My daughter has been attending RGA since she was 2 years old. When she first started she was very shy and really wanted nothing to do with the classes. My wife and I actually had to sit in the classes with her because she refused to participate in any of the activities unless we were next to her. The staff did a phenomenal job of working with my daughter and getting her to come out of her shell. Now, four years later she is on their competition team, doing great and loves gymnastics and loves her coaches. We cant wait to see what she will accomplish here in the future. Regarding the review about open play. I do not think the person fully understood what "Open Play" is. Think of it as taking your kids to Chuck E Cheese or Monkey Joes. The workers are there to enforce rules. These are not instructional periods. Depending on the age group, the parents do stay and watch their children. For the older age groups the children are free to practice and play on whatever equipment they wish. But again these are not actual classes, but are a great way to introduce your child to RGA, or just give them a place to blow off some steam for a few hours.

We held my sons 6th birthday party here. We had fourteen children in attendance and the staff was phenomenal. They had the party room fully prepared by the time my husband and I arrived, (about one hour BEFORE the event) and they took care of serving all of the children and making sure that they had enough to eat and drink. They kept the children fully engaged in all of the gymnastics activities. There were obstacle courses, a trampoline, a foam pit, balance beam, uneven bars, and rings. The children just LOVED it and so did all of the parents. The staff took care of all of the decorations for the party room and all of the activities for the children from the time the party began, until it ended. The only thing we took care of was ordering the pizza to be delivered, bringing the birthday cake, and bringing a few things for the adults to snack on as we watched our children enjoying themselves. The adults just sat back and watched the fun. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a birthday party. Great Experience!

My daughter has been going here now for 2 years great place. IT NEVER smells like a gym its very clean and the staff is super friendly. For those who dont know what open play is, its when kids run around play and use there imagination. There are staff there but they are more like monitors who sometime push or help kids when they need some assistance. My daughter also goes here for beginner gymnastics.. Its been great, her teacher Lauren is very patient yet stern which my wife and I love. We look forward to re in rolling her.

My friends and I refer to this place as Stinky Gym. The smell could nock you over. I agree with other reviewers, the employees are mostly non-engaged during open gym. And there are SO MANY rules, many of which Im sure are for safety. But it bothers me that youre not allowed to take pictures of your own children. What are they hiding? Its also incredibly expensive. More than a membership to the Childrens Museum or Roger Williams Zoo. Were not going back. My son had a great time, though. Thats why it gets more than one star.

Recently started taking my two year old son here, and its great! The staff is friendly, and my son has a wonderful time running around like a nut: jumping on the trampoline, playing with the balls, climbing the mats, walking (with my assistance) on the balance beam, etc. He also loves the quiet play area in reception with the toys, and is content to play there for an additional half hour after the gym. Best $20 Ive spent in a long time!

I took my 2 sons , 3 yrs. and 1.5 yrs. for the open play, it was only $10 a child for 2 hours, my kids loved it, everything was padded so that was good... but it was very small and the equipment was very old and worn out, the teacher did not play or really show any interest in the children. I was showing my kids what to do the whole time I dont think I will bring my kids there again, I will try somewhere else.
