Gage is a BIG waist of time. I was offered a job at a factory that a friend owns. He told me the job is mine I just have to apply and that I would have to go through gage. I went to gage on a Friday at about 2 oclock. they refused to give me paperwork or even talk to me about any positions because I did not have 2 forms of identification. Even though my employer called them to tell them I already have the job he just needs to have the application and other paperwork filled out. they told me and my employer "well thats just not how this works. until you meet all requirements we can not move forward." I really wanted to take care of everything that day so I quickly ran to the social security office to get a new social security card. after sitting at the social security office for an hour or so I rushed back to gage. they finally gave me the 20 some pages worth of paperwork to fill out n I began filling them out. about 15 min into my paperwork (around 3:15 pm) the very tan and very ignorant woman working the front desk told me that I would not be able to be interviewed today because they stop interviews at 4. she told me I would have to come back another day to go through the interview proses. she walked away and I sat there in anger and continued to fill out my paper work. as I was about to finish a different woman walked up to me and asked my name. she went over what company I was applying for, what position and even the pay rate. Then she asked if that was all correct and if thats what I was interested in and I replied yes. she told me I should be expecting a call Monday to schedule an interview. I thanked her, finished my paperwork and left. Monday rolls around and gage calls me. they told me that "theyre sorry but Gage dose not hire for the position that I applied for and that I would have to apply through the company itself and not gage" in the most polite way possible I thanked them for wasting my time and I called the owner of the company I applied for. he told me he didnt know why they told me that and that he would talk to them and call me tomorrow. the next day I got a call from gage around 1 saying that they would like me come in today at 2 for an interview... I was not home at the time so needless to say I gave them a piece of my mind. I asked what changed overnight? how comes now you hire for this position? Told them that I will not be able to come in today because I am out with family. I told them that I will be in tomorrow as soon as they open their doors and that if I have any hassle or do not finish the proses that day I will not be returning and I will never refer gage to anyone. if anything I will go out of my way to make sure everyone I know never goes through gage. I mean for Christ sakes I was already told that I had the job by the owner of the company. gage did not help me get this job. the only thing they are doing is pushing back the day I can finally start due to the fact that they want to be disorganized and ignorant. if you have any plans to apply through gage I would strongly recommend that you reconsider to avoid one big headache.

Prior to my experience with Gage Personnel, I had never worked with an employment agency. What I can honestly say, however, is my experience with Gage was nothing but a positive one! Within hours of sending my resume over to Gage Personnel, I received a phone call from a Kaitlin, who would be my recruiter, asking if I could come in for an interview. During the interview, Kaitlin asked questions about not only my prior work experiences but also my future goals; I immediately felt as if she was working to understand me and what I was looking for in a future position. Finding the right position certainly didn’t happen overnight, but Kaitlin presented a number of options that really coincided with my Marketing background…good things take time. I went on several interviews with various businesses and all the way through, Kaitlin was there to offer interview advice and help me determine the right fit for my long-term professional goals. After accepting a position, Kaitlin continued to keep in contact with me, touching base every couple of weeks, to make sure the position was, in fact, the right fit. She was always prompt to return my calls and emails and answer any questions I had along the way. Though I was unsure whether or not I wanted to work through an employment agency, I quickly realized that my decision to apply with Gage Personnel was the best decision I could make in terms of my professional life. Working with Gage Personnel presented opportunities that I never would have known about otherwise, as I now understand that many employers only hire through employment agencies such as this. Nonetheless, I would recommend, and have recommended, Gage Personnel to anyone searching for a job and/or career. I don’t think I could have found a better team of people to help me find my place in the working-world! -Nichole

Let me start of by saying most employment agencies arent the fun, hip place to be, however, this one to me is as much a waste of time as it could be next to actually being hurtful to finding a job and just a waste of your valuable time and gas money. When you walk in here you will quickly notice just how unimportant and expendable you are. You have your normal crowd of clueless screw ups looking for a job in their baggy jeans, white tees and fitted caps but whats worse is that everyone is lumped in together. That is to say that you have the same chance at getting a job here as someone who doesnt even own a button down shirt, let alone actual skills in a field of work, good work history, work ethic, recommendations etc.. The women at the desk cannot not even be made to have polite conversation before they quickly brush you off to go fill out a small raffle sized ticket that is somehow supposed to embody your skills and value as an employment seeker. The ticket is then shoved into a small box...as if you are playing the lottery for a job. When I asked if they would give me an interview so i could actually have a serious talk with someone of course the answer was - No, just fill out the piece of paper and put it in the box. Well call you if we have anything for you-. Needless to say its all very impersonal and you get a very strong feeling that it doesnt matter if you get a job or not because they have a job already and theyll be fine.

I have been applied through Gage for 5 years. One of many times I went in and asked to apply at deka. They then ignored my request, set me up for an interview, and suggested I try another company. So in desperate need of a job I agreed, for them to call me a week after working at the company to say they were over staffed and my services we no longer needed. For 5 years and many attempts to go through them and their pathetic "hotlist" bull they helped me find a job for a whole week. I must have put myself on their hotlist a thousand times and have yet to ever receive a single call. Their staff is very rude and acts as though your need for employment is unimportant to them since they get paid whether they help you or not. I find it odd that whenever I have seeked employment at other agencies they help right away, Gage just tosses you to the side. Personally feel their company slogan should be along the lines of ".Well get to you when we feel like it".
