Sentinel Self Storage N. Dover location February 23, 2011 RE : S T O R A G E U N I T H I S T O R Y A N D R E V I E W Dear Sentinel : We are a rental storage unit customer with you since November 2010. We rent one of your larger units at the north Dover facility. We have other self-storage units in both Dover and in Wilmington. In our travels up and down the state we were attracted to your storage business because of several necessitating factors, primarily; the geographic proximity to our storage needs in Dover, the physical location of your business adjacent to our primary route of travel, unit size and availability, and the free use of a box truck. A year or two prior we purchased several corrugated boxes from this station. A new and clean office staffed with capable people helped lay the ground work for today’s tenancy. We often access our unit after hours and, because of video monitoring - as advertised - we are assured security of property and of person. Once at tenant status, your staff has arranged with us for credit card unit rent payments by phone. For ease, similar payments “on line” have been suggested. The honest interest your staff, namely Barbara and Charlotte, portrays in our business ventures is reminiscent of the way businesses used to operate, namely in a friendly, competent, professional manner, a trait all too often sacrificed and lost in business down sizing and minimizing. Consequently, we would much rather support and direct our needs toward a professionally run business like yours than towards those hiring minimum wage, non-caring employees who typically send and receive text messages while at work, and one who conforms to, supports and even promotes the latest body decoratings and maimings as acceptable. There are a lot of self-storage rental businesses in and around Dover, some within walking distance of our home. We have rented trucks from such businesses with nary a problem or confronting issue. The advertising monies you have spent at this location to attract traveling prospects worked with us. And, as it is uncertain to us whether or not your staff shares ownership in this self-storage business venture, the personal attention we continue to receive shows they have a similarly vested concern in their careers, characteristically a rarely found attribute with hourly hires. Congratulations! With this mix, you will continue to do well.

If you want your stuff to be safe and secure at a very reasonable price, Sentinel North Dover Self Storage is the right place for you. As a college student, I do not want to lug my stuff from my dorm to NY during school breaks and vacation. So, I went to Dover self storage on RT. 1 and even though they was pretty good, they werent the best. But with professionals like Miss Charlotte, a patience and respectful woman, receiving a storage unit and paying bills was easy and takes mere minutes to do. Also I like to stress the simple fact that the storage units are clean and pest-free which is very important considering that amount of stuff that could be put inside of the storage unit and may become very cluttered. Only downside ,to me it was a small problem, are the operational hours. Before 6am and after 9pm you cant get inside which is good but not convenient for people who move during the night but make sense to make sure no one gets onto the property when there is no manager or supervisor present. Anyway, this storage location to my opinion is one of the best in Dover and probably in Delaware and is highly recommended it if you want a stressful and welcoming environment and to mention clean.

The service and accommodations here are amazing! We are a military family, stationed here in Dover, and my husband has recently deployed. It was our best option for me and the baby to stay with family while he is away, so we needed storage, and quick! I called Sentinel and spoke with the sweetest woman I think I’ve ever met, "Granny", who was very knowledgeable, considerate, and sensitive to our familys situation. Sentinel storage was accommodating in every way, we were able to choose from a variety of unit sizes with climate control options, they were flexible with our move-in date, and provided us with complementary use of a moving truck (which was incredibly helpful!). From the standpoint of a military family, we would recommend this facility to any individual or family who is in need of storage short or long term! Thanks Sentinel!

We have been costomers for just over a year now after moving to the area from out of state and temporarily down sizing. We chose Sentinel North Dover because of their availability of large, climate controlled units and outstanding customer service. I knew after talking with Ms. Charlotte over the phone for the first time that our belongings would be safe in a well maintained facility and that we would experience outstanding customer service. Ms. Charlotte and the rest of the office staff are delightful, personable, and caring. They go out of their way to assist both new and old customers. We have been consistently very pleased with our choice of Sentiel North Dover and highly recommend the facility to others.

I arrived at another storage location after a 6 hr drive and was told they did not have a unit the size that I was promised and could not or would not recommend another storage facility. It was Sentinel Self Storage of North Dover and Ms Charlotte to the rescue. She assured that she could accommodate our needs. She even said if I couldnt make it by 6 (the normal closing time for the office) she would stay late to set things up for me. She gave us a choice of units and even recommended things I would not have thought of like putting plastic down on the floor and leaving an open bag of charcoal in the unit to absorb the moisture. I would recommend this storage facility to anyone. Ms Charlotte is the BEST!!!

I have had the best experience with Sentinel Self Storage and Ive stored tons of stuff. Starting the process was a pleasant experience and I was surprised by the tips given to me by Miss Charlotte and her staff. At other places Ive stored at I have not been helped in such a thoughtful manner before. If I have any questions or concerns, all I have to do is pick up the phone to call and Miss Charlotte is able to answer EVERY question I have with confidence. I feel better that my belongings are stored here and that my questions can be answered in a timely manner. I recommend Sentinel Self Storage to everyone who will listen. Thanks to you all!

I have moved around a few times in my life and so storage facilities are not new to me, but never before have I ever had a facility so pleasant and professional. Its kept clean, people are pleasant and helpful, but, the greatest asset at Sentinel North Dover is Charlotte, the manager. My wife and I sometimes stop not to go to our unit but to see and talk to Charlotte and were not the only ones that feel this way. Often time we have to stand in line to say a word. Heaven must be missing an angel cause shes here on earth. As long as we need a storage unit well be at Sentinel. As long as Charlotte is there well be stopping at Sentinel.
