I rent in a duplex & after calling my landlord about the problem, who is in Pennsylvania doing some kind of renovations, I called Sam Jolley Plumbing & spoke with Eileen Metz on the phone. Im already upset because pipes are broken & sewage is leaking in the back yard & I tell her that I heard about a camera they use to look in the pipes. I asked her how much that is & she says its $600.00. I said wow & she snickers at me & says "yeah" very sarcastically. She goes through a little speech saying they probably wont be able to come out same day being that its Monday & they have the emergencies to handle that came up over the weekend & then regular work orders for that day. She said they would call & let me know. I asked when they would call me because if they cant make it out today I need to know then she says they will call me 15 minutes before they come. I said, so someone is coming today & then she says yes between 1 & 3. All of that in the same sentence between laughing sarcastically because Im trying to get someone to come out the same day, first saying they probably couldnt come then saying theyll be there between 1-3. OK, fine. Sarcastic attitude aside someone is going to come so thats whats important right now, we hang up. I went next door to tell my neighbor, who is also having issues, that they will be there between 1 and 3. I get back to my appartment & get a text saying that someone is going to come between 2 & 4 so I walk back to my neighbors & tell her this new time. She needs to know because she has to come home from work to let them in her back yard. I get a call at 12:43 from the plumber saying hes outside. I go out & tell him that his office said he wouldnt be there until at least 2 & he says "well Im here now". I said "well you can look in my backyard but my neighbor isnt going to be home until 2 when they said you would be here". I show him around & tell him whats going on, that everything is ok inside, its the sewage in the backyard. I give him my landlords # because he wants to know exactly what he wants done. The kid comes back to me & says my landlord said not to do anything. Im totally stumped because my landlord is the one who said call the plumber & have it repaired. I try calling my landlord but no answer. I get him the next morning & asked what happened & he said the kid told him everything was working so he told him not to do anything. One thing to note is my landlord is in his 70s so the way the kid spoke probably got him confused, but I explained to him about the sewage in back again & he said to call him back out. Dreading this call to no end I decide to try to avoid Mrs. Customer Service and contact the plumber directly & told him about the mixup. He said OK & he would give his office the landlords # so they can explain what needs to be done. Of course it couldnt be that simple because a few minutes later I get a call from...you guessed it. Mrs. Eileen Metz starts right away saying very forcfully, " Mrs. Dunn I cant authorize my plumbers to do any work at your place. Your landlord doesnt want any work done". I said, " Didnt Michael tell you that I already spoke with my landlord and he said.." and she cuts me off and says that they cant do any work there & my landlord said he was going to do the work when he comes back from vacation. I said " well hes not on vacation, he had some renovation thing to do in Pennsylvania and wont be back for awhile". She starts cutting me off again saying very sarcastically & slowly as if that would make me understand her better that, "Its semantics Mrs. Dunn, Its semantics". So instead of calling my landlord to get the story straight she calls me to be nasty. She just lost that company a very big payment because the kid was going to have to repair 3 broken pipes. I told her she should not talk to customers the way she has been talking to me. She says very loudly "You have a nice day" & hangs up. Shes just a very nasty person and should not be handling customers at all.

Terrible experience. This senior citizen was gouged and and overpaid by $230. The job took 2.5 hours and the parts cost $80. Their hourly rate is $100/hr. I should have paid $330 instead, I was charged $560. I was told that it would be LESS expensive to do the job at the set rate of $560 as there would be at least 4 hours of work.. This was a complete lie. The job could have easily been done in 2 hours but the plumber took his time and finished in 2.5 hours - still 1.5 hours sooner than I was told it would take. I feel this plumber was dishonest and overcharged. AVOID SAM JOLLEY PLUMBING

Ive used this company at my rental property for a number of years now. Most of their plumbers do a good job and the office keeps a close eye on them and requires them to be honest and thorough. Today we had a particularly difficult water heater installation and the supervisor Gene showed up to help the technician. Not many plumbing companies would go that far.

Great Company to deal with. They have always worked with our office . And have pulled off major miracles at the last minute and saved our office down time and rescheduled patients . Would not use anyone else
