My daughter and I both went in for a haircut at the Rutgers Avenue Super Cuts in Roanoke VA today. We both keep pretty current cuts - mine short, uneven, and sassy - my daughters "scene" with short, colored, layers framing the face atop long dark body. I specifically asked if either of them had ever cut hair like my daughters and both said yes. Her hair was absolutely butchered. Chopped straight across at the forehead instead of using thinning sheers to create a softer line. The side was chopped - literally chopped - straight across, at a different level than the bangs or length on the sides. It wasnt blended in... and when I pointed out a hole that she had cut in my daughters hair, instead of attempting to blend it in - she said "thats how it is in the picture" and then proceeded to chop it more and tell my daughter that the sides were too short and needed to be grown out. (SHE is the one who cut the sides too short, they were blended well prior to us going into SuperCuts. She blended NOTHING.) When I tried to comment and show her things that were wrong, she just kept saying thats how the picture is... which it WAS NOT. She was arrogant and prideful. She should have been honest and said that she didnt know how to do that type of cut instead of butchering my daughters hair the day before school starts. It was obvious we were dissatisfied but no refund or solution was offered. The "stylists" both were inexperienced. Although the one who attempted to cut my hair seemed more intent on trying to provide good customer service, the one with the superior attitude should not be working with people - esPECially cutting hair. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to the "great style" advertised on the Super Cuts website.

My boyfriend goes to the SuperCuts on Rutgers in Roanoke once a month and his hair is always done exceptionally well. The staff is professional and talented. They listen and follow the clients instructions. A couple of weeks ago Meghan cut his hair and did such a great job that I am going to go there and get color and highlights! Love this place!!!!!
