I am eight months pregnant and went in just to have my ends evened up a bit. The woman took my name and seemed pleasant. As I said I am eight months pregnant and I am suffering from dry skin and hair (this sometimes comes with the territory). Anyhow, the stylist took me to the sink and asked if I wanted a wash. I said yes of course. She washed my hair and then after applying conditioner started ripping my hair out with her fingers very violently. My eyes were watering and my hair was washed and conditioned in under one minute. She led me to the chair by my hair and I nearly fell over. My five year old was watching the entire event quietly. The stylist Then took a comb and brushed my hair halfway out all the way around my head and informed me that she could not comb it any more. She told me I had to cut off over four inches. I said No thankyou I will comb that out if you cant. So she got mad and violently combed it out an additional inch and a half all the way around. She said well that is all I can do. I said no thanks, I will just brush it. So she ripped through the rest of my hair quickly and I almost got up and left, but my daughter was watching. The hair dresser asked if I wanted her hair cut as well and I proudly told her it has never been cut. Her hair is long and has ringlet curls halfway down her back. She said well it doesnt hurt (physically) ya know. She said this with an attitude. I said can you just even up the ends a bit. Please dont take any length. She snipped a few strands and then half blow dryed my hair to the most frizzy unstyled hair do I have ever been given in mylife. She said $20.00 so I handed her my card. She gave me the tip reciept to fill out (which I didnt want to) and I reluctantly put $3.00 on it. I handed it back to her and she wouldnt make eye contact with me or give me back my reciept. She never looked up at my daughter or myself to say bye or anything. So I left to go to another salon for my mani-pedi and to have my hair cut. I still do not have a reciept and now have to watch my bank account. NEVER GO HERE. The stlyist had dark brown hair with a medium/short length. I didnt catch her name, and I have no reciept to look at.

About an hour ago I wrote a bad review about this salons bad service. A few minutes ago, I recieved a facebook message from someone involved in this company stating..."Really you apparently have nothing better to do then send me messages rude as can be. I dont think the salon would enjoy you as a customer so please feel free to spend precious minutes of your life putting up bad reviews. Unfortunately for you Ill be posting these messages in our reviews and showing just who you are and how you behave, now please, I asked you to contact our manager during business hours. She actually has a life enjoying her children and family." She ended by sending a smiley face with a tongue sticking out and saying "I am positive the owner shares my opinion. We have been in business for 30 years and have 30 year customers. Your opinion is not needed and at this point is not needed."

Professional and friendly atmosphere. I have been searching for a hair stylist to have as my consistent "go-to" person for my haircuts, and I found her at family hair salon. After consistent subpar cuts at the supercuts of the world, it was nice to sit down and have a professional, thorough haircut. Finally! Five stars.
