) Its an open, fun environment and everything is reasonably priced--I prefer it that way over somewhere snobby and uber expensive. Love it at Lewis!

I am from out of state but I currently live in Pittsburgh for graduate school and I needed a place I could get an affordable, great haircut. After researching reviews and realizing how long Lewis Hair Salon has been in business, I decided to make the appointment. Best decision ever! I like that this place is nice, cleanly, and affordable (they offer a student discount too!). I felt very comfortable while I was there and I got to see Craig (I hope I am spelling his name right) who just began working there about a month ago but has lots of experience in this field. He really catered to my wants and needs and gave me the best haircut. I felt I could truly trust his expertise and opinion. He is genuine and will definitely be my go to guy for any future haircuts!

Came to Pittsburgh on a surprise visit to see my Fiancé. Needed my hair done so I looked on google last minute. Presidents Day so Lewis Hair Salon was the only shop open. Decided to give it a try and now I will be a repeat. I received a warm welcome and greeting from RJ who was able to book me in for a last minute appointment. RJ was excellent! Kind, courteous, and very knowledgeable. His passion at the salon can be seen from the quality in his work. I asked if it was a family business and I was surprised that he is just an employee helping out the business. Very dedicated and highly motivated individual. Flying in from New York I am highly satisfied. RJ was simply amazing. I will definitely be returning. A big thanks to the team at Lewis Hair Salon :)

I went there and got the worst service all the way around.. My stylist was reva and all she talked about was some football player. And she was more than should I say ghetto, and the person behind the desk was eating as if it where her last meal.. I walked in the salon and couldnt even see the person behind the desk until I got past hundreds of nail polishes. This salon is in a good location and thats about it. My hair was cut shorter then I wanted it, Oh and the guy john who is a stylist there as well cant stop talking about himself blah blah blah faboulaus.. Wtf I do not recommend this salon at all stay away...

Lewis Hair Salon has an extremely inviting atmosphere. Everyone who works there was so welcoming and kind. Bob knows his stuff! When I told him to only take 1/2 an inch off, he ONLY took 1/2 an inch. They listen to what you want done with your hair and really work with you to make sure you can get the most for your moneys worth-- extremely affordable prices too. Genuine, kind, and honest people. Definitely 10/10 recommend for anyone debating on trying this salon!

Im a guy who usually just gets a trim at supercuts, but wasnt really happy with my almost shoulder-length hair and decided to try something different. I wasnt sure exactly what I wanted except that I wanted it much shorter in the back, and Im very happy with what the young hair stylist was able to do. She seemed significantly more skilled than the average at supercuts.

As someone who was stepping up from barber shop to stylist, this is perfect for me. Their shop is not sleek and modern, but its comfortable and well maintained. Everyone who Ive dealt with there has been nice and professional. Their prices are super reasonable and Sean is awesome. Dont ask for him so I can get an appointment whenever I need to.
