I spent $1505.57 on three visits. All three visits were for my engine running hot. It has been a little over a month and I just spent $2500 to replace the cylinder head gaskets, by a Subaru dealership,, because my car was ONCE AGAIN running hot. Also, the second and third visit I told them it had a rough idle. Both times they kept just guessing at what it could be. I spent $423 within a week after bringing my car their for the last time because I knew the rough idle was an issue. The mechanic I brought it to diagnosed the rough idle and found out it was a bad coil pack. This was replaced by them and the rough idle was fixed. I also gave the second mechanic all my receipts and asked them to check the work that was done to my car. On the first visit to Complete Car Care, they gave me a tune-up, and one thing that was replaced was my spark plugs. The mechanic was able to unscrew my spark plugs with his fingers. The second mechanic was BBB accredited, while they are not. The other BIG issue I have is that I received a call on my third visit stating my Water Pump was bad and it would cost me $1300 to replace that and the timing belt. I called around for quotes because at this point I was uneasy and everyone else quoted around $700 for the same work. After arguing and threatening to report them to the BBB, he dropped the price to around $324, called and assured me that my timing belt looked okay. Surprise, I had my timing belt replaced with my head gaskets because it was fraying and at this point had them show me. I have also since priced all of their work out and parts and everything was significantly more expensive coming from them. I will be reporting them to the BBB.

I am still eternally grateful to the great Columbia artist, Mary Gilkerson, who recommended Complete Car Care to me many, many years ago --in 2004. Thank you, Mary!!! Doubtlessly, Complete Car Care is THE best car repair shop in all of Columbia!!! Bill, Patrick, and all the wonderful car mechanics are SUPER knowledgeable and VERY, VERY helpful!!! They are always ready to help and accommodate their customers. When new parts are needed, they go out of their way to find the best deal for their customers, and they explain whatever is wrong or needed even to those of us who are not mechanically inclined. I am still driving the same 1995 car I drove on my first visit to Complete Car Care, and I have no doubt that it is thanks to them that the car still runs smoothly ... even all the way from Columbia, SC, to Ann Arbor, MI, and back!!! Thank you, Complete Car Care, from the bottom of my heart! Here is to many more years of a superb mechanic-customer relationship!!!

I am new to the area and needed to quickly find an oil change place due to a last minute trip. I settled with GoodYear because they advertised a low price and were open on Sunday. They highlighted some critical work that my car needed but that I couldnt attend to immediately due to my trip. 2 weeks later my car had severe trouble starting. I was referred to Total Car Care, and was incredibly impressed. The staff took my car in Friday afternoon, and Monday morning called me to talk through the issue and options (they are closed Sat and Sun). Not only did they fix the starting problem by the end of the day, but also attended to the critical work Goodyear brought to my attention FOR 20% LESS! Bill and team were incredibly professional, didnt make me feel like an idiot, and truly do have the best prices I could find. I now have a reliable shop for all of my cars needs (I have a 15 year old import). At least check these guys out if youre looking for someone!

I have read all of the positive reviews below and I must say that I had a completely different experience. I have been in the market for a good, trustworthy mechanic but unfortunately I am starting to realize there is no such thing. I decided to give CCC a try to replace my Alternator. The service manager made a mistake and charged me $120 over my estimate. I understand that mistakes happen, but the customer should be made aware of the mistake BEFORE the work is done. I was told after the fact and could do nothing about the extra charge. Additionally, along with the stress and inconvenience of getting your car repaired, my nice Tervis Tumbler glasses were missing when I picked up my car. I hope whoever decided to help themselves to my property drinks motor oil out of my cup. Thanks for the extra punch to the stomach.

Great Service. This was my first visit to Complete Car Care. My battery kept dying, which I assumed was due to an alternator issue. I took my car in, they looked at it right away and tested both my alternator and battery. I only ended up needing a new battery, which they priced for parts and labor before replacing. Staff was knowledgeable and very courteous, prices were reasonable, waiting area was clean and comfortable (with free WiFi), and my car was ready within 30 minutes. I will definitely recommend to friends and bring my car here for any future repairs.

If youre like me youre looking at the overall score and thinking that cant be true. A repair shop with nearly a 5 rating, must be fake reviews. Im happy to say its not, its just an honest shop during great work. I went to this shop purely off of the reviews. There are two other national repair shops, on the same street as Complete Car Care. Two things to note: 1-The parking is small and will be crowded with cars, the shop stays busy. 2- Its an older shop so its not going to look like the newer repair shops. Dont judge this book by its cover.

My truck is about that age where smaller things are starting to go wrong. I have taken my truck to CCC about seven times in the last year for replacements such as water pump, starter, fuel line, tires, etc. My biggest mechanical fix so far (thanks to the awful SC roads) was replacing the control arms, ball joint, tie rods, and Im sure a few other things. Even then my truck was back up and running in only a few days. They do excellent work at a very reasonable price. I would recommend CCC being #1 on your list of mechanics in Columbia.

Wonderful service and wonderful communication. Ready and willing to explain everything and let the customer make the choices. They stand behind their work and will go out of the way to make sure youre satisfied and that you understand everything. You pay full price but the expertise is worth it; Ive been using Complete for all five family vehicles for over 10 years, and have never had the same repair done twice. They have also given me great service and advice on fleet vehicles. Call ahead because theyre very popular.

I am not an expert on cars or car service, but I have to say this place surprised me. I have been going in for oil changes and repair work on cars since my first one (in 2002) and this is the only place that has never tried to upsell me after an oil change. No "your filter is dirty" tactic, no unwanted diagnostics; they did the job I asked at a pretty good price, quickly at that, and I was out the door. I have no gauge on the quality of their work, but I definitely appreciate them treating customers respectfully.
