I recently discovered Shear Brilliance hair salon and realize why its been rated as the "Best in Poconos Salon" and "Readers Choice Salon"! WOW! My hair was looking very drab and the highlights were really lacking, so I was in need of hair help! The Shear Brilliance team are hair experts, really! They took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and recommended a cut and color that I LOVE!!!!!! I really appreciated their insight and could tell they knew what they were talking about with the hair advice they provided! Even my kids were raving about my hair!! The salon is really nice and they make you feel very comfortable and relaxed. They use up-to-date products and techniques (which is important to me, as I always worry about hair breakage or coming away with a style I dont like). Ive never been to a salon with a color bar to provide the exact color youre seeking. Very cool! They specialize in dimensional and creative color. I went to the salon in Tannersville (right near the Crossings Premium mall) but they also have one in Stroudsburg. It was handy near the mall, as I got to get my hair done and do some shopping too! I made an appointment but they also accept walk-ins. I already booked my next appointment in 6 weeks! Im going to try a facial next time, since I discovered they do skin care too!

Im new to the area and decided to try this place out because they boasts not just the products but PauI Mitchell training. I thought the stylists were very knowledgeable. My stylists did an excellent consultation and she gave me lots of advice when I made comments about what I liked/didnt like about my hair. Ive paid 2-3 times more at other places and received less quality service. This place is SUPER reasonable (prices are on website plus they have a few company discounts). When they wash your hair, they do a little bit of a massage with the conditioner which reminded me of a spa...who wouldnt love it? I think the only very small downside is the wash station is a bit cramped and the place itself could be updated. However at the end of day, I care more about the results and service (which was great).

By far the best salon in the Poconos. The staff is not only knowledgeable but extremely friendly as well. Their prices for products as well as services are reasonable and affordable too. I would and do recommend this salon to any and all my family and friends. The environment in the salon doesnt even make you feel like youre even at a salon, thats how relaxed it is, youll literally feel like youre at home having a friend do your hair.

Ive been going to Shear Brilliance for 6 years now and I always look forward to my next appointment! The staff is wonderful and I can always count on Kirsten for an amazing look! I have long thin hair and magically I always walk out looking like I have more hair than I went in with! The scalp massages are to die for!
