This review is going to cover 2 main aspects of our experience with RIKB. Firstly the design and build experience in May/June 2013 was very good. Prudence, our designer, was excellent, and did a great job with our design. However, her initial estimate of the cost of the kitchen project was significantly off from the final cost (about 25%); while some of the difference had to do with items we choose to go with (eg, tile and cabinets), it was disappointing we ended up paying so much more, esp since it was hard to go back once the design plans were well underway. The job itself was done very well by our project manager, Jim. He did very good work, updated us well, and the job was completed basically on schedule, (maybe a couple days after their projected completion date) which was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen looked great when it was completed, and we loved it. However, some issues have arisen since the job was done. We have had issues with our painted wood cabinets chipping and showing some wear and tear after only a few months. They came out and fixed the issue once but it continues. As we understand now, these types of cabinets are more prone to do this, BUT that should have been explained better as we were making our choices. To their credit, they just had a representative from the cabinet company come out to look things over and hopefully provide a remedy, but we will see what happens. I should point out that there are no kids or pets banging up against these cabinets! More significantly, we began having issues with 3 of the doors involved in the project. They sent one of their finish carpenters, Richard, to address/fix the issues. Basically, he mostly poo-pooed the concerns, made excuses, and only "fixed" one issue by putting a wood shim over our espresso tile--a very unprofessional looking "solution". After my wife made an appropriately big fuss on their facebook page, our designer, their quality control manager, and their president contacted me. Jim, our original project manager, and the quality control manager did come out a few days later, and were able to remedy/fix what the other guy said was not an issue! they still have some other things to remedy, but hopefully will be out soon to take care of these other issues, as well they should given their 5 year warranty on their work. In sum, very good design/build experience, though you definitely pay a higher price. However, some quality issues after the job was done, which they are trying to remedy, but it should not have taken the angst it took to get these issues addressed.

We should like to take this opportunity to thank RIKB for their hard work and professionalism in our recent kitchen remodel. Our original idea was to replace our countertops but we decided to go further with a pull and replace of cabinets and counters. Our designer, Sabrina O’Meara is a true professional. She took time to get to know us and could determine our style and make recommendations based on what she gleaned and she was spot on each and every time. We are more than pleased with her insight and guidance to get our kitchen updated. She has a wonderful personality and it was fun to work with her. Special thanks to our Project Manager, Jim LaBonte who was on site every day, always on time, extremely knowledgeable, and personable and I agree that he should be cloned. Thanks also to Rich Kingsbury for his hard work. He and Jim made flawless modifications to our cabinet in order to fit our new wall oven. He also has great taste in music. All of the contractors (electricians, painter/plasterers, tile installers, plumbers, countertop specialists) were a pleasure to work with and they all left the site clean. I highly recommend RIKB without any hesitation whatsoever and will certainly use them again for our next project, which will be a master bath rehab.

In the fall of 2014, we had our kitchen entirely redesigned and rebuilt by the talented professionals of Rhode Island Kitchen & Bath. All of the decisions we made from the choice of hardwood floors, to the custom cabinets, to the stunning quartzite counter tops were ours, but chosen from carefully selected presentations by designer Lynne Shore. With her guidance, it was virtually impossible to make a wrong choice. After just a few consultations at the RIKB showroom and visits to our home, Lynne was able to artfully assess our lifestyle and guide the creative process in a complementary direction. The RIKB teams superb project management ensured that the project started and finished on time and most importantly on budget. All of the craftsmen who worked in our home during this project were highly professional and highly skilled. We now have a beautiful kitchen of which we are immensely proud. There are not enough positive superlatives to describe our experience with Rhode Island Kitchen & Bath. Thank you Lynne Shore and the entire RIKB team!

I had my kitchen remodeled by RIKB. I was more than satisfied with the results. All the workers were pleasant and easy to talk to or to discuss concerns I may have had during the work. The work was done in the summer and I had my 2 grandchildren and a new puppy here during the work and the worker just took all the added activity in stride. I worked with Donna Singleton and it was not only pleasant but fun. She was a delight as were the worker. The final result was more than I could have imagined. I am very happy and enjoy intertaining in my new kitchen. Two things that have been really happy with are the stackable washer and dryer on the same level with my other room. So much easier. The other thing is the "doggy door". Took awhile for the dog to figure it out but it is wonderful. I did forget that in the new design I had a mud room and closet added. What a plus. When people ask me who did my kitchen I tell them RIKB. It was well worth the time and money. My thanks to all of the great people who I had in the remodeling.

This was our second occasion to use Rhode Island Kitchen and Bath. Both were involved with removing older fiberglass shower/tub enclosures. The first was done in April 2006 and the latest was complete on March 21, 2012. We were so pleased with the first job that we never hesitated or looked elsewhere for the most recent work. If anything RI Kitchen and Bath has gotten better! Although both jobs were big for us, they were relatively small by general standards. Yet we were treated with the care and attention one might expect from a big, much more expensive job. The nature of the installation carries with it some mess from removing of the old structure. Jim the installer for our most recent undertaking, was meticulous and a craftsmen. Beyond that he was a great guy. All of the folks we dealt with exhibited the professionalism and genuine concern very few companies know how to provide these days. Charlestown, RI

November 18, 2013 Dear Steve and Everyone at RIKB, Yet another RIKB project has been completed at our home. Each time work is completed I am left as a totally satisfied customer. The Workers routinely come in having total respect for keeping the surroundings neat, clean, and safe from any incidental scrapes or bumps. It is comforting to know that any work, whether it is an entire room or a smaller job, customers can always look forward to the most professional attention. This most recent renovation was my sixth experience with RIKB. In each case the work has exceeded my expectations. Thank you all at RIKB for the excellent work that you do. Sincerely, Shirley Ventrone
