Buckle in for my story with A1 Auto Body. Its not too interesting but its disappointing and weird. I got in a minor car accident a couple months ago and needed some repairs. The place was chosen by the insurance of the person who hit my car. Immediately, it was clear that the office staff was too frazzled to deal with me; they handed me someone elses documents, had me run back and forth to my car to get things for them instead of just doing it when I left, etc. (They did, however, give me a cool pen.) I assumed I caught them at a busy time (they had just 2 customers there, including me) and I cant hold that against people, so I didnt care at all. It soon became clear that this is simply the least organized and professional business Ive seen in a long time! I made an appointment (at a specific time/day) to drop off my car, and asked how long this would probably take. They said they wouldnt even *look* at it for a few days (to give an estimate of how long repairs would take). It probably would have taken minutes to look at what the problem was (a really general ballpark guess would have worked too) but it took several days to even start looking, and Im not sure why I needed an appointment in the first place if they werent even going near the car for days afterwards. Just... strange, and inefficient. I called often for updates, since it was taking longer than I expected, but nobody seemed to know what was going on. In fact, I was met with bizarre rudeness. Once, I called asking for the status of the repairs, and the woman simply said "Im sorry, my brain is in like a million places right now, Ill just call you back", hung up, and didnt call me back. Another time, I called with a question, the woman on the phone said shed call me back, and didnt- I called again, she said she forgot. Eventually I was told my car would finally be ready that evening or early the following morning, and so that morning I called again to ask about the status. The woman on the phone said they were cleaning the car, so I asked, "When will it be ready?" She said, sarcastically, as if I were annoying her: "Uh, when theyre done." It was like a middle-schooler being intentionally dismissive and sarcastic for the purpose of just being a jerk! What??? Finally I got someone to give me a vague estimate so I could plan to come get my car, and I was told Id get a call at that time to say it was ready. Well, that time came and went and I wasnt contacted, so I called them myself, yet again. The woman who answered the phone again was clearly pissed that I was calling, and snapped at me that "I already told you that someone would call" and so on (nobody had). Its quite uncomfortable when theres such a bizarrely angry person on the other line. I dont think I was being very difficult, but I felt like I was asking too much for just wanting to know the status of my vehicle when no one was telling me. Eventually I somehow got them to tell me the new, much later, projected time. I showed up to complete a small additional payment and get the car (the same woman from the phone told me she couldnt accept my method of payment, but when I asked someone else, they confirmed that indeed they could accept it. Disorganized and weird but I was able to pay and get the hell out of there). Also, it took around 6 weeks when there wasnt much damage to begin with, which seemed like quite a long time. To be fair, they had to order a part, and its possible thats what took an unusually long time. The car seems fine, and clean, which is nice. No complaints there. The business is clearly very disorganized and unprofessional. Im not one to complain about service usually, but this was pretty terrible service. It was quite uncomfortable and annoying to deal with the people I spoke to. The good news is that they actually did the job and fixed the car.

I bought a new truck and parked it at a friends on street overnight. The truck got rear ended while I was sleeping and the driver didnt stop and left the scene for me to find in the mornin when I woke up. I brought my truck to A1 because my Dad has had a truck repaired here and it came out brand new. It took me over a month to get my truck back because of the extent of damages and new parts. When I got my truck back it was cleaner on the inside and outside than when I picked it up new at the dealer. Also the truck looked like the day I drove it off the lot, the damage is beautifully fixed and that is what these guys do. Bring a brand new truck bank without you ever being able to tell it was worked on. Thank you so much A1, you saved me money, did an amazing job and your staff was wonderful. The receptionist Kayla that I dealt with was professional, very friendly and would always call me before my insurance. Just on top of it no slacking here. Thanks again A1 Im so happy to have my truck back in perfect condition

Experience and results couldnt be better. My Audi had front end damage where a bunch of it was hidden from the initial estimate. To make things worse, I was a relatively new customer to Esurance. Esurance directed me to a facility for the initial estimate. Once I had it done it was posted on Esurances web site right away. I printed it and went to A1 Custom Auto Body. They gave me a completely different description of what had to be done. Esurance was terrific and made it clear that I could take my car wherever I felt the most comfortable. A1 worked with the adjuster sent to look at the car once the front end was taken apart and they came up with the same repair plan. My car went in and was finished on time and looks better than showroom. A1 Custom Auto Body is a first class facility run by first class people. My hats off to Mark Thomson!!!

Best Auto Body service I have ever received. Superior workmanship and impeccable service. Went above and beyond what I asked to be done. My windshield wiper arms on my 2008 Impala (was being repaired for rear end damage) were weathered and peeling and were painted without my asking at no charge! I was extremely impressed with my vehicle when returned to me and it looked better than when I first bought it!

A1 is a first-class operation. The staff is well organized, the work was completed when they promised it would be and the workmanship was perfect. They have completed two major repairs for us on two separate vehicles and both experiences were perfect. Its easy to see after touring the facility and speaking to the staff there why they are so busy!
