Today, I was going to make an appointment here myself... That is, until my Mother told me about the experience she had awhile ago. She went to have her hair done and the girl kept burning her with the blower. She said the girl apologized when she told her that she was burning her, but then didnt change anything and continued to hurt her. When I asked her why she didnt tell her again or tell her teacher, she told me because she was scared that the stylist would yell at her, mess up or hair, or hurt her even worse when the teacher stopped looking. Can you believe that? I mean... Maybe she was just having a bad day, because Mother did say that it felt like there was so much tension between the stylist and her classmates, that you could cut it with a knife. Which in itself... Is actually a really bad thing. But in all honesty... It sounds more like a really bad attitude than it does a "bad day"... I guess it doesnt matter, this is not going to change anything now. I only came on here because I felt it was my duty to be the voice for my Mom, considering she doesnt even know how to turn a computer on. My hope is that this message makes its way back to this girl (or her superior) and that she is capable of being honest enough with herself to make the necessary changes to prevent this from ever happening again! I hope you guys actually read these!

My experience was awful. Student followed every instruction given by his teacher, Ms. Jeanette. This resulted in sitting in a chair for 6.5 hours while the teacher showed the student how to destroy my hair at a rapid pace. After bleaching my hair soo much it was smoking, which the teacher firmed to the student to be normal, my hair had to be dyed twice because it didnt take the first time. It took 45 minutes of waiting for the student to receive the products from the teacher that would soon enough ruin my hair. Teacher was overwhelmed by the volume of students she was looking after. She was ruining all over shouting instructions at students and giving the students dirty looks. Whenever the student who was working on my hair walked away, she would jump in and say he was to slow. I could tell the other students were well aware of what was happening to my hair too. Ms. Jeanette offered me a drink around noon, I got it by 5 which was around the time she sold me products to treat my now fried hair. Now that my hair is fried, I have to receive treatments often to try and fix it. I hate the color too. Yay! Free haircut! Cost me about $50 between the parking meter and the products I now felt I had to buy.

On Monday November 12, 2012 I had the opportunity to participate in The Stroudsburg School of Cosmetologys annual Fashion Show. This year the theme of the show was "Jungle Fever". I was a Hummingbird, I truly enjoyed the preparation for the show and the practices. Although I wasnt afforded the opportunity to work on anyone else in preparation for the fashion show I still had a great time doing it. I didnt expect to get the excellent turn out that we had. it was great fun and good experienceI think that all of the models and their styling teams did and excellent job and I would say they are all winners. I have to give props to the teachers for their excellent help in getting us that far. I would like to thank Miss Jessica, Miss, Nina, & Miss Daniella for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful event. It is great to be able to share what we have learned in the few short weeks we have been attending the school. The show was excellent and I hope be be able to be a part of any future shows the school may have. Kudos to all of the students at Stroudsburg School of Cosmetology and all of the teachers and staff for a show well done. Each and everyone of you are WINNERS!!!

My time at Stroudsburg School of Cosmetology was a great learning experience. I came in as a 17 year old girl, the youngest in my class and in the entire school. I had times when i was immature but being in the school and with my classmates definitely had a positive effect on me. I started my apprentice level with 2 excellent teachers by the name of Ms. Kee and Mrs. Dywonna who instilled in me a confidence that I will carry with me throughout my career. Even though i was not always the perfect student, they remained very patient with me. One of my favorite teachers was Ms. Carmella who is incredibly energetic and kind. With her, I learned many of my coloring and styling skills. My last teacher was Ms. Karen and she was always very honest with me about everything I needed to improve on. Im officially graduating today, at 18 years old, a better person than who I was when I came in and a much better stylist. I also love the directors Mrs. Nena and Mrs. Daniela who I nicknamed the Board of Directors while I was here. They are always willing t work with you and help you out. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy :)

Great way to get an affordable haircut. The stylist you have will be determined based on when you arrive and which student is ready for you first. After greeting you, your student stylist will have a personal consultation with you that will also be reviewed by an instructor before he/she does any hair cutting or coloring. An instructor will also periodically visit your station and check in with your stylist, and the clients (you) are very much a part of the process. Do allow a little more time than you might if you went to a regular salon, because there is a learning curve, but you will receive a cut/style that is decent and likely excellent. I have visited twice in the past 6 months and each time felt very comfortable letting a student do my hair. In fact, I was so pleased with the cut and color done by Stacey during a recent visit that I would continue to go to her regularly if she gets a job in a local salon.

This was my first experience at Stroudsburg Beauty School. From the beginning phone call to the end service results, I was pleased. The students seemed friendly, yet professional. The school is inviting and the atmosphere is comfortable. My student was LaChea. She is a pleasant, soft spoken, professional young lady. LaChea explained the policies and procedures of the school to me. I appreciated that, because I use particular products in my hair. She offered me a choice of their locking products. Thankfully they had the product I actually use. LaChea knows her craft and provides gentle service in a timely fashion. I was pleasantly surprised. I will recommend the school, and for lock re-twist, I definitely recommend LaChea! She is a diamond in the rough and will be a treasure to someone in the future. I wish LaChea and all the students much continued success in their endeavors.

I couldnt be happier with my experience today!! Victoria did an amazing job and my hair came out perfect. She was fun to talk to and her customer service skills were exceptional. Im currently on crutches and she made sure I was comfortable and helped me get around anyway she could. She even stood outside with me till my ride came to make sure I was ok. I went in knowing how I wanted my hair to look and it came out even better!! Victoria did a full head of highlights on my hair and she was very fast and knowlegeable but if she did have a question she didnt hesitate to ask the instructor Gretchen who was also great and very helpful. Im so happy I cant wait to go back in 6 weeks for my touch up!! I will recommend anyone I can to Victoria she was an absolute pleasure. Any company she works for will be lucky she is great!! Sincerely Devon
