This gym is your average gym there is one thing that sets it aside and thats there fitness trainor Shannon Hammett. She is amazing in that she is there to help whenever and always with a smile when doing her session even though there are four to five people in them she caters to everyones unique needs and helps you get through your session. I however am VERY UNsatisfied with the Director of Operations Chris who is very ignroant and has the personalitly of the standard corperate american who thinks just because they have a fancy title on there badge they are comparable to god himself. Recently at this gym location I watched him speak VERY condescending to Shannon and some other gym members in front of everyone! I find this way of supervision to be disgraceful. Correction of employees SHOULD ONLY be done in private settings. When I approached Chris about this manor he began to treat me as if my needs were not important and that is I was unsatisfied I should find another gym. Where in America did we forget the respect behind a business attitude in that a customer is always right??? This disargreement really came down to me not being aloud to bring a mat into the 30 minute training area during my session to do push ups on so that my hands and knee were not on a hard surface....mind you the gym was not busy at the time and these mats where not being used by anyone else. So yes this "man" if thats what we shall call him refused to let me use this mat in a "Judge-free" zone!!!! I am so disgusted with the way this "Director of Operations" handles operations. I would love to speak to someone higher them him but am having difficulties locating there numbers. If you want to work with an amazing individual who will not judge you and will help you shape your body and muscles though please see Shannon her talent should not be over shadowed by some tool with a badge!

I have had so many problems with this gym membership that I would never recommend Planet Fitness to anyone. I called and cancelled my membership in late June of 2011. I found out that I was pregnant and was told too much activity wasnt good for my baby. So when I was forwarded mail from Planet fitness from my previous address in York, PA I saw that my membership had NOT been cancelled. I called the gym and spoke with someone named Samantha who told me I had to come into the gym OR send a certified letter(not what I was told before when i cancelled my membership). She could not give me the information I needed and instead of giving me the corp. phone # I asked for, I was told to get it off Google. I called the corp. headquarters and was told I needed to speak to the gym manager(Why Samantha didnt tell me this I have no idea). So I am still waiting to hear about the $200++ bill that shouldnt have been billed in the first place. Needless to say I will never do business with Planet Fitness again, and would highly recommend Golds Gym for future gymming purpouses ;)

This is a great gym. My husband and I have been going to this gym for the last 4 months now and we love it. The staff is curtious, the place is kept very clean, and its such a great deal. I have never had a problem at this gym. I love the fact that I can tan too! They have 5 beds, and they a pretty decent. The only thong that I could possibly say negative is that some times there is a tread mill not workong. (They have a bunch so its never a problem.) Oh, and they have a bunch of machines to pin point certain areas of your baody you want to work out (I love tihs) and the 30 min. Express area is great!

Average experience here. Way too small for this town. West York is setup better. Very crowded during peek hours and hard to get a bench sometimes. Good for keeping a simple workout but, no exercise balls is very odd for any gym. I think worrying about if you breath too hard or drop a weight is going to get you reprimanded is kind of juvenile. Lighten up PF.

Very courteous staff. Friendly and helpful. They have excellent full body exercise programs that are free to attend for members. All of these programs are directed by a certified fitness instructor who is also very friendly and helpful. The "Design your own Program" with their fitness instructor is no joke! Its pretty serious and directed at you!

After attending this gym with a friend I was interested in joining, unfortunately they require access to your checking account in order to give you a membership. After hearing several complaints about billing issues I am not comfortable doing that. Ill consider joining when they change this policy.

Moved from MD to Pa was looking for a good home club to transfer to..the staff are friendly and the club is clean. They were also very friendly and accomodating to my daughter who was visiting. THANK U...I will be making this my new home club.

Being from out of town and gone to a few PF, this facility and the other one in West York are overcrowded. You cant use to the machines comfortable because you have people actually waiting next to you to finish your set. So uncomfortable

Great gym great price but they need to do something about the people who sit on a machine for 20 minutes on their phones. Also they need another one of the twisting machines near the pull up machine. Its always busy.
