I have a great deal of complaints about Planet Fitness. Okay, you cant beat their low monthly fee but other than that......... They have a no cell phone rule. I understand the concept. They think its disruptive to fellow gym goers. However, every single person in the establishment is wearing their own set of headphones, listening to their own music, and cannot hear the person on the phone who probably is squeezing in a workout and has to take an important business call or who may have a sick father in the hospital like me. Thats how I feel. I do not care if someone else is on the phone. I certainly dont think anyone else should care if I am. I could understand if it was a quiet place like a library but its not. One time a group of ladies was working out, talking, and laughing and a Planet Fitness associate actually told a woman not to laugh so loudly. Way to ruin the lovely time that woman was having. I personally think that the associate telling people to get off their phones or not to laugh is more disruptive than anything else. They have a "Glunk Alarm" I think its called. Any time someone drops a weight an employee sets off this loud siren. THAT IS DISRUPTIVE. You are worried about my quiet phone call that no one can hear anyway? Or the weight that was dropped on the rubber floor that no one heard or cared about??? Who came up with these ridiculous rules? They make me feel like a child in school. Their Satellite TV goes out every time it rains. The employees seem insincere and arent very knowledgeable. Their greetings seem fake and I would prefer them not to say anything at all. Purple and yellow? Not soothing. The gym is ugly. The traffic light is stupid and no one pays attention to it. Needless to say, I have cancelled my membership. The only good thing about the place is the price.

I love Planet Fitness! I have a full time job as a Social Worker and go to school at night so the fact that they are open 24 hours is a huge plus for me! My.job is centrally located in Pittsburgh and what makes life even better is that wherever I go I can find a Planet Fitness to workout at so I can keep up with my workouts even when I am away from home- thanks to being a black card member - when I go away for vacation I get to hit the local Planet Fitness in those areas as well - so Planet Fitness is amazing and has been working out for me very well! Lastly, the staff are wonderful and always, wherever I am, they greet me with a smile! Especially Zac at the Cumberland, Maryland location!

Super friendly staff. I am always amazed how they can remember everyones name. Jordan not only runs the place, I constantly see him on the ground scrubbing it down. Alex is always coming up with new and exciting training regimens, the guy knows his stuff. Heather, Nick and Allen never seem to have a bad day and are always eager to help or get me motivated. There are bigger and fancier gyms out there, but none make you feel as welcome as this one

Pretty clean facility with friendly staff. The crowd that frequents the place are generally courteous and will clean up the machines after use, with a few exceptions. There are a few people that hog machines, going between three different machines and cop attitudes when you decide to take one instead of waiting. The music is often very loud.

Beware of late fees that youre not informed about but keep adding up. Went to the Pawtucket one and they claimed that because I didnt go to them as often they didnt tell me of the late fees. However I did go once and they didnt inform me then when I checked in. Then you end up paying double a month what you signed up for.

One of my fav planet fitness spots. They really could use a new water fountain.. water tastes weird to me. I try and fill up my bottle before getting here. Also treadmills break down often. Otherwise, nice lockerroom and equipment and weights.

Friendly staff. Members wipe down the equipment they use after each use without being reminded. I was never told about a no cell phone rule and have had to take a call on occasion with no complaints from anyone. Great facility.

Good gym for beginners with good amount of equipments. Price is also reasonable. Sometimes you will find it crowded that you wont get any machines to work out on.

Staff is friendly, but the equipment is minimal. If you just want to stay fit and not so much focused on building size this is the place for you.
