I used Kennihan HVAC and Plumbing services in July and August of 2012. I was extremely pleased with the their level of professionalism and quality work. My entire HVAC system was in dire need of upgrade and replacement and just to throw in a loop I wanted the indoor air handler relocated. Kennihans was able to complete the work exactly the way I had hoped and even exceeded my expectations as far as workmanship with the ducting and cleanliness of the installation. At the same time I wanted to switch from my well to city water service. Once again, Kennihan Plumbing was there. Their work was clean and professional. While installing the HVAC, they found a major issue with my natural gas line, and quickly worked with Columbia Gas to resolve the situation. Did I mention that I am active duty Army, stationed in Fort Knox, KY? They were able to meet with me when I was able to be in the area, very flexible, and went above and beyond to keep me in the loop while the work was being done with calls, emails, and picture messages. Overall, excellent service, and a very high level of professionalism. I would highly recommend them.

Russelton/Curtisville area. Recently had our annual A/C maintenance check by Chad Burr, technician. My A/C system was installed by Kennihans a few years ago and I have enjoyed the benefits of it and the service the Kennihan Company offers. Chad appeared promptly after receiving the courtesy call he was on his way. He introduced himself and had proper identification to be legitimate. Within 40 minutes he had thoroughly inspected and assessed the unit and compressor and completed all the items on his checklist. He explained each point of inspection and what the data/numbers indicated about my system. He offered recommendations and asked for any follow up questions I may have. He kept the worksite and my home clean and even offered the free opportunity for the air quality in the home to be evaluated. I will receive a follow up call sometime soon. Overall a good professional company with exceptional service and quality. Highly recommend to anyone.

I called Kennihans to install my Gas Line. From the first conversation, everything they did was professional. I called other plumbing companies and got nothing but answering services and late night call backs. Kennihans answered the phone and set up the appointment right away. And the best thing was they actually came at the time they set up. I had set up an appointment with another plumber for an estimate, and they never showed up. Finally, when Jerry Kennihan did show up, he gave me a very reasonable quote, explained everything in detail, and was a true professional. We scheduled the service and they showed up on time and did a fantastic job. When they didnt have a part that they thought would come with the Heater I had purchased, Jerry came back on Saturday to finish the job so my daughter could swim over the weekend. Kennihans went the extra mile for me and I would recommend them.

They know their stuff! Great service. Good price. The guys from Kennihans have been a joy to work with! We had a Geothermal System installed by them this spring. It is their goal to treat your house as if it belonged to their grandmother. They always made it a point to work within my schedule as the installation progressed. Every day they would clean up from the days work. The techs were friendly and respectful. Not only was their quote for the project exactly what I paid, but they were able to work with my existing duct work and did not insist that they replace it with their own. Replacement was the only option given by the competitors and this drove the competitions cost up. I am so pleased with our system and I am happy to say I will use then in the future.

I felt Kennihan’s was dishonest throughout the process, did not show a willingness to take responsibility for their mistakes, did not value the customer, and was not concerned about my problems at all. Basically, they were trying to milk a simple problem for all of the money it was worth. They could have simply suggested that we obtain a new faucet setup if the parts were old and unavailable, but that would not have been in their best interest since they wanted us to keep paying them. There are a lot of plumber’s in the Cranberry, Mars, and Valencia area. Just about any one of them would probably be better than Kennihan’s. I suggest that whoever is reading this review would be better off using their services.

Wow... how disappointing ~ these people were supposed to show up to do an insulation job and never showed. There wasnt even a courtesy call to let us know he was cancelling - even if it was last minute a call would have been more professional and courteous. When we called and asked what happened, and why they didnt keep the appointment, the owner was arrogant and standoffish and said something about he forgot a family member had an event. He was not all all polite, didnt offer an apology, and didnt seem to care that he had wasted a lot of our time. They got one star because there is nothing lower. Save yourself from waiting for a no-show; call someone else.

What a professional and likeable young man. Chad first made a genuine effort to communicate with my very hard of hearing mother. As I watched from inside both of them were smiling. It made my heart feel good as most people give up trying to communicate with someone who is hearing challenged. Once outside Chad introduced himself to me and immediately shook my hand. He was immaculate in appearance and looked you directly in the eye when he spoke. His work was thorough and he took the time to explain exactly what he had done. He was considerate, respectful, and cheerful. Chad would be a valuable asset to any company. I wish him the best.

Mr. Kennihan came to give us an estimate. He was very informative and nice. Problem was that we didnt hear anything back after his visit. Said he would email and estimate and other info. Never receive anything. Called in to see if we maybe just got overlooked. Woman on the phone said he was out of town until Monday and that he would contact us. Its now Friday and still nothing. If this is the type of service you get when you are trying to buy a new air conditioner, I would hate to see the response if you had an issue. Very disappointing. We will be buying from somewhere else.

Our experience with Kennihan’s Plumbing and Heating was great. Started with furnace trouble, Jerry and Zach were on time, clearly explained the problem, and outlined our options so that we were able to make the right choice for our situation. We chose to do a quick repair, but with the age of our furnace and AC new it was time to replace. They gave us options and we went with the middle option, not the cheapest, but not the top of the line model, and felt the charges were reasonable. We will definitely use Kennihan’s in the future for any HVAC needs that arise.

Chad was personable, pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable, and worked skillfully to install & repair air cleaner components on my furnace.
