Hate is such a strong word hence why I didnt give it 1 star. It took me a long time to write this review, but I have finally gotten around to it. I definitely disliked my experience. The office staff was great when I first started out, however after a few months of not being at my unit and returning to a unit that was drenched and filled with mold on the bottom of my boxes... Id have to say my opinion about the staff and the facility became negative. Imagine going back to your unit after a couple months and the floor is drenched, the cardboard boxes have retained water, and theres mold growing on my items & the boxes. Apparently there were "newer"units that havent had that problem. Well why would you put me in a unit that has had problems? Also, once this situation happened I received NO sort of refund and I also received NO other options. They basically were okay with messing up my items and letting me go on my merry way. I know how customer service works. So after this happened I sent an email to the manager seeing if there could be some sort of way to keep an amicable relationship. I received no response to my email NOR did I get any type of concern in regards to what happened to my unit. I do not recommend coming here.

Horrible. Paid the premium for temperature control - emptied my unit a few years later- wooden furniture was covered in mold, the ceiling was crumbling apart all over my furniture. "Temperature control" was one tiny air duct in the hallway at the other end of the building. Managements only response was I should have purchased their insurance (which I was told at the time I didnt need b/c it was covered under my own insurance). Would strongly advise not to use Boot Road Self Storage for any long-term storage needs.
